"£2 on this fav and £2 on the 2nd fav after backing 5 dogs outright." Only had Peregrine at Limerick, which wasn't away in best style and I found a bit disappointing

By:
Why don't Power and B*yles bet on big meetings like Limerick's anyway?
Anyway, more disappointed now. Just remembered had Peregrine each-way at 16/1 four places, but 5th ![]() Good job I had a good Breeders Cup ![]() |

Comerford Cakes 525. 12/1 Toolmaker Scot will do for me
|
|
By:
Although only third last night, think Jaytee Dutch could be the one now. Thought Razldazl Rince did well, but shame Jo Jo Fantasy couldn't run like that Night Of Stars

guess guess guess .... rambling on about feck all day after day week after week....ignorance is bliss

wanted to back Rackethall Ruler for the Puppy Stake but thought he was too short for an unraced dog before round 1, finishes 4th and now he is joint fav in 2 lists
I guess everybody knows then |

Christmas Oaks. Didn't like the 5/2 Ballydoyle Honey but 3/1 okay enough to tempt me, seeing as she's very hard to beat against her own s*x. Could have given chances to Sidarian Nell, Yahoo Perlena and Urban Gossip but playing it safe. The price will look good when Honey's 8/13 for the final!
![]() Still got Toolmaker Scot in the Comerford but added 8/1 Jaytee Dutch Good luck! |
|
By:
Ballydoyle Honey inexplicably checked when well behind anyway, lost impetus and minor miracle she got up. Yahoo Perlena disappointing here. Thought Skywalker Pearl did particularly well when winning one of the other heats
Glad added Jaytee Dutch in the Comerford, impressive winner last night and reckon the 8/1 will be slashed now. Got Toolmaker Scot through too, fast but not getting home |
|
By:
Cant see any betting for Harolds Cross Marathon and Gold Collar or Kingdom Derby, Tralee. All first round heats take place tonight
![]() |
|
By:
Shame no betting on the Kingdom Derby with Quietly looking to have a very strong stranglehold on the competition, imo. Laughil Bolt took a crashing fall and Amazing Dude ran into the back of dogs as he tends to do last night
Harolds Cross marathon shaping up well with Tradition and Ballymac Bonnie still going strongly. Vulturi and Ribble Atom still in there pitching, too |
|
By:
Christmas Oaks. Ballydoyle Honey nowhere near her sub 28secs but still very hard to knock out against other bitches. Still maintain my 5/2 will look very good come the final
Seems like the Comerford has been going on forever. Still got Toolmaker Scot going but think needing a slice of luck here |
|
By:
4/9 Ballydoyle Honey. Checked and I actually got 3/1 with Sportsbook, looking good now. I did actually say 8/13 for the final!
![]() |
|
By:
Was hopeful with Toolmaker Scot at the start of the Comerford 525 but current 10/1 reflects the blue dog's done well to reach the final really. Needs luck, a flier and trouble behind. Top two in the betting will be hard to beat

really like Proud Graham in the Juvenile Final tonight and 9/4 / 2/1 is too big. The dog has shown barely believable early and middle the last 2 weeks and while this is the widest he has been drawn the way he has gone run up in his previous races doesn't suggest it will be too much of a problem, last week he didn't smash out (as the week before) but absolutely destroyed Toolmaker Scot and Black Adler to the corner and they both have lovely early, he then dismantled them 2 to 3, the dog just seems to have exceptional raw pace. Once he traps level tonight with those 2 who are drawn either side of him he will lead 2-3L at the corner and then open up a big advantage down the back. The main danger is clearly Farloe Joey but he wants to go rails and has a job getting across Anopheles and Creamery Bale who will move off the fence. Perhaps Joey's best chance would be missing it and hoping Creamery Bale moves off the fence nearing the corner and he can sneak around the rail, he is the only one who can possibly back run Proud Graham but he would need to be turning 2nd, of the bigger prices Creamery Bale is probably the one with the best chance on the draw but he needs to smash out and go around.
in the bitches final 1/2 about Honey is a fair price as once she holds Urban Gossip on her outside which she should she gets first crack and should win easily, the top for me Hovex Princess (the bitch Honey caught on line of Oaks final) is the best alternative, she came right back to form last week and would be the one for me to bet w/o, double figures is too big as well |
|
By:
Yahoo Perlena likes the red sheet and could put in a big run tonight, trouble is Ballydoyle Honey back runs these top bitches as if there short runners.
|
|
By:
Obviously, rooting for Honey and Toolmaker in the big two finals. Earlier on the card, fancy Coran Sky and Sidarian Nell
Good luck! |
|
By:
Traps failed to open correctly in the Oaks. Re-run January 2nd. Little mentioned Black Alder won the Comerford
|
|
By:
Apologies I had it in my mind that Yahoo Perlena had drawn trap 1
|
|
By:
They used to make a fuss of the Joe Dunne but no interest this year, although English and Irish Derby favourite Droopys Roddick competing. Knowing the Shelbourne bookies, sure you wont be seeing the 1/2 tissue. Couple of good races elsewhere on the card like Slippery Snowy versus Barefoot Artist and Slippery Fred against Skywalker Pearl and Jaytee Dutch
|
|
By:
Gold Cup, Shelbourne
Wide open 8/1 the field but think the pair I narrowly favour are 8/1 Slippery Fred (can do it both ways) and 10/1 Lenson Sanchez (come back well and hard to peg back when leading.) Only problem, same first heat. Jaytee Dutch smart when ready but not quite 100% and in my book. Same about Rural Hawaii in the final heat. Fair Taxes versus Tarsna Havana should be a good race in the third heat and wouldn't totally rule out Proud Graham either. Skywalker Pearl not at best first round but could be good enough to qualify from heat two Good luck! |
|
By:
Said 8/1 Slippery Fred and he's your 7/4 favourite for the final now, but not sure why Lenson Sanchez never took part in the semis?
|
|
By:
The draw was always going to play a major part in this comp with all the early pace in it and it really has for the final.
Slippery Fred for me is absolutely plotted up. Jaytee Dutch on his outside has not being going to the corner well and has been crawling on the corners, (middle, middle to wide). Proud Graham in 3 has Sidarian Vega outside him who will go straight left at boxes, both have difficult draws. Henno's in 5 does not have a prayer for me and Fair Taxes in 6 cannot lead and on the evidence of round 1 when he turned 2nd to Slippery Fred cannot back run him either, his draw ain't bad however and he has been showing incredible pace from the 2nd bend. The biggest danger to Fred probably is Proud Graham or Sidarian Vega taking an unreal flier but even then they're not guaranteed to lead Slippery Fred around the corner. I think Slippery Fred is too big and expect him to go off around evens, i have had a good go @ 7/4 & 6/4. Slippery Fred 5/4 Jaytee Dutch 25 Proud Graham 6 Sidarian Vega 5 Painstown Chief 100 Fair Taxes 4 100% If Slippery Fred does win tomorrow night his dam Steamy Windows will have thrown Slippery Robert (Derby winner), Slippery Bob (Gold Cup winner) and Slippery Fred (Gold Cup winner?) out of 4 litters, some dam. |

By:
1euro Jaytee Dutch, each-way, please
![]() |
|
By:
Oi oi 8/1 Slippery Fred and Jaytee Dutch didn't run like a 25/1 chance!
![]() Elsewhere, Lenson Panda very impressive and good runs from Jaytee Jet and Ballyhooley Henry Would have said fastest heat winner Quietly in Cork's Supersprint but didn't see any betting |
|
By:
Jaytee Dutch on his outside has not being going to the corner well and has been crawling on the corners, (middle, middle to wide).
ok he blew the gates down lat night but pretty much what i said is the rason Slippery Fred won so i would not be having sly digs, somebody who actually knows what he is talking about gave ya a proper read of a race, and as for me prices, ffs we go over this ever time, you price every race to 100% and lay me and i will tear you asunder |
|
By:
PMSL
why would you bother ? resident pest ! not worth a lamb shank |
|
By:
Not well done with Slippery Fred?
And if Betfair had bet on the race to very nearly 100%, I can guarantee you wouldn't have been seeing 25/1 Dutch, so not sure where that leaves your accurate betting guide! |
|
By:
Woody with all due respect, fack off
|
|
By:
Slippery Fred obviously had a plum draw on the fence, but i Can't get my head around the winning time fred had a clear run and thought the time would of been quicker!
Well done Slippery Fred |
|
By:
Agreed thought the time was puzzling as well, granted he didn't come away but he got a complete solo and only clocked .62, there are excuses for the rest of them as they all got (some caused) some trouble.
Onto the Easter Cup now and with Ladcrokes sponsoring it they'll surely go up first ante post and price the heats as well, that should be very interesting |
|
By:
Laddies not bothered so far with Easter Cup and B*yles go bigger than Power 5 of the top 6 in the betting!
|
|
By:
All eyes will be on super-bitch Ballydoyle Honey but she's not been at her brilliant best against top class dogs, as seen in last year's Derby, so looked elsewhere. Could have given Lenson Sanchez a big chance but still not entirely sure why he was withdrawn from his semi last time, a competition Slippery Fred went on to win but again, looking elsewhere. Played Laughil Duke. Did the job for me Derby final night and if he keeps getting red, will be a fraction of his current 10/1 come the final. Very much like the Leave At Dawn dog too and 14/1 looks fine to me. If you want a big outsider each-way, 25/1 Slippery Snowy fits the bill
Think Sidarian Vega will struggle to get home, Ballyhooley Henry find some too sharp and Peregrine Falcon/Rural Hawaii may need more time Quality open look and you would have to give chances to Jaytee Jet and Skywalker Rory, too Good luck! |
|

newcastle a fair track ? if only

Juvenile Classic - Tralee
Think Lenson Rocky a tad too short, so considered 4/1 Double Oh Seven and 5/1 Silverhill Pat. In all honesty, don't think there is a great deal between them but the pin fell on Pat Still cant see any betting for Cork Supersprint Good luck! |
|
By:
Would be nice if you could get more than two bob on ante post. Booked up to go to this years Irish Derby and tried to have a few ante post wagers and cant get on. The sportsbook on here is not worth a bolt.
|
|
By:
ask Woody, he wins and still gets on, gets BOG, gets paid on price taken when non runners in race, gets paid on obvious palps
![]() the market ain't worth anything these days until the summer anyway bookie |
|
By:
Pity nobody has priced up Tralee tonight, thought the draws on the evidence of the first 2 rounds could make it tough for both favourites.
Lenson Rocky has Coolavanny Brian on his outside in 2 who has looked mad for the rails, Rocky may well be gone and avoid him but at likely very short odds i thought Nice Manner could put it right up to him, if the top 2 did come together all Nice Manner would have to do is clear 3 Ramble Inn which he should easily and he should easily hold those outside him to the corner and then it would be game on. In the seconds semi final the top 2 look drawn very wrong, Silverhill Pat from 3 moved straight right at boxes and has looked middle run up where as Tynwald Baz has looked bang rails. Ecapism in 3 has Mobile Tracker outside in 4 who looks bang rails as well, Double Oh Seven (showed incredible pace last week) in 5 looks like he will also edge inwards but nowhere near as drastically as Mobile Tracker so the draw would appear decent for him. However in 6 i Tammen Twister who has come away running both nights, he has been wide run up but really cut the bend last week and if managing to hold the lead into the opening corner could possibly nick the race at that point. Whatever way you looks at it there are some serious dogs in this comp, Lenson Rocky, Nice Manner, Escapism and Double Oh Seven will surely be challenging for the big prizes later in the year and if Silverhill Pat can get stronger he could well be too. |

Nobody going to price up the Easter Cup heats then? The sponsors not even bothering their arse?
