Same ride he gave all the horses this week. This time the other jockeys didn´t split their legs like cheap wh****.

The biggest clown of them all and everyone thinks he's wondeful. Amazing, had all the outside to run down but he can never ever keep it simple, to not get placed there was impossible but he managed it, seriously HATE him.

Agreed Buick shut the door on him, while C. Gannon waved him through in the previous one.

yep everyone is a great rider on ch 4.They are always brilliant rides, never dare criticise the **** ups or non triers.

Wouldn't want to upset anyone if it might risk their next contract.

Hot Snap beats Sky Lantern again. People only complaining about Sky Lantern because it happened in the last furlong.

Should try looking at the run of Hot Snap. She was blocked 3 times between the 4 furlong and 2 furlong pole.

Sky Lantern will never beat Hot Snap.

You don't ride a Guineas winner for a place in the Nassau...adds nothing to the stud value

Probably would not have won but it was a mistake to go back inside when he could have stayed clear of trouble by staying wide.

Race riding, on a hold up filly, you can't say he didn't try. Cant get em all right
Brilliant jockey.

Would go as far to say it would have been very hard to have ridden it any worse, WHY come back inside? Mental.

Yet again what should have been a great race ruined by incompetent, egotistical Smurphs.

Take a bow Hughes, Queally and Frank.

was forced inside by buick coming down the hill and then buick went across him again near the finish as he went to move through the gap to come and win the race.

unlucky.

Correct Outpost and the race reading of some posters on here is embarrassing and you sometimes wonder did we all watch the same race.

Should have been aware buick was coming on the outside....a blind man could see what was going to happen..

Precisely Koi, he wasn't unlucky, he was incompetant.

buick will probably get a holiday for careless riding

Held up in touch in midfield, closed to track leaders and travelling well but nowhere to go over 1f out, hampered 1f out, badly hampered again soon after, some room and pushed along inside final furlong, no headway and not given a hard time after.

If you guys honestly expect racing to go to plan in big fields at Goodwood then you are expecting too much.

Being aware of something happening doesn't necessarily mean you can do something about it.

When: 03 Aug 13 16:44
So what was to stop him holding his position wide and then kicking on????
By:
Cider
When: 03 Aug 13 16:49
It was more to do with good race riding from Buick than particularly bad tactics from Hughes. Goodwood is synonymous with interference and bad luck in running.
By:
ima_mazed66
When: 03 Aug 13 16:54
Except that Buick didn't just hold his line to stop Hughes, he hit his horse with the whip in the wrong hand to take his horse into Hughes and knock him inside.

which is why its best to keep it simple. Some on here can never accept a jockey makes a mistake, always trying to be the smart a r se by defending them.it was a mistake to come inside. It dosnt make you clever just because you parrot everything Fitzgerald or Mcrath say, just gullible.

Best just to ignore them toronto. Sure they just say the opposite for attention
