a couple of people have commented why lingfield was included, i have taken out the 3 lingfield aw selections as this is called a turf thread, there will be no aw selections posted here over the season.

plenty of runners today but no selections.

Looking at AW during flat months (May-Sept) there seems to be some merit looking at maidens & hcps group
Very few odds on winners (I counted 4) in that grouping.
Very few higher class hcps (B & C grades amount to six, including one 2yo race)
He's gone away from sellers and claimers on AW in that summer period (Last winner 2003)
There is probably good reasoning to run on AW for such a stable in the summer months, but it's probably easier to ignore
as time is taken up very quickly in those mid season months.

so far so good v

interested in seeing how bahamian art runs this evening at newcastle, fastest 3f visually on turf so far for a 2yo, was never ever going to keep that up on its debut.

looked a bit raw though certainly not one for punting 5f on soft at this sort of price.

sorry virgin just been stuck on the phone

it doesn't tick enough boxes but a dire race and although i usually prefer fast ground for the johnston horses, he has a decent record of putting his 3yo's on soft for the first time especially if they were well stuffed lto and the pedigree is ok for soft too from a limited sample, master craftsman really devoured bad ground!.

problem with Johnston horses following form so hard
very rare they follow the form book
so most of time im laying at shorter prices

Should we be reading  anything into the fact that Johnston has two in the last at Newmarket and the stable jockey has his only ride of the day on one of them ?

Thoughts welcome.

The time he had a winner with two or more runners in this class of 3yo hcp Nmkt over 8f there were three in the race
SEA LORD winner 13/2, Colepepper 7th 28/1 and Karaka Jack 9th 11/1

I make it 6 from 13 when more than one runner in clas 2 hcp 3yo+ race at Nmkt (I'm sure there's more that I missed)

am still waiting on BF resettling the 3 a/w races ,a sent them an email saying it was a mistake and they should not have been included but have not had a reply LaughLaughLaugh

What a shocking stunt .....nearly as bad as 1874,s aftertime Sad (i backed it as well but dont want to shout about it) Laugh

take the horses out but leave the steaks imo ,if all three had won whats the chances of retrospective tidy up having taken place ?

a good thread but you cant be all spread sheeeted up and out with the tipex like taht imo

i don't really understand wht your problem is

if i'd filled this thread up with aw selections it wouldn't have done what it said on the tin would it?

it's hardly going off track, there were 3 selections that don't belong in a flat thread, if i want to do aw selections i will put them up separately.

so in effect the results are exactly what the thread is set up to do.

there will not be any more changes, i'm pretty close to giving up on this place tbh as its full of aggression and negativity or complete tools, just about had enough.

still can't believe the price of that hearts, his 2yo mukhmal won a class 2 conditions race over 5f fto at musselburgh recently, would have thought the one yesterday would have seen more support.

sherston was the one today that ticked nearly all the boxes but it didn't quite score enough pts to qualify.

so if they were 3 winners you would have taken them out ?
By:
stridingedge
When: 03 May 14 15:53
i made changes to the table and decided that the thread would go down the line of flat only rather than aw selections included.

if i were to put more aw selections in throughout the season those 3 would have stayed in but there will be none on this thread so it just looked a bit odd for there to be 3 aw selections.

the decision i made would of meant that the aw selections would of been taken out regardless.

it's really up to you what you believe, the thread title has now been adhered to so i don't see why anyone needs to get their knickers in a twist.

if i do an aw thread those 3 selections will be included.
