If he's back to fitness, he's my idea of the winner ;)
By:
And of course, if he retains all his ability ;)

rubbish race with none of the big guns confirming.

Arkle winner imo
By:
You should of taken the fancy prices before hand. :|
By:
Wish I had tbh, only got 50s
By:
can't believe that went off 9/2...backed Sorcerer as i thought it wouldn't be the day today :-(
By:
Aftertimer, reported.
By:
:^0
seriously considered the 20/1 the other day, left it out as I thought he might drift a bit, dc |
By:
:D
Cracking horse, great to see him back, will be a danger to them all in the big one if he gets there safely. |
By:
let's hope he does, some arkle shaping up
By:
Thought he was an excellent Supreme Novices winner (I backed him - aftertimer alert)
The way he devoured the hill that day was mightily impressive |
By:
Fair play, cant argue with that after such a lay off, the Arkle is gonna be something!
By:
Nice comeback - similar to Osana's chase debut I thought
By:
Great to see him back - didn't fancy him today with the lay-off, ground & drift etc. Plenty of improvement to come imo
P.S - was a backer in the Supreme: Deep Impact 15 Jan 15:57 Supreme - Captain Cee Bee 1.5pt win @ 18/1 Search gubbed for platinni's 'Cheltenham antepost voucher thread reprise' for proof :D |
By:
Gotta love the way he pinged the last, then stayed on strongly.
A mighty effort after such a long layoff :) |
By:
We would of believed you Deep! B-)
By:
you backed himyet deep for the arkle ?
By:
TD :^0
What did you make of Dunguib ?:| Supreme's my fav race & he's in danger of ruining it from a betting point of view. Was actually trying to recall when I backed CCB - thought it was later, tbh (that was in the days when I had a proper a/p book going). Didn't bother a/p at Cheltenham last year until NRNB & only did one bet then anyway |
By:
No, trev - don't think I'm playing a/p this year to any great extent. Just got a couple of niftys on Solwhit @ double-figures. Done much yourself ?:| Apologies if this info is on Cheltenham forum, trying to avoid the place as it seems to be full of DC's & don't wanna end up like AR :^0
By:
Obviously really impressed Deep, but you're right, ruined the betting of the race, unless I was brave enough to lump on now at 7/4 :| Have got Bellvano at 25s and he looked good fto, so will just wait and see for the moment.
By:
no deep not really a few scores here & there...CCB one of them..but not at much bigger than he is now....suprised there still pennies 20+ left tbh..
re dunguib i think you have to be pretty deperate to back at less than 2/1....for a race so far off and the slight chance he may not run it. come the new yr sure there will be some e/w value gor the supeme..even if we're only playing for places.. |
By:
That's my take, trev - wouldn't wanna take even single figures on anything until final prep runs(Feb)/NRNB never mind 2/1
Although it's probably more unlikely than Dunguib turning up in the CH, wonder why connections are stepping him up in trip for the Deloitte - surely they wouldn't go for the Ballymore ?:| |
By:
If I remember rightly I was the first person to big up CCB on the Surpeme Novices analysis thread that year at about 23 :D
Haven't seen the race toady but great to have him back and very surprised he is still available at 25/. I hope they give him a really big break now and aren't tempted to run over Christmas - goes so well fresh they could almost go straight to Cheltenham. |
By:
uncle got to have more experience over the biggies imo....but maybe just one run inbetween..
By:
still 25/1 with Laddies
By:
trainer suggesting taking on sizing europe @ x-mas....

Far From Trouble 03 Dec 12:59
Arkle winner imo backed him and Ebadiyan today when saw they were running. Reinvested 1/2pt at 22's on the Captain for the Arkle. So I'm 3 handed in that race and the Champion so far and it's early December :D |
By:
Any opinions on Zaarito? Would hav won if jumped better at last and will also come on a lot for it
By:
Dad my 2nd a/p bet on this beast . 25/1 too big given his hurdling form.
By:
i place layed him today thinking he wouldnt like the ground , fto etc but was impressed today a decent outsider for the arkle
By:
with the big drift on ccb today suggests the word was out that he would really need this 1st run on ground way softer than ideal.....so i'm thinking the win is even better than we may think.
an ex festival winner still avalable @ 20s+ needs to be in most peoples antepost books imho. |
By:
just backed him with laddies, superstar of a horse,25/1 a fair price(looks extremely competitive race does the arkle)but has cheltenham form, great trainer whos very patient, great jockey and great owner.
he travels well but isnt afraid to put the head down and responds well to "encouragement".I backed him for the supreme novices so I am biased but Im hoping injury doesnt befall him and the ground isnt heavy at chelters-unlikely! |
By:
will be better on decent ground 25/1 is huge
By:
let's hope everything stays fit for this years arkle.
could be some race! |
By:
the 1st day is gonna be some day..if they all turn up fit & well......all we need now is something out of the woodwork to take on dunguib....(ex. doubtful i know)
