luke morris if they sensibly 'universalize' it; all-year-round, common sense will eventually prevail.

As long as R Hannon has a good season R Hughes could dot up if he wants it.

How about the Hannon Hughes Trainer Jockey Double before Hannon retires at the end of the season?

I'll be betting Morris, who i think could become this seasons De Sousa/go-to guy, mopping up at the days second meetings.

When: 04 Mar 12 15:44
Yeah i reckon so Delta.I doubt the ban will stand anyway. R Hughes wants to be champion before he retires and Hannon has a HUGE string this year.

On another note, i reckon this will be the last season for Stoute and Moore.

Don't know what the handicap betting is,but Makin could be interesting on that Wink

Had a little bit on R Moore at 4s.
Stoute`s poor form cant continue, he`s just 2 gd a trainer.
Also in my view, Moore is the best flat jock.

Very hard to judge.  Not many people fancied Hanagan 2 seasons ago and he won it.

From what is known I would be between Hughes, Fallon, De Sousa and Dettori and would slightly favour Hughsie.

I think Dettori was keen to go for it last year at one point and may push for it this season.  Fallon and Hughes have tried for it recently too.

Moore won't be too bothered.  If De Sousa isn't riding at all for Johnston anymore that will take a lot of winners away.

Varian now settled in and a big yard - Callan has been a 100'ish man a few times  - may get that xtra this season..

both the above big 50's shot

the handicap betting [when available] on them two may be of interest

it's all very much about energy, gordon won it twenty-six times, pat, willie, lester were young-ish and if pressed I'd be with hanagan again. let's hope the 'hanagan, the man agen' has been stood down before the flat season starts, along with 'croc!' unfortunately that leaves matt chapman in and that can't be tolerated.
btw outsider for the championship, michael hills, picking up his brother's spares!

queen bee -

dont you think if he has the one month ban - he will 'in his mind' be behind and not exert himself until half way through the season, like before - and then be too far behind?

Maybe but at the price a risk worth taking,on the morris subject rkl mentioned (you know im a big fan)has ridden 167 winners since jan 2011.   Which is incredible considering no big named stable behind him do you agree ?

indeed.

HIT book comes out tomorrow, be interesting how many horses the likes of Cox has to support him in the Turf  - and also - which trainers list him as their jockey, Cox, Stan Morre etc...

on a similar note qb - Fallon only had Cumani as his 'biggie' in 2011 and then only got 27 winners from that barn

Morris just needs that big job imo and plenty of lesser jockeys have had the powerful stables back them.  The lad is honest and hardworking, which no disprespect to some of them out there those are traits that are hard to come by these days.

After Hanagan at 40/1 Cool and De Sousa at 66/1 Cry

This year its Buick at 40's and 33's. There was an interesting article with him and his agent towards the end of last season where he spoke about how they had flirted with the idea of making a challenge but felt he was a bit to far back. Finished with 100 winners and barely rode outside his normal commitments. If he's up for it and puts himself about he'll be a big player. Hopefully his jaws not too bad.

Also had a small investment on Tylicki at 66's after the northern merry-go-round. Very impressed with him as a jockey and I think he will be in a lot of demand this season.

yeah agree cox prob his highest profile backer, ridden group winner for him last 2 years.
Prob he got what do you class as a big job these days, and how many are empty ?

Buick got no chance, the job he has will not allow him chasing round the country.                                          Outside rides will be at a min, as jg wont want him banned on other trainers horses, making him miss big meets for jg AGAIN this year  !

Luke Morris has no chance, his turf stats are bad  2011 32/508 and 2010 20/302

Callan is worth a punt at the price though I think Hughes is the likely winner
