Have one in 8627th!!! Should I give up hope now?
Bobs Worth (Hennessy /GC) Long Run (King George /GC) Hurricane Fly (Champion Hurdles) Sir Des Champs (Irish Hennessy /GC) Sprinter Sacre (QM Champion Chase) Peddlers Cross (World Hurdle) Menorah (Ryanair Chase) Thousand Stars (Aintree Hurdle) Tidal Bay (Grand National /GC) Big Bucks (oh dear!) |
|
By:
My best on 347 and like Joci have another 7 over 300. Still convinced that about my only hope for prize money is if Tidal Bay wins a couple of bonus races. He's about my one horse capable of scoring big which I hope many of the entries above me haven't picked. Top list is - Al Ferof (starred), The Fly, Tidal Bay, Oscar Whisky, Simonsig, Flemenstar, Sprinter Sacre, Sizing Europe, Big Bucks and Grandouet.

38th in mini league. TB my star horse.
Was 11th before HF ![]() |

That's close REM, which runners do you expect to have out during rest of mini comp? I have T43 in my best (Welsh National), but sadly that was the line I had a 'mental' on and included Silviniaco Conti (got confused with Aon) for the Argento Chase (instead of Bobs Worth) so it will all come to nothing.

I still have Sprinter Sacre, but probably going to run out of steam. In truth I only decided to enter about ten minutes before the deadline, so it was a bit implusive.

By:
Have SS too, and Oscar. My entry was a late one too, as evidenced by my inclusion of Silviniaco Conti.

Trainer Oliver Sherwood is to run his exciting recruit in the Neptune Investment Management Novices' Hurdle on January 28.
The Upper Lambourn handler is hoping that race will provide him with the answer of whether to go for the Supreme Novices' Hurdle over an extended two miles or the Neptune over a further five furlongs. Puffin Billy is currently a top-priced 10/1 for the Supreme and 12s for the Neptune after winning his two starts over hurdles in tremendous style. "He's grand. I was half thinking of going for the Tolworth next Saturday, but I'm not going to," Sherwood told At The Races. One bullet dodged..... |

will dodging bullets run in the tolworth after only just running in the christmas hurdle?
|
|
By:
He didnt hsve a hard race in the CH they crawled for the most part and had a sprint finish. he is just about the top novice and the Tolworth has been muted as a target, I would imagine he would get an entry then see who turns up, what else is there between now and the festival....

By:
I've just read on another thread that nicholls apparently said after the christmas hurdle he will put him away for the supreme.

what was the point in having Tolworth as bonus race for Winter mini-game then?
Plenty of other races they could have included. Jokers! |

Is the list of horses the same as the main comp....there wouldn't even be any possible tolworth horses listed would there Confused I thought that ![]() ![]() |

yep, I included the two above and The New One on basis they might contest the Tolworth.
Waste of time - might as well just include similar horses as for the mian comp. Yes, I am bitter and will be even more so when none of my painstakingly researched Peter Marsh candidates are entered for that race! ![]() |

Useless now, top line on 292! Had all the big christmas winners, but not lined up in the right combinations at all! Still hold out slim hopes, but prob need Master Overseer to win the Welsh Nat at a big price!

Twitter feed confirms that the game has run at a loss this year. They must listen to players, especially those that enter a lot of lists and do a better job of promotion, especially in their shops.
The maths: 61.4k entries equates to £307k 70% of this is £214.9k (prize pool after deduction). 30% of this (money for 2nd to 10th place) is £64.47k. £250k (guaranteed to winner) plus £64.47k equals £314.7k. This is without taking into account the book sales and the deal with RP (mutual? includes 5k prize for entering via RP website). Aside from better promotion and listening to general grievances surely they would be better off reducing the deductions to 20% (admin costs have surely been lowered) and paying out more prizes. If they guaranteed a 500k prize pool they could pay the winner £200k, 2nd place £50k, 15th place £1k, 100th place £200 and have 5 'monthly' prizes worth £10k to the winner, 2k to 2nd and £200 for 20th. |
