I was closed down after two bets...
Have spent three weeks trying to get my "winnings" back... I will phone the Police and yet after three sets of ID I have been told by "Customer Services" that they will pay me.. Cannot withdraw as there is no debit card option.. Phoned Customer service and my balance has been doubled...!! Clueless operation.. |

DO NOT EVEN THINK OF HAVING A WAGER WITH BETWAY...

some of the stories you hear about this mob beggar belief.
their little trick seems to be to offer the £50 bonus but if you lose and they did not like the look of you wager they just do not pay it. if you win they pay the bonus thus kicking in a clause where you have to play through the bonus however many times it is before being able to withdraw any money. of course if you get restricted on sports bets what can you do, try their casino? if these stories are true then the fact they are allowed to operate at all shows what a free for all the industry is now. sounds like outright theft to me. |

These reports are quite disturbing - given that the said Bookmakers, BETWAY - are to SPONSOR the QUEEN MOTHER CHAMPION CHASE at CHELTENHAM.
------------- Betway new sponsor of Champion Chase By Peter Scargill 10:27AM 7 OCT 2014 BETWAY have taken over sponsorship of the Queen Mother Champion Chase at the Cheltenham Festival for "at least the next three years" after BetVictor ended its backing of the race. The Champion Chase is the first major race sponsored by online betting and casino firm Betway and means that the four feature races at the festival - the Champion Hurdle, Champion Chase, World Hurdle and Gold Cup - all remain sponsored by bookmakers. As reported in Friday's Racing Post, BetVictor had decided to end its sponsorship of the Cheltenham contest as well as the Haldon Gold Cup at Exeter and the Tingle Creek Chase at Sandown after last season's races. However, Betway have stepped in to fill the void and support one of the highlights of the Festival in 2015, 2016 and 2017. Bob Dutnall, Betway's executive director, said: "We are delighted to be sponsoring a race as prestigious as the Queen Mother Champion Chase and are proud to commit for a minimum of three years. "Betway is one of the fastest growing brands in the global gaming industry and we already have exciting plans in place with Cheltenham that will allow visitors to the Festival to get to know us a little better." Ian Renton, Cheltenham's managing director, added: "This is Betway's first venture into race sponsorship and it is great news that they have chosen to work with us at Cheltenham on such a high-profile race as the Betway Queen Mother Champion Chase. "I'm sure Betway will really enjoy the experience, as well as find it hugely rewarding in regards to brand exposure." Races such as the Foxhunter Chase, the Festival Trophy Handicap Chase and the 2m5f handicap chase on the Thursday of the Cheltenham Festival remain without backers. |

Highlights he trouble that racing is in when it has to rely on an outfit like Betway to sponsor one of the most prestigious races of the season, that's if Betway is still in existence come March

I have NO Bookmaker accounts. |

It`s funny how you don`t need proof of identity to make deposits with these outfits but try and withdraw winnings one has to provide all sorts of documentation, i.e. passport, driving license, utility bills and a picture of your balls

As has already been said, AVOID. They are nothing but a ridiculous outfit who are seemingly hell bent on self destruction. Anyone who has had dealings with them will tell you the same. Me included. There are far too many similar rogue betting firms around. Stick to those you are most familiar with and avoid the " Free bet" lure. It just isn't worth it. As for their sponsorship of The Queen Mother Champion Chase? Her Majesty will be turning in her grave.

There is a more serious point to be made.
The alleged "Bookmakers" must have a list of winning punters and that is being circulated around the newer outfits... Obviously against the Data Protection Act and probably against a dozen EU directives.. Time after time I have been closed down and I buy new computers and have a floating IP address... The proverbial will hit the fan I just hope that my liver stands up to the day that the shy sters are brought to task.. It happened to the Banks so why not..... |

I opened an account with them in July because I noticed they were 16/1 about Barrow winning the conference north, I tried for £100 at the 16/1 they layed me £20 and then knocked it straight into 11/1, I only tried tonight to log onto my account for the first time since placing the bet after reading this thread and was unable to logon, so I phoned them to be told my account has been closed and my £20 stake will be refunded in the next few days, it' seems a coincidence that Barrow are top of the league and are now 11/10 to win it, I complained how can they close my account after having one bet that wasn't even settled and if I never contacted them tonight they probably wouldn't of even give me my money back, I think this is unacceptable and this firm shouldn't even be allowed to trade.
|
|
By:
Holloway,
Are you seriously saying they are refusing to honour the original bet? |
|
By:
Yes that's exactly what they have done, they have basically cancelled it and said they are going to refund me my stake, they were too big a price at 16/1 on Barrow but that's down to their odds compilers for making a mistake and not doing their homework, and to be honest I think what they have done in this case is disgusting and they shouldn't be allowed to get away with it, but the worrying thing is these days these firms just seem to do what they want and get away with it.
|
|
By:
Unfortunately that is the norm..
For Betway add Smartlivegaming,Marathonbet (aptly named for the time that it takes to get a refund..I gave up) Titanbet, Winner and too many others to mention... For a Country that only survives due to mis Selling refunds from the Banks surely there has to be a case for all losing punters to claim that they have been mis Sold a dream and cannot win so their losses should be refunded... Good thought that and I think that I may investigate the matter further... ![]() |
|
By:
I can only offer my previous advice to not bet with "two bob flimpers".
Regard their prices as mythical because they clearly are. |
|
By:
Racingstar and I can only repeat to you that any sensible punter has been banned five times over by the alleged "Bookmakers" from this Country.
If you want to get on people have to go to these shysters that demand three forms of identification FIVE TIMES OVER.. However the worst are those chancers B oylesports.. Opened up an account with Se aniemac and had two bets.BANNED. Have £35 in my account and they want my life history to get it back... Something will have to give. This is not how gambling was supposed to be.... |
|
By:
I have been banned from all the Books several times over,HFT but, would never consider betting with these shower of ****.
|
|
By:
Point taken racingstar but some of us have and get quite aggressive when we hear the names mentioned...
Some of the experiences that I have had with those chancers would beggar belief.. The alleged "customer service" is at best woeful... However in all my betting experiences NEVER BET WITH MA RATONBET.... They are the worst ever.Liars would be to praise them. |

If we are unable to settle the dispute, we will refer the matter to an arbiter, such as IBAS, whose decision will be final subject to full representation given to all parties involved." I sent an e-mail to IBAS asking if Betway were registered.... Their reply......... "Dear Mr XXXXXXXXXX I can confirm that the operator, Betway, are not presently registered with this Service which determines that we would not be able to offer you adjudication in your dispute. However we will be contacting the company to see why they advise clients to contact us when they are not part of our register. In the meantime you would have to contact the regulatory body, who I believe to be Maltese Lotteries and Gaming Authority - which licenses and regulates the operator. Details should be accessible on the company's website. I am genuinely sorry we can be of no assistance in this matter. Regards Danny Cracknell Adjudication Manager IBAS " It would seem Betway lie about a number of things, and, in my opinion, this emphasizes all that's wrong with the betting industry in this country. How they're allowed to sponsor one of our major races, is simply a disgrace. |
