Think you will find this fellow went very big IR when he last won here and as such if not green pre race very hopeful during. Keep the insults flowing.
By:
Tone a bit harsh granted but wasnt intended to be an insult.
By:
do you know what an asian line is big grime?
By:
Nice green and a few win keep bets at silly odds.

By:
Yep a train track that runs through china.
Have no need of it tho. ![]() |

That's funny! Losing is not.

Spot on Lime grove, same as last time!
By:
very intresting thread..one to keep an eye on.
By:
Thanks kavvie, just keen to generate some interest in horses, trading and exchange betting as there is precious little of that on here!
I got JS wrong but made a small profit as the thread highlighted the Yarmouth 7 furlong vole running over hurdles in what was likely to be a fast run novice at Stratford. Enzo questioned what was JS doing in the race. We will take him on next time. I don't get it right all the time as I stood to win 1200 on Sir Reginald in the win markets and traded out at a small loss! |

i do a bi of trading myself.but im not operating to big stakes so its tough enough.ill follow ur progress..i often get whispers for horses and thats prob where my ownfall is.ie not trading out or forgettng to!!.i got one a few eves ago.backed it at 16 here.touched 1.02 and got beat.how stupid was i,i just simply never done it
By:
Like i said on the front page, we should never knock a man for having a opinion, yep he got that way wrong, but he did not run away and hide like 99% would of done after it happened.

Layed Chocala 5.15 Chester @4.1
Looks a decent and competitive race and one which should be tradable. To start with he has traded higher than this price so some scope there but there are plenty others who have an interesting profile which may attract money. If not green pre race there should be scope IR as he hardly looked quick at Kempton and horses rarely travel kindly all round this track in a well run race which seems likely. He can win this but looks very short to me at this stage. |
By:
well by your logic - the shorter it went the more the exposure you d have had. Hope you ll have kept enough of your recent spike to have shown a short term profit.
By:
did well to get out of that travelled like a dream whole way

Minor loss on race as the market moved my way early and directly after the withdrawal. To turn green I needed something in running but as the previous poster said he simply travelled to well.

^ Laughable
admit defeat now son - you will not win. |
By:
Your ability to ignore the fact that as predicted Limegrove went to double figures tells me you are simply trying to rubbish what I am doing. The market on todays trade went exactly as stated, I am not stupid enough to think that you can win in a straight line but it is a strategy that works well with little risk.

Corbi was i right is it

I cant see how it is little risk - but you carry on.

Layed Callisto Moon 2.40 Bath @8.6
Recent hurdle run was modest. Races off his highest mark for 2 years in what looks a competitive race. His normal front running style is better suited to small fields and firm ground. Outside draw not helpful so all in all not much to like today. Could win as course form is strong but I can see the potential for a significant pre race drift here and a winning trade. |

2.40 Bath Chapter Five
Chapter Five's effort yesterday caught me by surprise on a busy day, up in class on good ground I was happy not to back her until she almost won the race time was very good much better than the later small field Class 3. She seems to defy the Sire stats My main hope if she runs, is she's saved some energy for today. Effectively 2Ibs higher today with Hanagan in the saddle small win @ 6.6 Good Luck with the trade NOW WE KNOW |

Vous Aussi Virgin
Tough race to find the winner but your fellow has more going for it than most. |
By:
Easy green which is pleasant. Don't think this will shine today.

NOW WE KNOW well done

Thanks Virgin, I put up decent money last night as a place lay but kept getting upped so cancelled the lay! Nice green but would have better to get more but then again I thought JS was a stiff but made a bit!
Next stop hurdling for Chapter Five. |

Yeah can't see why not ...

Layed Quantum Dot 5.0 Wolv @3.5
Looks a decent contest and he could win this but looks like a potential drifter from this point. There is proven form in this race and potential. The draw is no more than ok. |
By:
Modest green achieved. Interesting to see how he breaks as he looked very green first time. Gelding next if he misbehaves.
By:
Layed Sail And Return @4.7 4.35 Stratford.
His hurdle rating gives him a decent chance but this does not tell all the story. So far over fences he has looked far from fluent and did miss out the odd hurdle. This is a decent race with 6 with some sort of chance so that is a good starting point for any trade looking to go green. The favourite and Maller Tree are decent and the latter could improve for the change to a small stable and there are others. I will be looking to green out most pre race but leave some for IR as I doubt he will be foot perfect. We shall see. |
By:
now we know.....I backed limegrove at 3.65...........but I agree when you look at his style he was long odds on to trade a lot bigger......having read this thread its something I will look at in the future
By:
I layed it in its previous win at Wolverhampton and got matched in running on a back cover trade @48 which turned a modest winning trade into something really decent. They don't always run how you expect but knowledge of running styles tends to dictate if I try and get out before the off or leave some IR.
Not convinced over Sail and Returns jumping so we shall see, all the best. |
By:
Decent result but would have been better with more pre race drift. He had clearly be reschooled and although looking to jump well the reality was he was spending plenty of time airborne!
happy to take him on again as these races will get even harder to win. |
By:
Given he was trading shorter than you layed him for most of the race when IR did you successfully trade out?
By:
It was going my way just after 3 out with keep bets doing the job. Granted not perfect as I hoped for some mistakes early but to be honest his jumping did not look to be fluent and I cant say I was unduly worried at any stage of the race.
