Tough draw with the early inside him and Highview Apollo going rails from 4, you'd hope Blitz will blast away (and even Matt) and he gets a clear up and turns 3rd and from there he should qualify. Peregrine Falcon has a desperate tough draw and with everything surrounding Ballymac Matt (I thought something happened him on the 2nd last week) they are not certainty's to go through, if I was on him I would probably rather he was switched boxes with Shutthebackdoor but even then he'd have the problem of having to outtrap Peregrine Falcon or he would take a bang

Aye Fatty, had a few bites at the cherry. Might have been healthier if Laughil Blake and Sidarian Blaze had run. Hoping for a no-lose scenario but semis look tricky not having any form of cover Farloe Blitz yet. Waiting for Saturday morning when Power sometimes push a couple of high-ranking dogs out in the betting for a short while

Thanks for your thoughts premier...
Pretty much what I have been thinking. I am on, with a friend, at a nice price EW so if he makes it to the final we would be delighted. When I first saw the draw I was gutted but having thought about it more I am a little more optimistic. I expect Blitz to lead everything and am hoping he cuts in to Matt approaching the first bend. If Don can get a flier I would hope he#ll turn in second and then fingers crossed! Might be very wishful thinking, but like you I think poor Falcon has a horrible draw and that might just help Don's cause. |

I think paddy power have made the best job of pricing up the semi finals tonight myself.
The second semi does not really interest me as a betting proposition, nothing there for me to get excited about. I do think that Farloe Blitz should be favourite and 11/8 is pretty much the right price, my only worry is the first 10 or so yards if Ballymac Matt smashes the gates down. Ballymac Matt 15/8 Farloe Blitz 6/4 Save The Don 10 Highview Apollo 33 Shutthebackdoor 40 Peregrine Falcon 8 100% The first semi final is the one that really interests me. I thought the initial 2/1 on Gaytime Hawk was on the short side and could not believe when i then saw him a 6/4 shot. Yes he appears to be well drawn and he ran a blinder last week but i thought the start of that race was messy and then i felt Tyrur Tommy showed better pace up and better pace 2 to 3 than the winner, Gaytime Hawk then pulled away up the straight. Going out on a limb here it would not surprise me to see him not qualifing especially if Blue Cafu can fly the lids. The dog i really like in this is Cable Bay, i really like his draw in 5 and actually feel he is better draw middle / middle to wide than drawn inside where he ends up moving off. Tyrur Tommy in 4 will be moving rails and Jaytee Jet is very wide so Cable Bay should get a good run up. I was as surprised as anyone he didn't win from where he was down the back last week but the time was still there and Peregrine Falcon i not easy to back run. If we go back to round 3 the previous week Cable Bay gave Gaytime Hawk a right head start and ran him to 1/2L so even if Gaytime Hawk does get it right at boxes and go around the bet is not totally dead once Cable Bay can turn in a pitch. Of the others again Jaytee Jet is absolutely plotted up but to be honest i cannot think of much more to recommend him, even allowing for the great draw he is going to have to find a lot more to win. Farloe Rumble should be the outsider of the field for me, i keep hearing if he traps but bar one time in a trial when he did a 3:30sec he has never come away and i cannot see how he lead and i don't see what he can back run either. I actually think Blue Cafu is too big at double figures on leadability claims alone, he was unlucky last week in that he done a 3:39sec and still had a dog almost 2L up passing the stands, if he can trap like that again he can go around and then he has a chance. Gaytime Hawk 10/3 Farloe Rumble 14 Blue Cafu 13/2 Tyrur Tommy 9/2 Cable Bay 3 Jaytee Jet 6 100% 5pts win Cable Bay @ 9/2 1pts win Blue Cafu @ 10/1 would really appreciate Blue Cafu qualifing for the final tonight as well ![]() |

Gaytime Hawk always led. Farloe Rumble and Tyrur Tommy came to challenge third bend but door closed. Rumble and Cable Bay through

|
By:
Farloe Blitz always led, Ballymac Matt always second ran on, Peregrine soon third and that's the way it stayed

1 Blitz
2 Cable 3 Matt 4 Peregrine 5 Gaytime 6 Rumble |

Think youre right Winja, not sure i can make a guaranteed profit
As it stands: Peregrine returns £175 Gaytime £147 Matt £133 Blitz £60 Rumble 0.00 Cable 0.00 Total stakes on these days, dogs eliminated and non participants £91 Will have to juggle things about so I've no chance of losing the lot, keeping a couple as winners |

The Ballroom Blitz one Manchester. Had a snifter or two at the Leger and fell asleep before the semi's then couldn't coordinate what brain cells were left working.

No I was in big boy trousers last night
I am surprised Blitz is not a lot shorter to be honest, wonder is it down to what happened at Wimbledon |
|

whens the draw or has it been done?

By:
1 FARLOE BLITZ
2 CABLE BAY 3 BALLYMAC MATT 4 PEREGRINE FALCON 5 GAYTIME HAWK 6 FARLOE RUMBLE |
|
By:
Will trap out carnage behind and ding dong. I think will go off nearer 5/4.
|
|
By:
Bad angle. Cable Bay looked much more than a length behind second placed Farloe Rumble, who clocked a time similar to Farloe Blitz and Ballymac Matt. Can only win on Peregrine now. Slight profit Gaytime, no harm done Matt, £15 loss Blitz but the other pair not very good, lose £35
|
|
By:
Farloe Blitz starting and keeping going better now since a close third behind Gaytime Hawk and Cable Bay in the third round. Going to have to get clear as he often does but something could come and loom large in his wing mirrors

I know a couple of dogs dont make a meeting but hope Ballydoyle Honey and Tyrur Van Gaal run. Might be a slightly below par Derby card otherwise. Hoping another one or two run too, so might end up being good. Fingers crossed for results like last year, although i never made it in the end

Ballydoyle Honey has declined an invitation to run in the €4.5k Open Bitch Stake at Curraheen Park and is an intended runner at Shelbourne on Derby Final night. I believe she has been promised a draw nearer the rails (only joking - honestly). ![]() Irishone How much is it just for entrance? |
