If you are a 'valuable' customer to them, tip the manager and then ask him to phone phone customer services and ask for an ex-gratia, imo...
By:
ok thannks, will try that.

the ante post rule is that bets are accepted all in - run or not, that did not apply here
race was not ante post as it was 48 hour decs and in your instance a r4 may have applied had there been a non runner it should be settled as best odds guaranteed TOMORROW'S RACES UK and Ireland - Best Odds Guaranteed all races You don't need to worry about taking a price again. Quite simply, take an Early Price or Board Price then we'll pay you out at the SP if it's bigger than the price you took. WHICH IS THE ADVERTISED OFFER TODAY FOR TOMORROW!! |

Thanks very much for that bigphatairyarse. Price first appeared from 365 early yesterday.
By:
Was it put on in a shop or online, cos different terms may apply. Kenny mann?

ub, bet was placed on the phone yesterday afternoon.

DEFO 100% BOG DONT ACCEPT LESS.
WELL DONE |
By:
Thanks TOM
By:
will hill saying this WAS an ante post race.
By:
kenny mann, why would consider tipping the manager and then asking him to phone customer services and ask for an ex-gratia if you placed the bet on the phone? All calls are recorded so tell them to listen to the recording of the call if they defo told you it was BOG.
By:
Thanks for that Repollag. My mate bet the same horse at around the same time. He's queried it and told it was a palpable error. Not very palpable to me.
I phoned today to confirm if it was bog as it was drifting heavily. btw I never considered tipping the manage. lol, was just being polite to the poster who suggested it. phone bet anyway. |
By:
kenny, nothing palpable about it, they are trying it on. Insist that they listen to the recording and if you are wrong they will let you hear the recording. I had a similar experience with the Nanny and they paid up after listening to the phone call. Although they insisted it was ex-gratia, but who cares what they call it.
By:
Thanks Repollag. They've just phoned me and told me when I placed the bet yesterday at 2-15pm I was told it was ante post.
It was a tip from the owner who sent an e.mail at 2-11pm yesterday saying that hills have just "opened" at 11/2! |
By:
so it can't have been ante post.
It was when I phoned today to query if my bet was bog that I was told it was, not yesterday. However a mate placed a bet on the phone at exactly the same time as me yesterday and was definately told it was bog. |
By:
The final decs were in yesterday by lunchtime. It cannot be an ante post race.
By:
Thanks ybm.
By:
The only palpable 'error' is them trying to claim it was ante-post.
They are a disgrace. |
By:
thanks chaps, need a few beers now.
By:
when will they all stop BOG?
can see it coming shortly. |

12. ANTE POST BETTING (FUTURE EVENTS)
a) Ante post prices are those offered on: i) Horse Racing prior to the final declaration stage. |
By:
millhouse`s suggestion that you should bribe someone in order to claim what is rightfully yours is yet another indication of how totally out of touch with reality the man is.
Good luck with this - you are right. |

AS i said earlier Kenny from Hills internet rules, which also governs telephone betting

Good Afternoon,
Just a quick email to say if your not on Aldermoor as yet William Hill have just opened up at 11/2-which is the best price around at present. Darren Hudson-Wood Hudsonshorses http://hudsonshorses.co.uk Lord knows why it drifted so much but it won well. |
By:
from the above link
from the age of five i was riding horses and at seven met red rum. |

Kenny.... bigphatairyarse is spot on with his observations (as are many others).
race was not ante post as it was 48 hour decs and in your instance a r4 may have applied had there been a non runner Flat racing has a 48 hour declaration stage, therefore ante post rules are bloody irrelevant...... the entries were known runners on Thurs (for an example, check Mondays Wolves card, which was declared today). Ask them to define their own ante-post rules!? The animal in question drifted to a peak of 16/1 on here (14/1 with the books at post time) before late money forced the hands to return an sp of 10/1. All the best. |
By:
mr crisp, not sure what you're on about with respect.
Areyoutalkintome???? Thanks for those comments. My mate after much discussion has been paid out at 10/1 so I shall have a word with them tomorrow. |
