artie I would be amazed if the "majority" like him
the people who I speak to about racing can't stand him |

Artie, "just a handful of moaners on the Betfair forum"
![]() Just the 52 contributors on this topic alone, voicing their disapproval . Oh, and 2 are pro-Fitzgerald. Appears to be a majority against to me, or perhaps a silent majority for, maybe ![]() |

"artie" is actually Thompson's user name on here. See below for proof !

Good old Derek.

I always assumed that "Artie" was "Tommo" but if it says that on wikipedia it has raised some doubts.

This is not good to read today in the Racing Post.
In an article by Lee Mottershead titled "Who will join Cumani and Chamberlin?" is the following: "At this stage, then, the other as yet unsigned names rumoured to be in the frame are Oli Bell, Matt Chapman, Alice Plunkett, Alex Hammond, Emma Spencer and Mick Fitzgerald." |
|
By:
A frightening list of names. Bell & Chapman might be worth a go, but Plunkett and Spencer have had their chance CH4 and it hasn't worked. Hammond is hopeless, and Fitzgerald surely has to be a wind-up.

If Martin Kelly is in the ATR studio, it is a 1/10 shot that Fitzgerald will also be there. They seem to be joined at the hip.

Would Fitzy, parachute-at-the-ready, have time to make it to Galway for the opener at 5.15? I sincerely hope so!
|
|
By:
I should have added "Weatherbys permitting".
|
|
By:
Doubt if he'll bother - just saw him sucking free strawberries
|
|

It must be a nightmare for him, Goodwood and Galway on at the same time.

Think you've missed the irony, Feltfair. Fitzy is a man with a fine sense of humour. As self-deprecating as most in the weighing room.
I draw the line at gratuitous personal abuse. |
