WTF was that about ? Frankie set SDS filly alight and was in prime position being behind all the other horses. I honestly think that he begins a sentence without knowing what he's going to say at the end. Talk about making up the bull**** as he goes along.

I'm sure ATR do it on purpose just to irritate us, and they probably read the forum whilst the race is on to see what we are saying. Because he's there again I'll be watching Newton Abbot & Thurles in silence, I can't bear to listen to him.

John Terry - what about organising an online petition to get him off the telly. If you can get 100,000 signatures it has to be debated in parliament!

i don't doubt horses can win with one eye, but i'm sure given the choice they'd chose two.
I am sure you are right but the fact remains that they can see sufficiently well to race and win races.
I hear what you say but horses are pack animals and will often 'come again' when something comes along side. A horse, being a prey animal, has about 350 degree vision, a horse with 1 eye has obviously half of that. If a horse comes up on its blind side it can not be viewed thus its pack instinct will not kick in. Therefore i conclude it is an advantage for a thoroughbred race horse to have both its eyes intact!

"Home" is the ATR studio, so no good there. The bad news is that he was on course early doing some tipping in marquees, and he intends to stay on course all day.

His absence from the ATR studio today is beginning to concern me.
They have a perfectly good team of 3 people already assembled at Punchestown to cover the meeting, but I am very worried he will appear just before 3.40 and spoil the coverage. I hope I'm wrong.

Worst fears confirmed, the halfwit has turned up at Punchestown with his Orish mates talking absolute nonsense as usual.
It's Mute for the whole festival ,unfortunately just seeing him winds me right up 
Have just e-mailed ATR asking why Fitzgerald needs to be there as they already had 3 decent presenters covering the meeting.

Fitzgerald has had me blocked on Twitter for about 2 years - ever since I highlighted the "put £50 on for me" scam he was involved with.
One of his biggest sins was when he was presenting from a course and one of his own racing club horses was running at another course he never mentioned it all day and it hosed up by about twenty lengths at a good price and he still never mentioned it.How a man could have such contempt for his public shows what type of person you are dealing with.
When ATR needed somebody for a minor Irish evening meeting on a Bank Holiday Monday, there was really only one candidate for the job.
It just shows you how ineffective threads like this are! After all these comments since this thread was started, it hasn't made a ha'penny worth of difference.
