Tingle Creek - noeeds no intro but sorry if already mentioned.

Jellaby - stumbled and unshipped Brian Taylor with Lockinge at his mercy.

Pink Elephant - handicapper and subject of my ever bet (at the time) when caught near the line in a Brighton handicap.

The only one I can think of that's not one of the greats is

Jon George who won the 1977 Ayr Gold Cup at 22/1.

Other great memories were Captain Christy's brilliant slamming of Bula by 30 lengths in the King George and that classic finish at Aintree when Morley Street and Granville Again were both still on the bridle on the run in with Graham Bradley winning the day.

My favourite of them all lockup, closely followed (later) by Dancing Brave and then, inevitably, DeaThs Stars and Frankel.
Pendil and Tingle Creek - fabulous post stirring immensely joyful memories.  We all mourned when Pencil lost his life.
Pre 70's, sry, but I can never forget Raffingora.  Absolutely burned up the Epsom 5f to set a new world record.  "Go on Raffingora"!

Raffingora reminds me of Native Bazaar. Another of Bill Marshall's flying sprinters.
