Awesome guys.
Yes! Great minds. Had my eyes on Azzura and Finn completely agree.
Ivanexile has been my other dog of note but hasn’t been seen for a while..
So next one on the list is Huttons Romeo Atomic. Usually have a bet on 4 on the outrights.. so just watching out for that 4th now.

A word on Towcester.
It’s a shame the place is met with such negativity. Ive been up there every year since it’s been on.
The location is great, away from the hustle and bustle of a city and the summers sun in the evening adds to the atmosphere of a great evening. Hopefully a smooth competition this year. I’ll be there finals night.

Tow is what it is ,the reluctance of Irish trainers to send dogs tells us it is not a Derby Track ,If the Irish are not Coming  , not worth Looking Past  Hutton Wallis or
Jannsen IMO Maybe John Mullins if he has anything Capable   , The only Dog outside that Circle is Too Young , But then again will be Nearly 3 next year , Will the Owners Take a Chance Bradys Bullet , Be very hard to Knock out ,Proper Greyhound , Again he has not been Round Tow ,so would have to see how trials went ,What date is the Final this  year  ?

If PH  is with Finn I would Imagine Mr Dowling is Coming ?

Derby needs to be Moved CP or Monmore Going forward ,that the Race is being ran in Broad daylight for The bookmakers , What difference does it really make how big the Crowd is ? you could get a few Thousand into either if you want an Atmosphere ,Most Greyhound Folks will not be attending and be watching on TV ,Having the race ran Round a Decent track is paramount , Notts trackwise was better than Towcester , Bar the Bizzare 3rd bend ,But again there Were trap issues ,Its no longer about the Sport,Certain people Got Behind Tow so that is what we have , Imagine a Derby being run a Track the Similar Track to the Old Coventry Track ,It isn't hard if you Try  ..

BUT NOT IN THIS SPORT ..

Half of all past Derby winners would have been beaten at Towcester and probably wouldn't have even bothered to go. The track is not fit for purpose and several of the tracks already mentioned by posters on this thread would be far better.

Come to think of it Coventry would have been ideal and it was a crying shame that the industry failed to support the venture.

When a man with such a high stature and immense reputation in the industry, as Pat Buckley is, declares that he could put together a team of up to 10 runners to bring over for the English Derby but decides not to because of where it is being run. I really don't think there's much anyone needs to add to that.

A pity the powers at be would rather listen to the gravy train passengers. Due to location of the other possible tracks, I feel a purpose built facility is required. The Coventry model would work well but it needs to offer more. A casino or ability to host events to have other revenue streams coming in. A pipe dream unfortunately, but the Derby at Towcester does nothing for the sport at all, including running it in broad daylight Cry

Saw the kennel visit at trainer Reggie Allder, who I must admit I wasn’t aware of, on YouTube. Proper dog man who looks to have a decent dog Tommys Boss. Hope he goes well for connections. I’d urge you to watch the video clip, would be a great story if he progressed

If the RP really wanted to give us dyed-in-the-wool enthusiasts and punters the nitty gritty of helpful information they could give us lists of bitches, Irish, multiple entries by kennel etc', in advance of the kick off.  Too much of an effort presumably.
