Congrats 54Minutes
![]() Lads.. See this 3.30 at Newmarket is the hot topic. Moose Moran and Monterosso both ran on the same day, course and distance.. no one interested in the times? Obviously we know the winning time of a race in this instance is mainly down to the pace set.. so might not be of much interest. Moose Moran 9st-3lb 2m 6.86s (slow by 3.86s) Green Moran obviously won the Monterosso race.. but I make Monterosso 9st-3lb crossing the line at around 2m 6.20s Since Moose Moran is receiving 9lb from Monterosso.. definitely swinging it in Moose Moran's favour. Especially as they generally go slower in maidens than big field HC's. |

Excellent stuff yesterday lads , kepe up the good work out for day byt backed a few mentioned , including drdirtys footy bet Hercules ! Gd luck all
|
|
By:
Important to add that Frankie stopped riding Monterosso last half furlong though, pretty much coasting.. not a lot separating them.. but Moose Moran is a lot more unexposed.

thanks lads, well done to all on a genuinely refreshing thread

I also agree with drdirty regards Moose Moran in that once it found daylight - jock changed his mind and went for the inner, and gave the second and third first run it really quickened away from the second who is another to watch closely next time - Abrasive ( good breeding) and a subsequent 6l winner rated 77. What really impressed me about Moose Moran was the way he did it off a slowish pace, and if you look at the gap to the rest they were strung out like washing - something you dont often see off a slow pace.
I also agree with Mepoor in that Monterosso is definately the danger the way he was the only one to keep tabs on Green Moon, in what is always a good handicap, so a saver on him for me too. |

LOL sorry for my typo on 'Green Moran'! Obviously meant Green Moon! Am going Moose Moran crazzzzzy [smiley:crazy]

Moose Moran 9st-3lb 2m 6.86s (slow by 3.86s)
Green Moran obviously won the Monterosso race.. but I make Monterosso 9st-3lb crossing the line at around 2m 6.20s Thanks mate, i aint a great fan of times but every little helps, i just watch the vids, see what pleases my eye (not porn[:(]) then go look at the form. Just by watching the vids id def side with m m tho. But like we all know its only an opinion. |

Anyway my other selection today is..
Uttoxeter 15:50 Lamboro Lad 4/1 (B365) The selection ran a very respectable 3rd in a decent Aintree novice hurdle 3 weeks ago.. especially for this time of year. - The 2nd 'Worth A King'S' hacked up 10 lengths next time - The 6th 'Stand Clear' was 8 lengths behind today's selection and lost half a length yesterday. - 'Murcar' was a further 10 lengths behind 'Stand Clear' and won next time out. So hopefully you get the message that this was a hot novice as these are the only 3 to run from that race. Main rival looks to be 'Chesapeake'.. rated 118, decent enough for a novice hurdle.. but coming back after a layoff, and friendless on the exchanges. Hurdle debutants Sarah's Boy (rated moderate 54 on the flat), Rival D'Estruval, Hinton Luciana could prove dangerous, but need to jump fluent to have any ideas of troubling the selection. Quite like Very Edgy at 14/1 too, as should appreciate the better surface over hurdles. Anyway, there are a lot of unknowns in the race.. but if this wasn't the case, then the selection Lamboro Lad wouldn't be 4/1. So it's worth the risk. |

hello,
read the thread about 3 times last night, it was a devasting day, cannot be done everyday but you can but try. King jock 3.45 leop. By process of elimination, purple land should not be good enough, six of hearts just over 2l behind selection after getting a troubled run, however get feeling kj won a bit cheeky. croisultan has a chance on his last time run and i,m not dismissing him lightly. brings us to the two main protagonists, kj was over 4l ahead of duff(seasonal reappearance) i got impression the longer it went on the more he was going away.duff beat kj 5l last year,so on strict interpretion of the last race it suggests kj could be improving fast. However kj seems a bit of a hold up horse with croisultan and s of h, i would like to see a good pace which hopefully pl or duff will provide. kj at around 2/1 seems fair value to confirm form with duff. gl all with your selections. |

By:
Well the thread wouldn't work without everyone's contributions, and it's important that people give diverse views on selected races so we get a fuller picture in which people can make their own decisions.
Anyway GL today lads.. Positive Energy [;)] |

hi guys some interesting stuff on this 3 30 race, looks like it is close between these two, only thing i can say is i think monterroso has proved he can go in faster run race, and im great believer in class prevailing when tight, the thing that will decide the outcome is which horse can handle the going, but im sure the other thing that will decide it as there so tight weighted is frankie on mine, could just edge it in a tighht finish.

Just a thought....
Bernard in the 5.05 Uttoxeter is due to make a return to form some time soon.Today maybe the day.Good price.W/place for me. |

By:
14s at the moment.

By:
monterosso 3 30 newmarket -5 points win.
gives me a + 35points total no matter what on week so just watching this race with great interest. and yes i did notice the times ryan times and class are my to fundementals for form, and your right there weighted to dead heat, but i think frankie eased little more than the winner in other race giving him a half lengh edge. |

Cheers.
Lapsy great call with that golf mate, maybe they wont win, but overlaid my green got a few playing for me, great call on himself by davis last night. Thats what makes it a great sport. |

lapsy pa..
could be right with your selection but improving at 9? ryanwe.. re-3.50uttox money for your selection a bit worrying but had a good word for rival destruval... may i say what a refreshingly solid thread this has become, great reading, keep up the good work lads,a rose among thorns, very best of luck to all..... |
|
By:
re ryanwe,
know results help, but to be honest i,m enjoying the racing a lot more and the veiwpoints of people. Currently working on a formula combining positive energy with negative energy on the opponents, find in golf if you will opponent to miss a short putt it works a lot of the time, done usually by repeating the word miss miss miss. By substituting the word miss with the word slower, i think it can be adopted in a mantra with either rocking the body backwards and forwards or swaying side to side. If someone else is present in the room it can be done subconciously. "Juju" i think would a good word for this process. I would like to think that some people would be willing to volunteer to take part in this experiment and would appreciate if you leave your names below. seriously gl today. ![]() |

Berty.. "Bernard" in the 17:05 is very interesting. With claim taken in to account, the horse is now 4lb lower than last winning mark of 90.
Last year he pulled up twice before having a 2 month break and winning on debut over fences.. so with the 47 day break again, he interests me. Just played it at 16/1 with SJ. Only 2 places, so just gone for the win. Wish us all the best! ![]() |

1ST RACE NEWMKT.
Il be amazed if ovthenight aint in the shake up, got the best jock, ran well in race last year, goes on the ground, everything looks set for a big run. Hill of miller is big at 25/1 with stan in the 5 50.I M O |

Yeah I noticed the money for "Rival Destruval" earlier, moviebuff. Don't really know what to make of that horses' one bumper run.. I'd like to think the horse was flattered in finishing as close as he did. Nearly in all bumpers they go a very moderate pace and then sprint in the home straight.. resulting in the horses finishing quite bunched up.
Can only guess that he jumps nicely at home. Really hard for horses to win first time out over hurdles though, especially against experienced horses with no penalties. |
|
By:
Correct ryanwe, hard to win first time out, missed the big prices, settled for 9-1. had a little saver on your selection, would like to think the winner came from one of the two..

Grimster
I'm beginning to think you might be right about Moose. He did well to go through that gap last time. BTW that Brian Davis incident happened a few weeks ago. They showed a clip of it last night. |
|
By:
thats a fair point moviebuff, logic says it shouldn,t but unless the last race is "wrong" it seems to have. I,m basically looking at it 2/1 is fair for it to confirm. Anyway bed is made gl
