This really does nothing for the sport its pretty dark really, we all know there loop holes and other ways but blatantly doing it is no good to anyone who enjoys the sport dinner the same for the ave punter

i suppose plenty are looking out for this with him all the time at entry stages
flat winner around 80 stuffed in nvc and mdn hurdles on shoite ground gets mark of around 80 hdls returned to better ground = chucked in hcp if you get on early with these and they drift then you are more than likely safe as houses laying off for loss on day |
By:
i said it before and i'll say it again, the days of handicap marks only given for placed horses is here now - its needed!

By:
looks ''special'' from behind also cheering that one home
By:
time and again this ****** horses are unable to show anything until handicapped then take off when heavily backed with the flimsiest reason put forward for the massive improvement...and the **** even plays tricks with NRs and swapping jocks...just refuse to give them a mark until they show form in some way in line with Flat ability, even if it takes 30 runs FFS

not the horse racing we want

Funny that, I was under the impression all horses should be trying no matter what races they run in. The amount of times handicap debutants transform on their handicap debuts is uncanny. Jim Best wishes he was Barney, all I see when Best wins races is filth.

what at sp bondy ?

By:
Every single time a horse wins with this profile, the officials should investigate it, hounding connections mercilessly with questions about previous performances. If they can't work out what is going on and act accoringly they are not fit for purpose.
By:
hes clueless is bond
always posts something arrogant |
By:
i said earlier
some probably look for these and get on early following it down IF it drifts out again race day they lay for a potential loss knowing it won't win if it keeps getting smashed they obviously have a good price |
By:
only trainer knows
By:
that's what i mean
but i doubt if you get on this profile early in hcp debuts and they drift and you lay off for potential loss you would lose out? |

Plenty of moaning going on but how many people are incensed enough or will take the time to contact the BHA and request them to address this issue and change the rules accordingly...? At a guess no one, because everyone loves to gripe but no one can be bothered to do anything constructive towards stopping it.
In the event that someone is interested in leading the crusade because the media won't say anything, the BHA can be contacted as follows By email - info@britishhorseracing.com By phone - 020 7152 0000 By post - BHA, 75 High Holborn, London WC1V 6LS |

Have cuntections been asked to explain the improvement in form?
By:
Sir Bond just what for a double switch or something one day i bet you see it in a different light
By:
ie there may be some false gambles with similar types that do drift on race day quite markedly
how many of these win from this yard off top of head i can't name one |
By:
also having two in race does not help

Someone I used to know had a leg in a horse trained by Jim Best. They bought it as Ascot sales for 5k,it had run something like 35 times and had won once. Shortly after buying it Best rang the syndicate to tell them the horse was not fit, something they were surprised by as the horse had been running frequently. He told them he would get the horse fit first and then go from there. Few weeks later they were told the horse was fit and running at Kempton on The AW,they were told the horse had a good chance,it won pulling a cart at 14/1,it went on to win another 3 or 4 races I think. The syndicate never had a bad word to say about Best, just to put another slant on things

McCoy has an over 50% strike rate for Jim Best ffs
wake up you fools add that to this which we have seen before Cash in £££ stop moaning |
By:
They can obviously work out what is going on, but when it involves certain individuals they see as much as Stevie Wonder. Obviously if it someone they "want to get" they will question them I assume.
What explanation do they have to give though to justify it? Hasn't Jonjo even came out with the "I haven't got an explanation for the improvement" before?? Have read it numerous times before, I know this isn't Jonjos but once that has been said and only "noted" by the regulators they have set a precedence for everyone to come out with the same answer and cannot do anything about it. What about Johnstons showing massive improvement in large handicaps? What gets said? It is who you are in this game, if you are a "name" you can do exactly as you please with no comeback whatsoever. |
By:
bondy are you saying backing these at sp??
when do you get on? |
By:
Barton Bank and Duncan idaho, totally agree , tell them to get it placed and we'll discuss it again. really needs doing now

I think its safe to say that most of us on here depend on their punting experience and the form book to help eke out a profit at the game. Events like this just make a mockery of using the form book and the whole imagine of the game is tarnished. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the game is simply not policed properly. But, what do you expect when jockeys who have been found guilty of stopping horses are welcomed back into the game with open arms.

Impossible to play in a race in which he has a short priced runner - let alone two. Southwell 15 10. On more serious note on what basis had the handicapper allocated a mark to these previously unsighted horses.?Ridiculous. ----------------- Should NOT be awarded a RATING - on the basis of SAINT HELENA being beaten a total of 310 lengths - and 3 times PULLED UP - on it's HURDLE runs. However - Most unfortunately - The Handicapper will now be sat 'preening his feathers' - as it did not win 'hard held, head in chest'. However - In such obviously 'NOT off' HURDLE races scenarios - then the horse should automatically be awarded a Rating 35 lbs Higher than it's FLAT Rating - as the horse already had Winning FLAT Form ..... 35 being the difference between the two codes Scales. In this instance - SAINT HELENA would have been asked to run off 105 and NOT today's 82 Would they have 'lumped on', likewise - and messed about with dual-declarations, and then NON-Runners, today in such circumstances? Of course they would NOT. |
By:
i wasn't excusing it dunc
just saying it will obviously be swallowed when offered the horse had no form on it on the flat |
By:
far too sensible onlooker, when did common sense ever prevail in this game.
By:
whippin The form book says it hates soft ground,it was run several times on ground it would dislike, back on the quicker ground today you didn't need a crystal ball
By:
those who study the form of trainers who employ McCoy occasionally would not find the result surprising at all. I didn't have a bet, but in low grade races, previous form is less important than trainer habits.
By:
its purely a loop hole in the system that a trainer can exploit
unfortunately if they can get away with it, they will NEVER GIVE A SUCKER AN EVEN BREAK |
