Tyrur Arthur never went to traps for the Longford Derby final last night. Really is beyond a joke now

By:
the dog was injured in training and it was reported two days ago to the IGB .... FACT
|
|
By:
he done his shoulder in the semi final didn't he? would have needed a miracle to have been able to run
|
|
By:
and irishone is right, it should have been put up on talkingdogs immediately when reported
(just seen your post now, done it at home then) |

Seems B*ylesports Hero, Paradise Madison and Mind The Net in line for Dundalk International. Aero Nemesis has been mentioned, too
|
|
By:
Dundalk field finalised but think there's a mistake on Talking Dogs. Michael Fortune says Sidarian Blitz inside the clock in a trial Saturday but that dog was second at Shelbourne last night. Does he mean Sidarian Blaze?
|
|
By:
The big news from Saturday’s trials was the sizzling 28.01 run produced by Sidarian Blaze for the 525 yards, a time which is 30 spots inside the 525 yards track record.

Think they've corrected it. Blitz still showing as a runner in their final six

International?? as per usual International my bollox
about time they changed the name and didn't bother wasting their time inviting English trained runners, they clearly have no interest looks pretty average anyway this year. Metro Jack done sweet f all in Ireland to be in it, Attiboy won the Northern Irish Derby at Drumbo enough said (barely gets sighted around Shelbourne), Mind The Net has hardly done loads over here either but his Scottish and English Derby campaigns are enough to get him in, Paradise Madison has looked a cripple for ages yet is in it and then we have Sidarian Blaze and **** Hero who both deserve to be there but both are more 525y dogs than 550y |
|
By:
1. Metro Jack 10/1
2. Attiboy 25/1 3. Sidarian Blaze 7/4 4. Paradise Madison 6/1 5. **** Hero (m) 9/4 6. Mind The Net (w) 4/1 i literally have no idea what to make of this race, i am not convinced Sidarian Blaze or Spoilsports Hero are proper 550y dogs, Spoilsports Hero especially and neither are brilliantly consistent at boxes and with the short run to the corner that could pose a problem as if they don't lead they will struggle (even in this field which i don't think is great), of the others even if Mind The Net did smash he will have Spoilsports Hero flying up inside him which will surely pose a problem for him, Paradise Madison's price will tempt plenty in here and it is big enough (massive if he is right) but the last time he ran around here behind Fifo he just did not look right, Attiboy needs to smash and even then i just will be shocked if he won here, perhaps Metro Jack is the bet as he has a nice draw but he has never been around but maybe that's factored into the price |
|
By:
Ain't this race won by the first bend
Anyway ? Blaze hero staying powers going to be asked many questions here? who ever leads wins on the draw blaze edges it for me ! But at 7/4 your not going to be able to dine at the captain table to many nights on the trot! Last English winner was blonde dino 2008 ?? |

Hoping B*ylesports comes away, pulls out extra to the home straight and plugs on. Agree, 550yds will test him but has the speed to burn off most greyhounds. Blaze cant come from behind, imo and Netty not sure to go with them. Even more so Madison, who ideally needs further
|
|
By:
Sidarian Blaze has back ran **** Hero before over 525y, coming from well being and in the National Puppy Stake pulled away from him up the straight, at their prices Sidarian Blaze is much better value imo. Not really sure why you think Madison needs further Woody, you ain't the only one either but bar winning some egg and spoon event over 575y all his form is over 525y and 550y, 550y is his perfect trip if you ask me, dog is just never right
|
|
By:
Hero has improved tremendously since Blaze beat him last December, been drawing away in some races since (odd finished well comment) and I've seen him full of running at three-quarters in one video clip, so extra 25yds could be okay if he don't fall into a fall (doubt it.) Just feel Madison needs a stiffer test nowadays and will find things happening a bit too quickly for him against fast 550yds dogs. If handy though, would be a factor but doubt it again

Tipperary Cup 525yds, Thurles. Ignoring the obvious with Barefoot Agent (may come a shade too late), Midtown Raffa (chances if reproducing Produce form) and Star Ace (decent but a bit more consistency wouldn't go amiss), gone with 16/1 Torpeys Ace (fast) and 20/1 Kilgraney Bolt (useful on his day), both each-way. Would have given All About Ya a chance but T5 in his heat not good, always thought he wanted much nearer the rails in England. I was at Wimbledon Derby quarter-final night when Tynwald Bish blasted from the boxes, clear and wasnt for catching to beat Droopys Jarrow (28.17, whoosh) but preferring the others at the prices. Just a quick mention for the big 33/1 outsider Dannys Zebo, who could do better than a lot of people expect
Good luck! |

gotta love the Dundalk International preview on talkingdogs, quality analysis like this: Peter Cronin’s Metro Jack has the ideal inside draw and he ran so well in both the Scottish and Irish Derbys. Surely, he is not a 10-1 chance from that draw. but of course ends up with the predictable this: As we said at the start it is a race of many possibilities. However we are siding with a victory for Sidarian Blaze to win from **** Hero and Mind The Net.

More Metro Jack beats **** Hero in a thriller in Dundalk International |

perhaps Metro Jack is the bet as he has a nice draw
perhaps i should have backed it ffs |

Video not loaded yet but looking at the result, maybe 550yds Shelbourne not great worry for B*ylesports Hero?

Found it, ta. Was putting a hyphen instead of an underscore!
. B*ylesports Hero slowly away but wouldn't give up home straight, so not unduly concerned about 550yds Shelbourne ![]() |

9/4 Cant Catch Patch pour moi

Semis of the Tipperary Cup postponed til this Saturday coz of torrential rain. My 3 still in there pitching with main bet Torpeys Ace now virtually 4/1 cf of 3 from 16/1, each-way

Bulmers are taking over Galway Greyhound Stadium for Race Week 2014. 4 nights of racing plus "pop-up bars" and a Bulmers Garden.
Bulmers are also running busses from Ballybrit to The Stadium on Friday 1st August .... great bit of promotion |

Harolds Cross Puppy Oaks looks as wide open a contest as youre ever likely to behold.
Still went through it and come up with 25/1 Garryglass Lulu. Two others I wouldn't put you off are 12/1 apiece Young Legends and Leamaneigh Mags Good luck, we will be needing it! |

Tipperary Cup semis. Torpeys Ace ruined hopes at the start but my Kilgraney Bolt did very well to qualify. Also got Dannys Zebo in the final

Got 25/1 Garryglass Lulu (each-way), now 4/1, in the Harolds Cross Puppy Oaks tonight. Newinn Expert looks hard to beat after flying round in semis but in an earlier round, only just held on from Colorado Josie. That's 7/1 so might not be as clear cut as many would imagine, with mine capable of a flying start, too
|
|
By:
Turn up. Odds-on fav beaten with Monleek Empire winning. Didn't even get the place money, Lulu

Sorry to intervene in your thread here Woody , but I hope you are still up on the year

Giving Garryglass Lulu another chance of the place money in Waterford's Munster Oaks, at 16/1. Another finalist in the Puppy Oaks at Harolds Cross, Newinn Expert can start better than the first round and fair at 8/1
Good luck! |
