Good morning.
Great write ups ryanwe, summed the races up very well, I,m probably getting the layers excited at this stage but here goes. Ardesia 5.35 cart Won well over c+d sat, seems to have amir pasha and financial reg.to beat however off bottom weight and getting over a stone from these two,5/2 looks fair value for the selection to gain a quick double at the track. While not putting him up star tenor 3.25 cart went into the notebook as i felt he was "tenderly" ridden, more likely he is extremely modest, but i,ll probably do small ew on him. Great to see all in good form this morning and gl with selections today. |

Haha Lapsy, where's the positive energy?! I'm sure the backers are getting excited, not the layers!
Ardesia has a very good chance.. fair price too, looks like it could go 11/4 if exchanges is anything to go by though. As for Star Tenor, race looks tricky.. GL! |

Good morning,
Tried to rate one race today to keep my toe in the thread.. GOING: Outer course - GOOD TO FIRM (Good in places; Watered; GoingStick 7.9) (Rail moved out 2m from turn out of dog leg, round top bend and as far as 4.5f out to provide fresh ground). (Sunny intervals) STALLS: 5f & 6f - Stands' side; 1m - Centre; Remainder - Inside HORSE GRAND TOTAL Draw Bahamian Lad 16.1 3 Gracie´s Gift 14.1 9 Don Pele 10.1 1 Nabeeda 6.1 10 Frank Street 9.1 11* Braille 3.1 6 Villaruz 1.1 5 Steel City Boy 3.1 8 George Thisby 1.1 7 Mata Hari Blue -19.9 2 Emiratesdotcom -19.9 4 2:10 » Nottingham Good To Firm 6f15y Number of runners: 11 Key Characteristics Nottingham is very flat course with a run in of about four and a half furlongs, there is also a straight 6 furlong course. There final turn is quite sharp, but the length of the straight means that a galloping horse has plenty of time to recover and take control. Overall Nottingham is a very fair racecourse. The rails have been moved for the 2009 season in respect of the turns, so we will see what effect that has. Update: There now appears to be a massive advantage to racing next to the standside rail, which was epitomised when Baby Queen made all over 5 furlongs from stall 17 of 17 at 33-1 in May, we will watch to see if this bias persists Ideally I should play the top 2 rated but today looking at the trainer and jockey onboard Frank Street this will be my play.. I may have a small saver on Gracie’s Gift. Good luck.. |

I don't normally do multiples, but nothing stand out so a small Cartmel yankee today:
3.55 Michigan D'Isop trainer is 2 from 2 at track and has a 550mile return journey. LTO horse was 2nd beaten a head 3rd a further 26 lengths back. 5.05 Puy D'Arnac trainer/jockey combination are 2 from 3 at track, other met trouble in running when hampered by faller. Horse will need to have improved his jumping since last jumps run 18 months ago, but trainer does know how to get one ready when he needs to. 3.25 Ice Image trainer/jockey combination 2 from 2 at track. Beaten a nose lto put up 2 lbs for that, but runs off original mark today. 2.20 Sir Frank trainer is 2 from 3 at track with other getting hampered. Sir Frank won at track on Monday. Jockey is replaced by conditional who seems to behaving his first ride. Trainer is too astute to let jockey error ruin chance on fancied horse. |

Know what you mean Lapsy, can start to doubt your decision making a bit. But if you were making a consistent profit before hand.. then I'm sure you've just been unlucky. |

A silly stat appears. Tamarind Hill 3.10 Nottingham. The trainer is 3 from 49 ( 6% ) at the track. The jockey is 6 from 59 ( 7% ) at the track. Combined they are 3 from 6, but in handicaps they are 3 from 4 ( 75% )with the loser starting at 66/1. Tamarind Hill broke his duck when well backed lto over c/d when the jockey/trainer combined. Up 6lbs, but that may not stop from his high draw.

Serbia to beat Poland at 4/5 Hills / Jennings. Poland have decided on a new youth policy and are very much a "work-in-progress" football nation, aiming to return to the heady heights of 3rd place achieved way back in 1974. Serbia out qualified the French (never miss the opportunity to criticise them) despite losing to them in Paris early in the campaign. Their only other defeat came in their last qualifying game, when they were already in the hat for the Finals, so I would expect a strong Serbian side aim to get on the plane with a confidence building success tonight. Poland have quality, but who knows what they are looking to get from tonight's meaningless (to them) fixture.
Good luck all. |

ul ryanwe esp. 2nd one, dr last two runs 3/22 and 3/20 soft going at cork, stayed on well in each albeit beaten 30l in last one by shop dj who won punchestown champ bumper.old mc donald was 1/2l off shop dj and ran ok only last night. though beaten had a lot of horses well stretched out in them two races and certainly wasn,t stopping.usually takes a decent horse to win at mallow.
form is fairly poor with runners who have ran, of the newcomers maybe wait for positive market moves with them, but glory n. stayed on well and i wouldn,t put you off whatsoever. gl |

Only 12/1 now with bookies, although 14's on exchanges. I want to play a big outsider EW, but I'm not sure I can see Sariska and **** out of 1st two, so only 1 place to play with. Almost a no bet race, although I do prefer Sariska to ****.. just wish the ground was soft and I'd really fancy Clowance EW at 50/1 lol.
I don't have any strong feelings for anything in the Oaks or Derby either. Not excited about either race - Bad times ![]() |
