ohh incidently all weather king snipeing from the bushes with no actual input is hardly joining the debate .All i say and have ever said on here is true ... i shall be interested in your comments about future aw races and see if you are really an allweather king or simply the jester

come off it kemo.  this forum is full of 'been tolds' with 'inside info' from 'connections'.

nothing wrong with that i guess until the 'info' is proved to be nonsense and then the 'insider' comes back on and attempts to defend the 'info'.

that horse wasn't given the ride of a horse that connections expected to win.

that was obvious.

Guys

1 I hardly ever post here but have been reading the forum for a number of years
2 I hardly ever place a bet on BF

However

1 I backed the horse
2 I thought Spencer gave it a terrible ride

Star Sports Bet sent a tweet about 30 mins before the off and I quote:

"Punters are pawning there #EasterEggs in order to back Fils Anges in the 4.10 at #Yarmouth.
We are now 13/8"

Hope this helps?

13/8 yet near 4/1 to back on here at the off (4.8 bsp)....was very easy to back on here 5 mins before the off
The market on here is usually a fairer guide than the bookies

Report starfish and coffee • April 1, 2013 6:24 PM BST
Went off 3/1 with the bookies. Must have drifted from 13/8. That is a fair drift, add the ride it got and it's hard not to be sceptical

the further we get from the race the more balanced the views ,,, im ok with that im not a person who wont admit that his view is incorrect ... i simply stated that to my knowledge ... and you can believe or indeed not believe my word that connections had backed it , the horse to any reasonable eye should have won ...it didnt ,,, the ride was less than good .im simply stateing that the horse was backed because it was expected to win .I repeat that i didnt  back it because the price was short ,,, in fact if i had seen the drift i can assure you i would have backed it ,but far too much going on not least reading the forum ,,, im always ready to say im wrong ...and indeed apologise if its so ... but everything i do post is the truth ,,,you can chose to ignore that yet its true .
Report barry dennis • April 1, 2013 8:01 PM BST
having talked to bookmakers, connections and very shrewd pro. punters, all agreed that £1000's were invested early at 2/1 and less.

i tend to think theres not as much sculdugary as most imagine ,,, mind you just occasionally when someone has it off i think we are all sort of pleased .I have meet the guy and he is easy going as well as quite shy and self effacing .he does tend to look after the horses he rides in fact he once rode a horse of mine strangely enough at yarmouth and told us never to run it again on fast or even good ground as it hated it and wouldnt letitself down .now he could have flogged it to get closer but i think hes a decent guy .this advise we heeded we waited for the rain and it won several races that summer

there seemed plenty of money about for the Fahey and Hughes runners nearer the off something at the head of the market had to make way

Spencer normally rides well when he rides from the front. He has alot of ability.
Report TheJudge • April 1, 2013 8:40 PM BST
He can ride well but I always look for more juice in the price when he's the pilot

On the subject of skulduggery most of it on here just smacks of people protecting their inflated egos
Report kemo sabe • April 1, 2013 8:40 PM BST
the markets are never simple ,,, i suppose the fahey winners might have had an effect ,,,i cant ever get them right .i backed one horse in a nh flat race in ireland ,i took the 15s which i thought was a decent price it went down to 12s but b4 the off drifted to 19s plus .i do know the small stable had some cash on it .yet i suppose the drift was because a mullind runner and two other big stables would be backed rather than an unknown stable out in the sticks .
Report kemo sabe • April 1, 2013 8:45 PM BST
well mr judge ... what you say is very very wise words ... i suppose its like after the race saying that claimer cant ride ,,,,the quality of the jock is mostly factored into the price .Any horses he rides for M.Bells seem to be overbet to the extreme so theres little edge .If i back short priced favs i might as well stand on tobermory pier and throw fivers into the sea .

Just seen the head-on, and as starfish & coffee and ged called it, more than enough space for him against the stands' rail; and even if he was anticipating Kelly coming across him and taking his ground, what the head-on also shows, is Spencer then keeping the horse in behind the eventual winner until the race is virtually over.

The stewards in this country are a feckin joke, imo.
