A travesty if Leah won, get a grip she would be the most popular winner (excluding betting). She has been magnificent all Derby, second every round to Sober Call, Laughil Duke, Sidarian Pearl (x2) and Rural Hawaii. All those led around. She has had tough heats he whole way through and qualified comfortably for the final.

I'm aware of her highly creditable record but if she cant win a race during the Derby, doesnt deserve to win the concluder, imo

you talk some utter sh1te, you'd be fkin creaming yourself if Ballymac Matt wins again and what has he done this Derby if you're saying a Leah win would be a travesty?

Matt won 1 round, his first round when his main dangers Priceless Brandy was a doubtful runner near up to race time and Coolavanny Wendy went wrong (and checked up at the gate in the straight). Yet you'll be lauding Matt a superstar and one of the greatest ever should he win.

Stop talking outta ya ass, it's a brilliant final and whoever wins it good luck to them

Only one bet for me in final at current odds - can anyone please explain to me how Escapism is 12/1. Yes he will need a little luck the next night but it would have been worse if he was drawn in 6 as Hawaii bolts right on leaving traps - I can easily see him getting a clear run and clocking 29.60 - that prob won't be good enough but who knows - 12/1??

Matt not done much this Derby but like Leah, enough to reach the final. Cant see his winning at all either and now the dust has settled, would even settle for Sonic at a not-too-great loss and happy to take on Leah as my worst result. Really think Hawaii got the race at his feet though and rooting for him

Yeah Artifice, I said coudnt understand 12/1 Escapism but you cant back them all. Oh, I have! Laugh

Woody fack off, i posted a while back about 25 dogs you'd backed (at that stage something like 12 of them 50s or under), two have made the final  Matt and Hawaii (Matt 25s and Hawaii no bigger when you decided to say you backed him) , you said you where all over Clares Rocket for the Derby, could not stop backing Droopys Roddick, Skywalker Rory then appeared as your big winner, now somehow the 6/4 fav for the final is only a small loser ??

Perhaps you can give me tips on staking as i know if i'd have got pretty much everything wrong like you have all Derby (ante post) i'd have done my fackin ballacks and be living on pot noodles for the next 6 months.

I don't agree the bottom has the race at his feet, Sonic has already shown he can back run him. I do think he is the biggest danger and 4s is big

PF, I lose on virtually everything but at various amounts, lose more on some than others. As it stands now, cashed out some Pearl at 14/1 and Hawaii at 16/1, £150 staked. Sonic returns £120. Had £11.54 at 11/2 Power to return £75 at one point. The rest on at 7/4 exchanges. Only really Leah causes big damage, returning only £75 (partly free bet). Derby from hell. Was banking on £250 Clares, or £200 Roddick, Rory. If they'd have remained, wouldn't have been having many other chasing bets

Maybe race at Hawaii's feet not the correct choice of words but feel he has much more of every chance than Sonic. Both at peak and think Hawaii can do better than last time they met

Splits:
3.37 Louise
3.35 Pearl
3.51 Escapism
3.37 Barkley
3.43 Gossip
3.52 Hawaii
3.42 Rocky
3.35 Sonic

Don't think he's got loads to worry about in the quarters but certainly new fav Sonic, might not always lead when he comes up against faster dogs early and not losing any sleep about not included in my team

Said Rocky's English Derby run more significant since Jaytee Jet and Droopys Roddick out and so it's proving. Glad I went in at the 16/1

Matt doesn't look like the Derby winner this year and think Rory needs to improve too for my antepost

Zhivago and Barkley just savers but might top up Gyp, putting him in the black

Good luck!

That was before the quarter final

Now you're on at 11/2

It makes no odds to me either way but how do you expect anybody to take you serious on here when you're posting one thing and then weeks later say you did the exact opposite

I'm a contradiction to myself sometimes. Can be quite fickle, see a price and change my mind. Sorry for any confusion, but sure many will be pleased I cant win now

£160 staked on Irish derby. Hawaii or Pearl return more than that

You see what i mean ??

I am sorry if you've got a red book, maybe you can win it back on Saturday's card but you are constantly contradicting yourself and it's a pain in the ass to read daily

You where right to do that with Pearl, you gave her way less chance on your prices than what you're laying at, Rural Hawaii though is utter madness, you seem to think he will win and by your last post should nearly be fav

According to my calculations, this is the god's honest truth. Cross my heart and hope to die, gospel

Total Stakes £155

Returns, of which this is 100% certain:
£75 Leah
£110 Pearl
£150 Matt
£120 Sonic
£125 Escape
£125 Hawaii

This means further bets:
1 £9.38 at 7/1 (returns £150)
2 £6 at 4/1 (£150)
3 X
4 £10.91 at 7/4 (£150)
5 £2.28 at 10/1 (£150)
6 £5 at 4/1 (£150)

Total stakes would then be £183.57 and I would have lost £33.57 on the Derby

The £150 would be certain returns. If youre still in doubt, maybe you would say I've staked more than £183.57, but I don't think so

PS Sorry PF, but seems I keep being forced to justify myself

PPS Agree not a clever way to go about things but Clares would have put me £67 in profit

Oh, £155 + £33.57 = £188.57, but you get the gist Blush

You all but said your a green book 1-2 weeks ago, nobody cares if you justify yourself or not Woody but when you're being forced to read how great your bets are daily when what's been posted on here suggests otherwise people get the hump, that is all. Anyway good luck for Saturday, I hope you get the deficit back and at least beak even.

Thanks. Yeah, like I said bad Derby betting-wise. Ended up covering everything at a loss. I couldn't afford to lose the all of the total stakes. With more luck Clares, Roddick, Rory and even Jet, it could have been a different story though

I like it and glad I'm going

Especially looking forward to the Bigmike/Quietly clash. Fine consolation and will be good watching Ballymac Bonnie, Toolmaker Scot and Water Fern in action. Surprised Lenson Rocky fit enough to take on Laughil Duke. Even the 600yds finale well worth waiting for Happy
