The sickest part of it is using a fellow MPs death to achieve this and also their argument that Democracy is at risk is going to directly cancel the real threat to Democracy which is the unelected bureaucrats in the EU.

I had to go check what role Hilary Benn now has. He doesn't have any bar being a constituency MP, Leeds Central which to be fair isn't a million miles from where this all happened. While I wouldn't be at all surprised of some cynical opportunism being played over this terrible event, I think him being there is entirely expected as with other local MPs who showed earlier in the day.

Don't fret eric, most people have known for ages which way they are voting,  fewer undecideds than expected from what I've seen.

employment figures are the biggest con going. the tories (and labour before them) have been using every dirty trick in the book to get hundreds of thousands off the official total.

I don't have a problem with debate.

It's the conspiracy theories, constant denigration of personalities (by both sides of the debate), and mindless negativity that concern me. People like Thomas Mair actually believe this cr@p and persuade themselves that they are right in what they do.

The REMAIN camp have continually said only that we will LOSE, LOSE and LOSE if we leave. As if what we have now working great.

The LEAVE camp have said we will GAIN, GAIN and GAIN if we leave.

If our NHS, housing, schools and prisons were in great nick then voting for the status quo would be sensible but the status quo is failing by the day and everyone knows it so I would have hoped the REMAIN camp would have pointed out how that situation would get a good deal better if we REMAINED but they haven't even attempted it because they know they cannot.
Of course they may do what they did with the Scottish referendum and promise the earth in the last week and fail to deliver after the vote. 

At least the LEAVE camp have pointed out where we will gain control of our borders, the NHS, housing, education and prisons.

Merkel is also using it. But as she indirectly caused this referendum to be so closely fought by initiating the current population shift, that is not surprising. I think remain would have won easily if not for her dreadful dogmatic behaviour and refusal to accept she handled it badly last year.

When I came round in intensive care the nurse was Greek, the one on the next shift was from Alsace.
Heart operations at the Royal Sussex were being cancelled on a daily basis due to lack of theatre staff. The worst was one a Guy who lay on a trolley for two hours while they tried in vain to get a theatre sister from an agency. He was sent home and told that they would call him back in the next ten days.
Of the three of us admitted at the same time one was sent home the next day as they lacked theatre staff. Perhaps he later claimed racism as he was Asian and they kept the two Brits. 
A story from the hospital. One guy had dementia and the African night nurse asked him if he remembered that he was going to have an operation in the morning. He didn't and the nurse asked him if he knew where he was. She had to tell him that he was in hospital. She asked if he knew where the hospital was and he didn't. She asked if he thought it was in London and he said no. She tried again with where do you think it is. After a long silence he said, Nairobi? 
An easy mistake as the other two night staff were also black. Yes, we need them but we need to be able to choose who we want to take in. I keep on hearing that there is a shortage of Curry cooks. Why do the Asians here not want to train for it?
Way back the hospital domestic staff were very often Irish. Girls wanted to be Nurses and I'm sure the training then was better in that they trained on the wards and attended classes in the hospital taught by Tutor sisters. Now nursing is a degree course and they see little of patients and when qualified many don't want to. Getting even more difficult to recruit now as bursaries are being replaced by student loans.
Seems that some trainees should be patients instead as the nursing web site says under help for students:
“You may need support for a disability or have health or personal problems. You might have failed a module or placement or decided that the course you originally chose is no longer right for you.......”   
When my wife was a nurse they were lined up before the Sister or Matron to be inspected before shifts... uniform, finger nails, all hair under cap and correct ward shoes. Once when my wife’s had not come back from repair after days off she wore a pair of black court shoes and was told that she was here to work and not wear shoes suitable for going to a dance.

Amazing how the leave campaign pretended for so long this wasn't about immigration when really they are just a bunch of racists who can't stand hearing a different language, hence the poster.

My sister is over and works in the City and lives in some **** town to the South and she knows no-one voting remain.Even her cleaner from the East who has a British passport will vote Brexit.

However with a points system there will be no difference to your treatment as needed workers will be let in and will still scramble for a job as wages are higher here.
