Top marks to igb. 3rd round with form been up on their site ages by looks of things
Well, sh*t or bust for me. Had to re-group and now Matt, Rory and Rocky running for profit. Figure now no Jaytee Jet or Droopys Roddick, Rocky's English Derby run more significant. Thought he might have struggled to get 550yds Shelbourne but staying on gamely and plenty quick enough. Don't want to go in at the short odds Laughil Duke at this stage. Fair few savers including Rural Hawaii (hitting form at the right time), Zhivago (could be fly in the ointment and Barkley but that needs to improve, pronto! The outsider for me now is 50/1 Swords Ace, each-way Good luck! |

So let me get this right, according to this thread you've backed:
Ballymac Matt 25s Tyrur Van Gaal 33s Lenson Sanchez 50s Slippery Fred 66s Droopys Roddick 14s Clares Rocket 12a Droopys Buick 33s Spoilsports Jet 66s (you seem to have forgot about this one) Spoilsports Duke 150s (ditto as with Jet) Blue Cafu 200s Country Legend 250s (as with Jet and Duke) Skywalker Rory (seems to have appeared as part of your team all of a sudden) Lenson Rocky (added now) Rural Hawaii (added now) Doctor Zhivago (added now) Roxholme Barkley (added now) Swords Ace 50s Seriously what the fack are you at ? |

Woody must be Birchy, there is no other conclusion

Coppers some. Like I said, only Matt, Rory or Rocky for profit and not that much either. Didn't back Duke or Legend in the end. Cafu was only 20p and B*yles Jet is only 30p ew but sometimes wouldn't turn my nose up at a score. When you say back, some are only cost cutting exercises. Just gives me an interest. Was banking on £250 payout Clares or £200 Roddick. Hopefully it'll all come out in the wash on the final
By:
Why not just back all the dogs in he final, you can Oi Oi to your hearts content and you may break level or at worst only lose a small percentage depending on how they bet
By:
Usually in Derbies most dogs are just covers. Usually have handful for decent payout
By:
I do it my way for interest over the month or so's duration. English Derby was close to spot on
By:
I might have 20p down the back of the settee
By:
Will you find a £20 note though?
By:
Okay fellas, I'll make a deal with you. I wont mention my early opening gambits to very small stakes in future. In future Derbies I'll put up a lot less dogs
By:
You can put up what you like, just seems mental to me and looks like you just want to say you backed the winner at X price and not care about your losses, you'll say you won no matter what
By:
Hope I do win but sometimes I don't. £70 staked so far. If I get the winner, see what the payout is
PS Not had a bet in the 2017 English Derby, yet! ![]() |

Good man, keep it that way until the announce a venue at least

Lol. Hopefully it will be Belle Vue!

Would be a mockery if Vue got Derby, though. Went this morning and word is they could lose the Laurels and Oaks with Timber backing out of sponsorship

I thought heat 6 a bit warm

Hard to get overly excited now for me but thought heat 7 tepid, also!

Woody throws more darts than the Army, Navy and Airforce darts teams combined, that's all units and the reserves. PS its not all about your multiple no lose bets Woody its about the Derby.

My old mate, Safari. Yeah, the Derby is the Derby. I'm still hooked and a high probability I'll still be going Dublin. Besides, I still owe PF a bottle in Slatts!

In a great position with Sonic PF cheers, whats your read at this stage? Doctor Zhivago @ 50s, 40s is all too big. He really impressed me last Thursday when not leading and I really like his draw Saturday night. With the breakdown of seeds (only 17 seeded runners) a lot of railers could start getting wide draws and we already know he handles that which is a massive plus. Skywalker Rory is again still too big @ 16s, he has had the toughest heat in both rounds and is still there, he should be 2nd favourite in my opinion. Sonic is way too short now, is only the price due to liabilities. I don't like his draw at all outside Slippery Thelma on Saturday, she goes up well but is definitely middle around the corner and does not run it the quickest so I can see (hope I am wrong) possible trouble for Sonic. |
By:
I would happily take 3rd place now for Sonic and move on
By:
PF, Sonic is new to me but imagine him to be like Laughil Duke, not always that well up and maybe at prime over slightly further. Is that about right?
By:
Doctor Zhivago has a tough HEAT [6] PF, i will be very happy if he makes the last 24.

Just taken a look at B*yles heat betting and if I could, think I'd be laying lots of favs at current odds, namely 5/4 Ballymac Matt (although I want him antepost), 5/4 Milldean Puma (think will get adrift again), 11/8 Cahir Castle (just think a bit over-rated) and 1/2 Sonic (too short coz might be in trouble at the bend). Thinking the plays might be 11/2 Coconut Corker (under the radar slightly), 4/1 Swords Ace (seems game enough to me), 8/1 Doctor Zhivago, each-way (outrun price) and same can be said of winning 12/1 each-way bet last time Notorious Ben, 8/1 this time with place prospects
Good luck! |
By:
I won't be Frank, I have not moved as fast in a long time as when I saw the 10s to win the heat, bloody massive price.
By:
Pf why rocky not trapping ?
By:
Frankly because I don't think he is that good a trapper, he ain't bad at boxes by any means but if we look at him and take away his Tralee runs, his first 3 runs down there he came away well in the unraced stake before missing it in the final, since then he went to Limerick and never flew the lids, went to Wimbledon which has different boxes and then Dundalk where again he wasn't banging out all be it against sprinters.
It's hardly a problem for him anyway, he would have led comfortably on Saturday had Highview Event not smashed out again and he is drawn between 2 slow starters Saturday night. |

Cheers

Fair play to Boyles;i put 50e on Jaytee jet and they gave me back the 50e as a free bet which i put on last years winner Ballymack matt at 10/1, having said that Boyles anti/post prices are not great, PS if you back a dog in the Derby[20e or more] you will get 2tickets for the derby with Boyles. Glad to hear you like Doctor Zhivago P.F. tough heat or not

RE igb site..Trainer Michael O’Donovan has given a positive report of his flying tracker Laughil Duke which is now the new 5-1 favourite with the sponsors for the **** Irish Derby.
The place was rampant with rumours prior to Thursday’s opening heat of the second round but the Tipperary Town trainer yesterday played down any worries about his fitness. O’Donovan admitted that Laughil Duke had s “small problem” after the first round but said that “He is okay now, I am happy enough with the dog. He is in good form and is a really genuine dog”. Duke is due to run from trap three on Saturday in Heat 6 where his rivals include Farloe Rumble, Doctor Zhivago and Rural Hawaii. |
