I also like to look at these festivals in isolation rather than the whole course stats.

The yard is 1-31 in 3yo hcps since BFSP 2008 not had a place yet in one of these sprint races over 5 or 6f.

in all hcps at this meet 0-19 with class risers

None of this means Poets Society can't win today of course but looking at all the profile stuff it isn't strong at all.

I have a slight positive, jockey form at c&d but a stronger negative trainer form at c&d but as you say doesn't mean it can't win today. I like the price so I'm going to have a dabble.

After a couple of days off i am going to play 2 tomorrow, i dont like MJs stats at Chester at all so i doubt i will be backing anything from there, however there are some good stats for 10 furlong 3yr old handicaps, especially if you add in going and other filters.

7.40 Ripon    Rainbow Rebel
8.00 Nottingham    Alexander M

singles and the double.

good luck Cool

that should read 3 and 4yr olds in handicaps, Rainbow rebel also won first time out last years so thats another box ticked.

Gl DAN and anyone else playing friday.

Out all day tomorrow and not back till late so can't see the markets. There were no standouts on profile or at the current prices so I probably wouldn't have played anyway.

Not playing today gl if you do...

sofias rock Hard to assess, obviously impressive in winning a class 3 romp lto and MJ does have good profile stats for 3yo listed races (stronger than all of these trainers bar AOB)

frankuus More experienced than yard mate but seeing this sort of trip for the first time a plus, the drop back from group company has not been a strong sign with handicappers going up through the grades stronger.

Jaameh Nothing strong for this one in my DB, no doubt plenty will like the class drop angle but it is pretty weak in my stats on that score, obviously unexposed at trip but at price not one I'm rushing to get at today on seasonal return.

Fire Fighting Great yard stalwart, conditions look ok and has plenty of success in listed events but this looks a different proposition to me today, much stronger looking race than when beating up lesser rated rivals in this sort of race.

card sharp Green and feisty pre race at Brighton didn't stop it winning in a canter, would expect there to be much some much better animals in this race but certainly wouldn't be putting anyone off, on profile not a standout either way. Slight worry maybe getting burned out on this stiffer track but we know plenty of the yard's sharp 2yo's just keep rolling.

xrated Saturday Hcps in may quite a tough gig for the yard on the stats, nothing strong for this one going up in grade having already seen plenty of this trip.

Pretty slow going at the moment but this is no surprise this month will expect things to pick up pace in a couple of weeks, certainly heading into June.

I'm going to give Cardsharp a chance. I was impressed with him at Brighton and he should improve, it is a more difficult race but i'm in.

Have a couple of angles at York despite some generally pretty poor stats there for the yard, nothing is flagged up today.

The horse I liked the look of on profile despite having tons of racing was Star Of Lombardy it scored highly with the class drop and the trip rise and I think barring one poor run she has given everything on the track this year.

You can usually expect fast ground that so many of the yard's like (including SOL) at Bath but the ground has already been changed back to Good now and it could get even worse by this evening.

The yard stats are very different with their cape crosses on good or faster opposed to softer conditions (46-222 v 5-71) and this market seems pretty sure this horse is not going to like it (only one try on it was in a much hotter grade) .

Will keep an eye on conditions later with this one.
