Star Today 2.15 Leicester is half sister to Mia's Boy and several other winners. Trainer Brian Meehan is not known for first time out juvenile winners, but introduced Lady of the Desert to win similar race first time out here last May. She is Fallon's only ride at the meeting, and he has a ride booked in 5.45 Yarmouth. If he is to make the ride at Yarmouth he has only 3 hours to do it in. Even with police outriders he would find the 140 mile journey along the A47 tough to do in 3 hours or less. The only realistic way is by big bird. Any money for the horse would be interesting.

Good morning.
Sophies beau 2.45 leic. 6 runs to date, on 2nd run in newm maiden had decent horses like dherghaam and suited an booted behind, underperformed in next 3 outings where it was well fancied.Last time out won a seller at course in pleasing fashion over a fur. less. Extra dis should suit. Of his rivals, juicy pear disappointed last two runs after winning maiden. Maoi chinn tire is consistent and was beaten by ghostwing who has been contesting group races(there is a line of form which literally puts mct 9 and 1/2lenghts behind **** turpin )However while i expect him to be a danger he has had chances in sellers and claimers which he didnt take.Kirstys boy has won claimers on aw,last turf claimer was disappointing. Doing sophies beau ew on the basis of further improvment might be forthcoming, find it hard to see it out of first 3, 7/1 seems good value ew. gl with your selections today. |

Holland to beat Ghana - The Dutch continue to stride on impressively after a flawless 24 points from 24 in qualifying, and some comfortable victories in the friendlies. The African side should not be able to handle the quality of the Dutch tonight, so take the 1.37 on Betfair.
Portugal to beat Cameroon 4/6 Ladbrokes - Having been held 0-0 by the FIFA World ranked 114th best footballing nation, Cape Verde Islands last week, it is imperative that Portugal have a send off tonight with some belief being reinstated to their chances of winning the tournament. I expect a proper performance tonight against Cameroon (world ranked 19th) and a victory should suffice. Good luck all. |

Yeah had a bit of 20s SNA with laddies before he won the racing post last year!! Tickets in the out house on a rusty nail waiting to be used ![]() Hate the derby, had my first real big ante post plunge ew on hala bec, wanted it for 10k, 3k a place, record books show sir percy won it, if hala bec hadnt done the swan dance 100yrds from the line record books would have been diffrent. My initial reaction was "********************************" Closely followed by "oh well at least he gathered him up and got placed somehow" Closely followed by "***************************" From 13k to zilch in 10 strides ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Lol unlucky Dr D. Didn't know you could get place bets on back in those days.
Lapsy, Olc Mcd looked pretty one paced.. but it is hard for horses to win first time out over hurdles. So he ran ok. What's with the people of the thread taking holidays over derby weekend.. madness! But rather that than Chelt - agreed. Nice to see you post Dealer, not heard from you in a while.. hope you're doing well. GL with your selections everyone. |

No mate, it was all ante post stuff, some ew some win, think the first price i got was 66/1 then some 50s ect ect, it wasnt just me our whole town was on it there was a collective grown all over town when he jinked!! i still have nightmares when i see those yellow colours with black bits on the shoulders. ![]() Is that another fortune dealer? to add to the one you already have? ![]() |

Today's Selections
Cartmel 2.20 Sir Frank 7/2 B365 (3/1 now )Course and distance winner 4 days ago first time out over hurdles.. 10lb claimer aboard which negates the 7lb penalty.. which results in Sir Frank in being 3lb lower than when winning 4 days ago. Quite a competitive race, with loads of horses rated below or above the 110 mark. - Twentynineblack is an obvious danger, don't think much of his win last time though.. often doesn't find much off the bridle. - Silverlord is quite interesting on his first start for G Elliot. Judges seem to have doubts about him staying the trip, but he got beat by some fair horses on his debut over hurdles a year ago, and didn't jump too well either. Market should inform us. Sir Frank if able to perform to the same ability as 4 days ago.. when extending beautifully over his hurdles and battling on gamely.. has an obvious chance. |

Fontwell 2.30 Murcar 7/2 B365 (3/1 now too
)76 rated stayer on the flat. Previous winning selection who was very well supported from the A Thorpe yard.. however, his jumping left a lot to be desired, and I'd like to think he can only improve in this department. The increase in 2f should definitely bring more of his stamina out and looks to hold a decent chance. Main dangers include: hurdling debutante and bumper winner Pure Anticipation, and fellow winning novice hurdle Like A hurricane. - Pure Anticipation won her bumper nicely enough, whilst being a huge drifter in the market. Receives 14lb from the selection and is a clear danger if jumping fluently. - Like A hurricane Came back from a near 2 year absence to win first time out over hurdles. Probably has the most solid bumper form. However, quite keen so doubts for me about him seeing out this step up in trip. |
