Power and Emulous are my 4th & 5th scorers and hoping for #6 with CdA tomorow. Shame that HQ will spoil my sudden brief feeling of euphoria...

Power was more impressive than Camelot, he showed tactical speed and even weaved in and out looking for gaps with exceleration speed to exploit them when they appeared. Obvious favourite for the St James at Ascot after that...thoughts please
|
|
By:
Maybe we're slightly comparing apples with oranges. It might turn out that Power is a proper miler, and that Camelot had the ability / class to win the 2000 guineas despite being more of a stayer.
But then again, it might not. |
|
By:
Funny how we read different things from the same race. I was thinking that daddy long legs and wrote did each other no favours and there wasn't much between a lot of the horses. I'd be lookin to lay Power if he starts short in the st James palace.

|
By:
So you think he wont run many races and you leave him out, it costs you £10,000...woh tara woh Tara and a Partridge in a Plum tree. So you think favourite for the Prince Of Wales stakes after that.
|
|
By:
Restricted odds meant Tara couldnt back So You Think as a bet to nothing either just had to sit and agonise. For a big horse So You Think likes to hear his hoofs rattle and Cirrus Des Aigles the retrospective. Wothy favourite at Ascot, will be tuned to the minute for his final run.

Fine day-SYT in fair amount of lists, CDA in only a couple &, most crucially, Homecoming Queen in none. Being greedy I could have wanted Golden Lilac in more than the 2 lists I have it in but pretty good overall.

Shame that HQ will spoil my sudden brief feeling of euphoria...
0 out of 2 for me. SYT undid me also. I firmly belive this is not an animal to trust but then again Coolmore are not going toretire this one on a bum note. You pays your money and... |

So you think will take in both Prince of Wales and the C0ral Eclipse
|
|
By:
Aidan O'Brien said he has two races at Ascot in mind for So You Think; the Queen Anne Stakes - the race scheduled for Frankel - was one, the other is the Prince of Wales's Stakes, in which he shared an epic battle running a gallant second To Rewilding last June.
Tom Magnier said the prospect of bumping into Frankel would not be a determining factor, the feeling is that the horse is at the top of his game, he said a clash between Frankel, unbeaten in 10 starts, and So You Think, as "great for racing". "The lads are going to map out the last few races for the horse and if Frankel is there, Frankel is there. We won't be dodging him." "So You Think has an unbelievable presence," O'Brien told Sporting Life. "We're probably only really now getting to know him and doing the right thing with him." he said the 2000m Eclipse Stakes at Sandown, England, on July 7 was likely to be So You Think's last race before he went to stud, there’s only a couple of weeks between Ascot and Sandown but this fellow won two group one’s in a week back in Australia. |

By:
I'd be hoping SYT takes on Frankel, which is why I swerved SYT. The headache for APOB is trying to find wins for StNA and Excelebration and his large crop of 3yos. Decisions, decisions... In a few years time the TTF might become the APOB TTF if Godolphin doesn't make a fight of it.
|
|
By:
They will meet in the Eclipse !!!!
|
|
By:
Cecil and Grimthorpe will probably duck the Eclipse and wait for the Juddmonte which falls in August, by then So You Think will be in Quaranteen. The Juddmonte is usually a very weak 1m2f group 1, ideal for Frankel first step up to that distance on a easy track.

Gutted at Kissed being withdrawn from Oaks.
Only Maybe, or a horse not in the list, can save my season. |

APOB pulls another one out of the hat. Had Maybe and Kissed too. The writing is on the wall. ![]() |

WHY ALWAYS ME

By:
I backed Was for the Oaks at 20s last summer.
Left her out after first run this season. |
|
By:
Was a very lucky winner !!!
|
|
By:
Had £6 at what looked like a stray 50's someone had forgotten about, on WAS weeks ago, before opening run of season, but never considered it for any lists after that.
Also backed Kissed & that was a big TTF selection for me. Only remembered about the WAS bet after seething about Kissed withdrawal for a fair while, but winnings will cover this years TTF losing entries I s'pose. ![]() ![]() |
