which considering the day is probebly a very good guess ...

By:
sharp money early doors at 2/1 why the drift, dont know, a poor ride, imo
By:
you sum it up well sir ...

come off it kemo. this forum is full of 'been tolds' with 'inside info' from 'connections'.
nothing wrong with that i guess until the 'info' is proved to be nonsense and then the 'insider' comes back on and attempts to defend the 'info'. that horse wasn't given the ride of a horse that connections expected to win. that was obvious. ![]() |

Guys
1 I hardly ever post here but have been reading the forum for a number of years 2 I hardly ever place a bet on BF However 1 I backed the horse 2 I thought Spencer gave it a terrible ride Star Sports Bet sent a tweet about 30 mins before the off and I quote: "Punters are pawning there #EasterEggs in order to back Fils Anges in the 4.10 at #Yarmouth. We are now 13/8" Hope this helps? |
By:
Never trust anyone who doesn't know the difference between there and their, imo
By:
13/8 yet near 4/1 to back on here at the off (4.8 bsp)....was very easy to back on here 5 mins before the off
The market on here is usually a fairer guide than the bookies |

True - my mistake |
By:
Went off 3/1 with the bookies. Must have drifted from 13/8. That is a fair drift, add the ride it got and it's hard not to be sceptical
By:
kemo personally I'm not gonna speculate on whether or not it was off today, maybe think it was just another from the catologue of Spencers poorly judged rides, I like this colt and I think there's a nice little race to be won with him when conditions are right

the further we get from the race the more balanced the views ,,, im ok with that im not a person who wont admit that his view is incorrect ... i simply stated that to my knowledge ... and you can believe or indeed not believe my word that connections had backed it , the horse to any reasonable eye should have won ...it didnt ,,, the ride was less than good .im simply stateing that the horse was backed because it was expected to win .I repeat that i didnt back it because the price was short ,,, in fact if i had seen the drift i can assure you i would have backed it ,but far too much going on not least reading the forum ,,, im always ready to say im wrong ...and indeed apologise if its so ... but everything i do post is the truth ,,,you can chose to ignore that yet its true .

By:
having talked to bookmakers, connections and very shrewd pro. punters, all agreed that £1000's were invested early at 2/1 and less.
they are all gobsmacked and amazed at the drift and ride it was given |

Seems a strange one barry. But mr spencer makes a habit of messing things up, he must be in with some mafia types who like a lay.

well i do appreciate your confirmation that my comments were substantially correct and thank you for that ... i would be interested if you saw the ride did y think it was simply bad judgement or was it just unlucky as the race unfolded ...
By:
trying to convince myself it was a bad ride, hate to think of alternatives

By:
fair play barry, i hate thinking they way but sometimes it is hard to take. gl...

i tend to think theres not as much sculdugary as most imagine ,,, mind you just occasionally when someone has it off i think we are all sort of pleased .I have meet the guy and he is easy going as well as quite shy and self effacing .he does tend to look after the horses he rides in fact he once rode a horse of mine strangely enough at yarmouth and told us never to run it again on fast or even good ground as it hated it and wouldnt letitself down .now he could have flogged it to get closer but i think hes a decent guy .this advise we heeded we waited for the rain and it won several races that summer

there seemed plenty of money about for the Fahey and Hughes runners nearer the off something at the head of the market had to make way
By:
Spencer normally rides well when he rides from the front. He has alot of ability.
By:
He can ride well but I always look for more juice in the price when he's the pilot
On the subject of skulduggery most of it on here just smacks of people protecting their inflated egos |
By:
the markets are never simple ,,, i suppose the fahey winners might have had an effect ,,,i cant ever get them right .i backed one horse in a nh flat race in ireland ,i took the 15s which i thought was a decent price it went down to 12s but b4 the off drifted to 19s plus .i do know the small stable had some cash on it .yet i suppose the drift was because a mullind runner and two other big stables would be backed rather than an unknown stable out in the sticks .
By:
well mr judge ... what you say is very very wise words ... i suppose its like after the race saying that claimer cant ride ,,,,the quality of the jock is mostly factored into the price .Any horses he rides for M.Bells seem to be overbet to the extreme so theres little edge .If i back short priced favs i might as well stand on tobermory pier and throw fivers into the sea .
By:
very true kemo.
By:
ohh mr judge i love the phrase >>> juice in the price

By:
just watched the race for the first time,it was blatantly NOT OFF,should have won by a furlong, this guy does what he likes

larrence .... im looking at yr pics of stan and olly ... rather curiously im going to ulverston where stan was born on tuesday ,,, i shall think of you in front of his statue ,
By:
look pandora you can hardly complain ,,, after all you allowed all the troubles into the world ,b4 you opened your box everything was sweetness and light .im sure corruption was one of them as well as poor judgement
By:
lol. Have a good time m8. cool. i Must admit with the ride earlier, i was scratching my head like olly.

i was at the unvailing of the statue a few years ago where the sons of the desert were in mass formation marching passed the statue in the manner of the boys when they went away to a sort of masonic convention yet telling their wives it was a work thing .little did they know they were on tv ,,,, the wifes comment wait till they get home made me shudder ..they even marched in the way thy did on tv ,,, after ten yards the formation fell apart it was hilarious

correct pandora. as i said earier, i would never entrust my money to a frank ride. in this instance he made no effort whatsoever to win with the horse. a shockingly bad ride. thats a fact regardless of anything else. ![]() |

quality kemo. Laurel and hardy have always been my hero's , it shows with me and this game.

you seem like a nice fella Kemo, like you say markets aren't simple they're volatile and erratic thesedays and many factors contribute to a horses pricepersonally I think time will show Fils Anges had a lot on his plate today giving the scopey winner 11lb and a start (leaving aside the debatable decision making of Frank) |
By:
I would absolutely love Nick Mordin to write an article on the % each Jockey has with formbook comments like...
"Not Clear Run" "Hampered" "Unlucky" etc......... |
By:
its funny i was watching a few months ago an old black and white film showing olly as a sort of davy crocket style mountain man ,,, sort of the semi comic guy in the cowboy film ,,, he had a big range i think ,,, but i suppose everyone saw him as olly .
By:
i thank you judge for yr kind comments i do try to be nice .mostly .YES THATS IT .... debatable decision making .i cant improve on that ,,,
By:
yes joe would be a good read.
