glad to see that you will be able to change the colour scheme to what the old site looks like.
once i do that, i dont think it will be as bad as i first thought. but we will see. |

I for one will never play multiples on sportsbook. How can it be a much richer experience with lower prices?
They are going to lose all of their exchange multiple users and I am sure there are a lot of us. |

No email for me. Maybe I have a stay of execution for a few days.
If any Betfair executive has a shred of humanity I plead with you - Leave it until after Goodwood. LET ME HAVE ONE LAST GOODWOOD |

Signed, please keep the old site.
|

570 posts it could have been 5700 it would not make one iota of difference to Betfair sadly.

Much prefer the old site too. Not looking forward to this change.

prefer the old site personally but then i'm now in the old barstard over 40 category in on-line betting circles ,but the new site will evolve as time goes on - hopefully better colours and a better feel .
a word to most on here though ,it's not volumes that matter to BF ,it's age groups . This is like the Radio 1 clear out OF 1993 ![]() They clearly want young 18 -25 yo ,and that age group may prefer the bright colours and flashing signage with smartphone comp . An 18 yo old user must be worth 10 old hands as they are the future for the companies and pass word on to their friends . Gambling is forever trying to stay at that level ,to lure in the young ,build up a loyalty brand and keep them on board . I can see their approach ,but until now they may not have had sufficeient young players - maybe no w they feel confident this will take off . We will have to see - but we have no right to tell them how to run their business . |
|
By:
Which day shall we choose to stage our stay off protest?
|
|
By:
i will still sign though as the new si=te needs more time ,even for the young'uns - it has a horrible feel -all out of proportion and cumbersome, would be nice to hear from a few 18 - 25 players on here for their views

Sent the following to bets@betfair.com:
_______________________ User name **** (customer for over a decade with over 100,000 Betfair points) How do I get rid of the epileptic colour scheme on the Exchange+ site, as promised? I can't see any option. And how the hell do I get any page to load in less than 5 secs, compared with 0.5 secs on the slick, efficient "Old" site? I've tried this "New" site again, given it every chance, but it's even slower, more rambling and more confusing than before. And as for the relentless pushing of the Sportsbook, how annoying is that to those of us who lasted a fortnight before being restricted to £0.00? And how embarrassing is it when outsiders see Betfair customers struggling with a clunky, amateur-looking web-site plastered with luminous adverts for casinos and arcades? I love innovation, and I'm always game for new technical features to exploit. That's why I've put so much cash through the Betfair exchange every day for the last decade. So can you get it into your heads that your refusal to recognize the thoroughly regressive, inefficient and unappealing nature of the new Exchange+ site will result in all that cash having to look elsewhere for a medium that welcomes it? |

The Flat racing in summer on bone hard ground is no great loss.Look at the card at Catterick today.5-4-3-4-6 horse races.I will give it a miss until the autumn.Probably save me a few bob.

RIP old site. Plug pulled around the same time as a large chunk in premium charges, just to rub it in. I think I'd rather spend the day toiling with backbreaking gardening than fck about at Catterick.
Oh, and the forum wouldn't let me scroll down. I had to switch to pop up, community classic, all sorts of fking about to post this. |
|
By:
Old site gone on laptop but not PC. They can't even shut it off properly. A reprieve from gardening which only makes me slightly less p1ssed off.

Not long now before I leave for the purple site.

Old site gone for me today all avenues just led to the new one. You can't log off the effing thing. Try to get on the forum and the window opens up and you can't enlarge it or scroll up and down or make a post. The only way I could get back on here was to shut down, google betfair forum, click on horse racing and back on now.
Multiples have gone, just directs you to the sportsbook rubbish. Looks like it has gone T1ts up for sure. You just could not make this up. I have taken my funds out and joined the other site about an hour ago. Vote with your feet. |

Old site gone for me,premium charge payer and not even an email, they treat us with utter contempt, group action is needed through a wholesale withdrawal of funds.
|
|
By:
@barstool - Exchange Multiples haven't gone - link near the bottom of the left hand nav to "BSP Multiples".
Ignore the thing in the betslip area about Sportsbook Multiples unless that's what you want. Feedback Next Horse Race --> BSP Multiples Sport on TV Where is the money? |

Thank you longbridge- I will check that out.

Just had a call from a young man at Betfair. Main points as follows.
There are no plans to do away with betfair exchange multilples. You can log out but have to go into your a/c details to do so. We will be able to access the old site colours from Aug 1st. Can delete the timeform clutter by clicking on their name. Also told him about problems of getting into forum but he could not help with this. They are taking note of our comments on here. Keep posting. |

One thing which really annoys me that hasn't been mentioned is the 'My Markets' collapsing whenever you click on a market you have in it. You're taken to the event list instead. More of an issue for, say, football where you might be working on 5+ markets and want to have them to hand to quickly click through. Now you have to reopen My Markets every bloody time you go to another market.
I'm seriously considering withdrawing all my funds when forced to use the new site and taking an indefinite break. Premium Charge, Sportsbook, site outages, New Site, XMXM, and so on have taken their toll. One attack after another and I dread to think what's next. |
|
By:
For me it will be a case of cutting right back on stakes to try and work out if it is usable for ir betting. My experience today tells me that it will not be.
I don't think I can adapt Gruss to do what I want. Getting fcked over with the PC as it is so a significant drop in profits and I will need to seriously think about whether or not it's worth it. |
|

I too am looking to get out for a while.
