Right race 2 Philli the 1 horse a little short but I think it is definately between the 1 + 5..  the draw 5 seems to do better so I will play W/P on the 5 and take the risk. GL. IMO.

Newmarket 14.15 tomorrow.. Have backed Green Moon 3/1 SJ.
Was listening to post race analysis about how 1st four horses dominated.. but this horse was cruising an extra furlong while everyone else was going at their mount hammer and tongs, in one of the hottest 10f Handicaps of the year.
Ok, so he only won off a mark of 82.. but the way this horse exploded away from the others over the final 2 furlongs.. he would of won with top weight.. way too many gears. Following the race Harry Dunlop had this to say

"He really wants good ground and I might be wary of running him on the new turf there, but he could be a Group horse. He's very exciting. It was a massive step up from what looked a poor maiden, and Jamie (Spencer) was very, very taken with him. The further he went the better. I think he's pretty good."

Can't deny that the trainer is very smitten with this horse. So tomorrow he is in a listed race, still 10F, where two of his main rivals are: Ameer and Alrasm.
  - Ameer ran a very respectable 2nd to Coordinated Cut,  which is probably the most solid form.. however, ran no race in Italy NTO, and SBS form in the UK is SHOCKING.
  - Alrasm won comfortably off 94 LTO at Chester in a pretty uncompetitive heat.. Although the best horse probably won, it was a classic R Hills front running ride. Stepping down 2f may prove to be a negative, and HC win was no where near as competitive as the selections.

This is what Harry has to say about tomorrow..

"I couldn't have been more pleased with his Newbury run and we're steadily climbing with him. I've always thought he will want a mile and a half in time but we've stayed at a mile and two for now, which appears to suit him well. As long as the ground is not too fast we'll be pleased."

With entries such as the King Edward VII Stakes (Group 2) in place.. hopefully tomorrow he will justify his place at Royal Ascot and go on to better things.

I know High Standing is dropping to 5f.. but I think this horse is still quicker than this lot. I think he is overpriced at 7/4.. He doesn't outstay his rivals over 6f, he outspeeds them.

Just give me a minute on the second race.. and will give you my opinion.

Sir Michael Stoute has a good record with his older horses, especially fillies.  Since 2003, he is 21-38 with his 4-y-os returning to the track after a winter break.  His tally with fillies is 7-12.  Tomorrow Rosika runs in the 3.00 Haydock.  This is SMS's first 4-y-o filly ( colts 2 from 2 )runner coming back after a winter break to run at Haydock in May since 2003.
Rosika was an improving filly last year ending the year running 2nd to Baila Me.  On the form book that is unlikely to be good enough to beat Barshiba who has done well at 12f winning a Group 2 here last year, and she won well last time out, but the stable has been in the doldrums apart from her recently.  Becqu Adoree ran well behind Dar Re Mi in the Prix Vermeille and has her first start for Cumani who does well with horses coming from another stable having their first run for him.  Polly's Mark also improved last year and began this year with a sound 4th to Harbinger - the first three all won next time out in Group 3, Group 2 and Listed contests.
This is a big ask for Rosika, but Stoute has a habit with getting substantial improvement out of fillies, and unless the heavens open she has a chance.

When I first looked at the 4.15 Beverley I expected to be losing on Look Busy who has been missing the break.  But she finished as close as could be expected behind Kingsgate Native last week, and should be able to act on the fast going, maybe better if the heavens open.  The weights are in her favour, and the opposition has a lot of negatives with Masta Plasta not winning since October 2008 and seems to be held by Look Busy.  Kaldoun Kingdom has won three good handicaps over 6f, but is yet to win over 5f.   Fullandby is only 2 from 21 over 5f.  Fitz Flyer's only win came over 5f on the fibresand when it was slow.  and Tombi has not won for 2 years.  So it seems it is Look Busy by default.

Catterick 3.25 Hajoum has his second start for Mark Johnston after leaving Godolphin.  He was backed into favourite on his first start maybe because Johnston does very well with horses coming to him from other stables. Frankie Dettori was not hard on him last week when 5th over 5f as things seemed to happen a bit quick for him early on.  The stable has hit form with a double yesterday and a four timer on Wednesday.  Hajoum is stepped up in trip tomorrow and must have a solid chance of improving the trainers record at Catterick where he is 5 from 7 for his 4-y-os running in May and June since 2003.

The Sir Michael Stoute silly stat refers to 4-y-os running for the first time since the winter break in no handicaps, mostly they are Class 1s.

Take a leap of faith with Reigner in the 2nd race at Haydock.. if he doesn't have to back on course. People currently trying to get on at 25/1 on betfair.. yet 25/1 with B365 1/4 odds 3 places in a 9 runner race is worth a few quid. Am probably only going to play it small, pony EW.. and tbh just going by what trainer has said

Reignier
John Weymes, trainer: "He ran really well first time out and, judged on his home work, he's improved for the outing. It's a competitive race, but he's in there with a decent shout and I'd be very hopeful of him getting in the money. He's certainly in good form."

By:

I like the look of Polly's Mark run on paper LTO.. but after watching the race, she wasn't really making any headway on the 1st 3 colts.. which has put doubts in my mind. No doubting it was a really good run though FTO, and especially against colts.. Surprised she is a bigger price with the bookies than Rosika.

Ryan my mate does not have a clue hence why I try to avoid giving people advise..  if you know the risks you will back an advised horse with the outlook of it can still lose as human / animal error is a common factor if it is not the day..

If I can find him his beer money then I will be happy,

Yes got the right 3 at Philli..

Lol I told my mate to back King Johns Castle in the Grand National.. refused to start LOL. Well I would probably just tell him the horses with the most obvious chance, because probably more chance that the bigger priced horses won't do anything. Or You just tell him to back Reigner EW, Polly's Mark EW, and Doncaster Rover EW.. and he'll feel like he's won if they get placed.. but in reality it won't be much.

How much did you actually win from that combo anyway?

But which combo did you have of the exacta, trifecta, etc?

Anyway scrap Polly's Mark.. I just think she is flattered by her last run. I'm more interested in Les Fazzani at 7/1+

Ryan, I told him to enjoy X amount of races on his own but if he wanted to finish the day with money in his pocket then he needed to follow a couple bets.  :) I think we can find him the winner in the first and I will be up at 6 to find another possible one.   hopefully.

ryan I do think Rosika should be bigger than 5/1 or 11/2.  The problem for the camel coats is are there 3 in the race you can be confident will beat her?    Take Barshiba out and the rest suggest the race is there to be won by an improver.  Barshiba's stable form is dire, and she can run a stinker herself at times.  The camel coats will take no chances with a Stoute older filly.  It's hard to know, but Rosika may drift in the morning.

hi guys, just had look at two meetings so far tomorrow, and i do think if there is any give in the ground which going by todays time its running good even ground , then lez fazzani will take alot of beating here, looks a group horse in softish ground , and his last run against dubussy is going to look good soon.
By:
RyanWe
When: 29 May 10 00:11
Lol WDW I can't be confident of what is going to beat her, but unfortunately she is priced up totally on speculation. Well looking at betfair it looks like she is already drifting. Tricky race, that I don't really want to get involved in.. but atm I like Lez Fazzani. GL with your selections anyway, nice write up.

Spent a long time on that 3.00h. know barshiba will lead, stay and highest rated. vulnerable to the finishing kick of what? I thought it was pollys as well(three moons beat her in maiden, polly looks  more progressive) rosika on bare form not good enough. the question with me would be how much stoute and the cumani one could improve and they can. race i,d like to pick the winner think i,ll watch it, good write up wdws gl with her.
like green moon a lot ryanwe could be special, also drs ransom note who quickened well the last time.
my main bet tomorrow is ghetto gospel 5.00 navan, think on his last run, he still has a lot in hand,
