124th with 523.4 points. However, I don't like the way they have run the competition this time and if they persist with this format in future I will probably not enter again.
I've been a regular since the inception of the competition and won £6 grand for sixth place some years ago. (On the flat when there was decent prize money) |

We are getting close to Cheltenham now, only just over a third of the way through the competition. Still plenty of points to be had.Its all about Cheltenham and those key aintree races!! I love it!!

I see there is a Cheltenham mini-TTF on the Tote website. £25k guarenteed for £5 entry. Scoring doesn't seem to be complete yet.
|
|
By:
at least they've re-jigged the horses involved including the horses that are relevant now to the big races.
|
|
By:
Some early entries already.
I'll give it some consideration once I know decs and going (as in 30 mins before closing time). |

I see that it is a completely different list of horses (from the main competition) to include most (if not all) potential Cheltenham runners.
Whilst this is much to the benefit of the new competition, I do think that they should have highlighted the fact as it represents a volte face from the previous Mini Comp and many may not realise this unheralded departure until coming to enter their selections (possibly after spending much time working upon the reasonable assumption that the Main list would continue apply). |

*to apply

I think the new tote management are on a learning curve. At least I hope that they are learning. The Chelt mini comp rather underlines all the flaws in the main comp.

Had an e-mail about this from them. I coldly e-mailed back to say that I did not enter extra competitions in protest at the decision to drop the monthly prizes as per the original TTF!

Nothing more than a greedy money making bid by the bald 1.
The 10 you enter at the start of the comp should be the ones that decide the top scorer at the Chelts Fest nxt wk, as it always has been, with a 10k prize to the winner. Greedy baldy **** imo ![]() |

It'll be interesting to see where anyone is at this time next week.

The big day has arrived. I just love the festival.
Finians is my big problem and won't have a Ryannair runner unless he turns up. Might throw a line or two in to the mini comp for some interest. Good luck folks. ![]() |

Must say the festival mini comp is uninspiring.
|
|
By:
I am quite inspired REM - will probably change after the first couple of races when I realise the £25k is not coming my way though. Good luck
|
|

It's the points that baffle me. 4 x 50 point races, 1 x 20 and the rest seem to be 10 or 12. So must nail the 4 bonus races or toast and hope for a decent sp on a star horse.

Up to 69th in the main competition after today.
|

By:
I'm up to just outside the top 500. Rather pleased.

Now 23rd and 30th in Cheltenham Mini competition
(Have to hope that Long Run does not win GC!) |

Well done aft. I put a line in with the same horses except I had Bog Warrior and not Solwhit. Pleased for Solwhit as he was a fav of mine.
Good luck today. |

... and in my cuniing plan I have Cottage Oak as a star horse in the Foxhunters. Just waiting for the rain that was forecast.
|
|
By:
Oh well - Thats my goose cooked!
(Ballycasey out)) |

I'm up to just outside the top 200. Got 3 of the first 4 favs in Gold Cup in leading entry. But don't think I will be bridging the gap.

Looks like you're in the money aft?

BW awsome. Going to take a good horse to grind him down.
Had a little each way on Cottage Oak in the next. Then it's standing in the rain at a point this weekend. ![]() |

Up to 115th overall, but no National horse in list.
Got On his Own as my star pick in a list with 644pts. |
|
By:
Only entered 2 lists in the comp (from the start) so with being down to 8 horses in both lists for a while (Big Bucks & Darlan
) Had a gd Chelts with both lists, now on 575 & 510. Not bad, all things considered.Gd luck if any on here are close to the leaders. ![]() |

In 5th place, but need the Waley-Cohen's to have a re-think and run Long run at aintree. Please, please run him! Also need this oscar whisky injury not to be too serious.

Waley-Cohens that should read.

Now for the thrilling climax at Aintree...
Anyone still with a squeek? ![]() |
|
By:
sadly not REM.
Got on his own in a few lists. But not my top one, or maybe I'd be in with a shout. |
|
By:
I've actually lost ground despite putting Zarkandar in half my lists expecting a win in the Aintree Hurdle.

274th overall so no chance.
|
|
By:
Good effort JOCI.
I actually had Triolo D'Alene as a star horse winning yesterday. Doesn't help much with the massive zero of Finians rainbow still hanging heavy. |
|
By:
I'm 119th overall, but no National runner.
On His Own is in lower lists. |
|
By:
116th in end.
