agree is exactly how i see it, think he will get headed early enough and then game on to get swamped, cafu is going beserk evch of the getting thru for me
643 463 look to it, IF we get the lead change |
By:
The last heat it's obvious what's plotted up but the way he ran the opening bends Saturday night would not fill me with confidence he will make full use of it, where the top goes from boxes is a huge worry for me, fingers crossed he walks out
By:
you think the ground was a bit railsy sat? jet did lose a few strides, or maybe 6 being in front and cutting over his nose wanted a better sighter
will Offshore ever go past? the only open he has won he led up ![]() if any silly prices 10s+ tho i gotta play him win and casts |
By:
I got to be honest Offshore Bound really shocked me Saturday gone, he was his usual rubbish away but he showed way more early than i thought he possessed, so much so that he ended up the arse of Tyrur Tommy and Sidarian Vega (yes they bumped) between the opening bends causing him to have to check up and lose all momentum on the 2nd, i do then feel he had a think about things while running the 3rd while having Ballydoyle Honey on his outside and then he definitely thought about it in the straight when coming up to Sidarian Vega, thankfully he did no wrong.
Will he go past? It's debatable but we gotta live in hope finishing in the first 3 next two runs is the most important thing though |
By:
lol it is, but yes watched all his vids and that last run very interesting like you mention, the worry could be he gets to Tommy too early, he will likely stop and chase his tail ffs!!!

By:
i think the only was he doesn't qualify is if he does hit the front too early, he really does down tools something silly for a top class dog
By:
He really does, has a little SPK fan club now anyway (not surprisingly we're all on e/w
) and then the rest who want him out as soon as possible with the possibility he could ruin the final if getting there |
By:
i know where i'll be standing finals night then haha

A very interesting chat between the 2 of you lads, as a person who never owned greyhounds i was wondering if there is anyway Owen can do something about Offshore's bad habits, i backed him e/way at 66/1 as well.
By:
No there nothing he can do. I can not understand why he is not banned, somebody be it the racing manager or one of the stewards needs to grow a pair and ban him forthwith its bringing the sport in to disrepute
By:
once a screw always a screw, although some dogs can get more/less screwy with age + racing imo
By:
nothing can be done for him imo, IF this had been in the UK maybe sending him to Ire could straighten him out, many screws over the years have gone over and taken to the lifestyle better half straightened out.
every dog has their day and the right make up he will get there on the line but wont happen often so has to be factored in the price, a text book oppose when short have onside when big type one thing have seen with these mad screwers time and time again tho is they seem to perform well when something other than normal conditions get factored in example big noisey crowds or horrendous weather/going, daylight as opposed to floodlights can perk them up also etc even romford car two led up derby final night got on with it exhibit A! the only time broke even in a Dublin trip lol hereyesareblue 16/1, strong running raving stow screwer goes over to Ireland leads up the 6 bend racegoing away head down(had my future wife with me she was quite impressed by my nap ;) ), saw a dodge graded bitch win one of its only ever races by about 10 lengths no trouble on a boxing day morning round Pompey dogs one yea,r the roar must have kept her stimulated? shame those crowds were only once a year, tip of the iceberg but some of my most memorable that have stuck with me nothing in this sport is an exact science, why it surprises me so many people talk with such black and white terminology like "certainty"'"penalty kicks"" blah blah, oh well shouldn't moan i need them around to pay for my lifestyle, so welcome ;) |

I had a share in a very good horse, one day in a race as he was about to pass a horse he turned his head to bite him, we then ran him in a net muzzle. He did the same thing in his next race the stewards told us we could not run him again, the point been the same thing should happen to this dog regardless of who trains him, i have no doubt if the trainer was some unknown the dog would be banned .By the way the trainer of the horse was M V O BRIEN
By:
I don't think the Offshore Bound incident in round 2 is as clear cut as some people think but i still would have suspended him. I am not 100% sure he actually fought with Lemon Miley (i think he did), i would say he did however intentionally impede Lemon Miley thus causing Lemon Miley finishing in front of Amazing Dude and thus not winning the race. I can kind of see why the steward on the night made the decision in that he can make a case that he is going rails and his head ain't totally turned left but as i said i would have suspended and also as said above had he been owner trained or with a smaller trainer he more than likely would have been punished.

Anybody that knows anything about dogs should be able to see it is only a matter of time before this dog fights, as i said some body needs to grow a pair its their job. Then they wonder why the game is not in a good place its about credibitily

Nobody will be surprised when he finally does get disqualified (well they should not be).

Even each-way wouldnt be backing them coz not my type of dog, but think 20/1 Priceless Lassie and 12/1 Paradise Maverik a bit big. One i would be interested in is 5/1 Peregrine Falcon!

Oh, had my biggest bet of the year 2/1 Tyrur Van Gaal in the Plate. Just looks different class to me. The each-way pick 25/1 Deanridge Pennys
Good luck! |

Going away next Tuesday though, so obviously cant go Owlerton does your plane have wifi woody or have you landed in skegness by now? ![]() ![]() ![]() |

dog breaks track record, Woody then decides he is different class despite all the value gone out of the price, has this ever happened before?? Yes Paradise Madison (National Puppy Stake) and Milldean Panther (Gold Cup) - result, well you can guess

Van Gaal produced a truly stunning run last week but it should be remembered his main danger Slippery Fred was a non runner. Then you look at the comp, 19 railers, 3 middles and 2 wides. Some of those seeded runners will be lucky to see next weekend so there is a huge prospect of him getting a wide draw (5 or 6). You also have Laughil Duke in here who if he was to get a better draw come final time than Van Gall and turned in front of him I seriously doubt Van Gaal would be back running him, it's one thing doing the clock on the bunny (a solo) another thing when he has top class dogs in front of him not stopping.

*huge = decent* line 2

Dont think main danger Duke will go with him and will be happy cheering Gaal home at 4/7 final night!

I am lay in bed here and crunched a few numbers, so Woody you basically have:
6/4 Blue Cafu Evens Fair Taxes 10/11 Gaytime Hawk 4/6 Ballmac Matt 4/6 Peregrine Falcon To the money you invested ?? Surely it would be better to just pick a dog to cheer on and not bother betting ? No bets for me on the heats tonight, ain't enough juice in the prices I have seen so far and ain't home to look at what's gone up, think there are some bets in the Plate but I won't include them in this thread, on the heats I am -19.75pts, terrible to be honest |
By:
did anyone get the 7\1 ballymac matt with coral this morning, together with the rest of their c0ck ups
By:
Thanks PF. Dont mind having those odds considering total invested. Once i get the 6 finalists, i can always tweek the bets making one or two very good winners and maybe some at slight loss. Just gives me an interest throughout. Find it easier just getting dogs through rather than finding heat winners?
By:
Hills musnt like birds of prey going biggest 7/1 Gaytime Hawk and 9/2 Peregrine Falcon, so not going to look a gift horse in the mouth, backed them both at the odds and thrown in the 43/1 double, just for good measure
By:
As long as you are not gay Woody
PF is questioning your portfolio? |
By:
Think the point PF is trying to make is why spread the stake over so many dogs. I just edge my bets!
