The bookmakers favourite strikes again. An absolute masterclass of the inept - horse had so much left he wanted to go round again.

Knew what he was doing, didn't he?

Wouldn't mind seeing a head-on, just to see how much room there was before he steadied it and switched left.

Seen the head on , trust me George he could have got a bus up the rail if he wanted to. Absolutely no need to switch the horse

Horse was easy to back beforehand, and plenty seemed prepared to take it on IR.

Anyone know how low it traded?

He also seemed to hold the horse behind the winner even after he moved off the rail, before finally coming wide.

im certain one of the main probs is as ive said before the trainers book him because of the perception thehorse needs tobe played late ,,,,so its not his cunning plan its usually the owners ...riding behind is always going to be chancy ...if the openings happen it good if not mayhem

8/1 was the money down?
By:

When: 01 Apr 13 16:49
It was backed Feltfair, doesn't need to be an evens shot for the money to be down.

Compare it to the hold up ride where it drifted pre off and you get a fair idea what the guy is all about

Horse had best adjusted time from Haydock and perfectly entitled to be in the frame.

He is always going to meet bad luck with the style he is known for. And that hold up style is why trainers/owners want him.

The puzzling thing is you can see the top six jockeys improving
their style/technique/interpretation and reaction to race tactics between 20 and 35.

He doesn't seem to be improving.

i do also know that the bell horse was fancied and that connections of the horse and stable thought it would go close and were going to back it ... so your idea that it wasnt off is really a load of wishfull thinking on your part .Backing ist time out 2yos is indeed chancy if you back them thats your choice .But dont cry like a girl if your guess is wrong

Kemo if you can't see that he pulled that horse than I'll use your words and maybe suggest the game isn't for you.
Now I'll leave you to it.

ive watched the race ,,, it wasnt pulled ... if it was im certain the stewards would have looked at it ,,, at worst it was a bad error of judgement ,,, perhaps your looking for something with this much maligned jockey that isnt there ,,,i do know the stable connections punted it ,,, so if you think then they would pull it your wrong .that being said you are entitled to your view ... lets simply agree to differ ,,,if my words offended im sorry ,,

i didnt have a bet in the race ,,, its time out horse that was short in price and hadnt fulfilled its early promise last year against a few unknowns .there must be better short priced things to back ..  so def was mislead .... i know this is so because other stuff ive had over the years has been spot on ,,, incidently i wasnt told to bet this horse simply that connections were betting it and it was fancied ,,, theres a huge difference .. if thats being put away your wrong
By:
kemo sabe
When: 01 Apr 13 17:52
ohh dear that should have been not misled ,,, ahh well its been a long day ..

He was drawn in stall 1 on the outside, zig zags in behind the other horses and ends up on the rail with a big enough gap for a bus to go through but decides to take a pull and switch wide again, finishes with a tankfull on the bridle and beaten under a length.
I will agree to disagree keme as it is just opinions after all. What I will say is if you are right and he was trying then he really rode a shocker there

what you said is fair enough .... the horse was full of running and with a better ride would have hosed up ,,, it seemed to be the best horse on the day ,,, so the info was right all we differ on is was it off ,,,,it should have won ,,, if it wasnt off why would it get so close ,,,

tell you what next time i get a positive word about one of the bell horses ,,, incidently not a trainer ive had much faith in ,,, all his horses are swans ,i will post the exact comments and y can make up your own mind ,and then judge my words
