yeah still looks very babyish to me, there is definitely something there though and the more experience he gets of SPK b4 the Derby the better for those who have backed him, i ain't given up hope anyway of getting a decent run out of him in the comp but on the other hand i would not be recommending anybody rush out and back him at his current price
i see Stan James the useless waste of space are making the usual holy show of themselves again today in cutting Cuil Cool from 66s to 40s yet they leave Innameovhoff unchanged at 50s absolute clowns of the highest order |

don't think he wants to play the market (says that every year though) and i would imagine a fair chunk of what i took off Slippery Robert was off him last year
already got 150 @ 66s with billies, a few quid more going on in doubles and got more on in shops today with ladcrokes @ 40s i am happy enough for the time being with that for the time being |

Tyrur Supermac - won well the last 2 weeks, you price him up after he won the other week but after he wins again he now is not quoted????
Con Te Partiro - again same story as Tyrur Supermac, are you lot having a fkin laugh or what?? Vimmerby - yep the same as the 2 above, had him priced now no longer do?? Droopys Rafael - come on ffs, some of the ones priced up couldn't win if they started today, this lad is going with a chance ffs and more, price them up Spoilsports ffs, after all you are the bloody Derby sponsor and ya can remove the lies of Ballymac Eske, perhaps just for a few weeks you could act in a professional manner |

who is backing Redwood Mick and Greenwell Hulk today???

National cut everything day!

|
By:
how on earth have spoilsports cut Droopys Nidge on the back of last night??
ok some have been creaming themselves over him but last night showed (exposed imo) how good he is from 2 to 3, Supermac was giving him a lesson into the 3rd bend until Con Te Partiro ruined him on the 3rd, he was poxed to win and for me anyway what he has 2 to 3 is a monster worry (do the clocks) |

lol pf.
lots of things go against the irish derby for me: ...betfair dont put the market up early enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ...so no interest throughout the yr keeping on top of things as other major comps happen. ...dog + supplement = winner??? ...and until certain connections of dogs are properly punished with the offending dogs banned from the sport, it will continue to be a joke. ...if forum members are anything to go by then most of the irish must also be cants and they wont be having any more off me. (and im WAY WAY INFRONT -so far infront not even google maps could find me. ![]() ...im an even worse irish derby pharmaceutical judge. ...and every year i go away last week aug / first week sep. Hence why i say i intend to not price up. This year im away 20 aug - 3rd sep so right in the middle of the comp. its just not fun... sitting in all day, checking bets, via various methods in a betfair restricted area, when the kids wanna throw you in the pool or the mrs wants to get ready to go out... to be stuck in monitoring the book, preying for some results or getting 1p matched or topped by 1.99's and then if you win???? to have 20% taken back off ya... its more betfair, im fed up with woody. so no irish derby, learnt the hard way (pf probably took some 100/120 last yr i think after a few withdrawals of top dogs? haha and no u.s ladies open tennis this year either... proper brake this time around. Might back one or two...but will wait for you're annual write up first. Woody...basically broke level on english derby but because of premium charge and the way i sometimes bet / trade / arb... i was left with a frustrating premium charge bill for a yrs market and taking over 110k worth of bets ![]() ![]() very close to ending my betfair life (has taken longer than i thought these last few months but getting down to a few months now)...so not doing a english derby either next yr. i did give betfair a list of about 60 dogs to add but they didnt so iv peeved off and taken out my 15k english derby set aside funds to help purchase the next house. Has anyone noticed if any additional dogs other than the initial 27 have been added to the english derby market this year? i wouldnt have thought so. If 320 were added last yr, id be quite surprised if i hadn't sent emails for 250. |

took the 50s Tyrur Supermac today, as I have said before I am slightly worried he has had a lot of racing recently but the price is plain wrong, Nidge as short as 8s and Supermac as big as 50s, you'd swear they didn't watch last Saturdays race, dog is improving rapidly and beginning to live up to the reputation
Redwood Mick @ 66s + 40s Greenwell Hulk @ 50s + some doubles going on at 20s Ardfert Tee Jay @ 66s Tyrur Supermac @ 66s I would imagine that'll be my lot |
|
By:
I mean he will have had a lot of racing if he was to go all the way, has ran the last 4 weeks and is in the Champion Stakes as well

pf would 19.01 be a decent comeback trial by vulturi last night?
|
|
By:
i would say it's an excellent comeback run, he would only be getting going after the 350y's anyway
|
|
By:
had more on Supermac today @ 33s, was painful having to take that knowing those 5 pence merchants (actually no pence would be more apt) stan james where going 50s but hey ho i think 33s is still a spot of value, just needs to come away a bit better but he is excellent to the 3rd

Portfolio looking like:
20/1 Droopys Nidge 40/1 B*ylesports Hero 33/1 Vans Viking 33/1 Kereight King Looked at a few others 66/1 Sugar Ray, 150/1 Borneo and 350/1 Exocet. What dya make of those, PF? |
|
By:
would be a bit worried about vans taking part if he keeps going at dundalk
|
|
By:
I don't fancy any of them really Woody, you could get a decent run from Sugar Ray @ 66s (be great to see him go all the way again), the other 2 i just cannot have at all myself
Droopys Nidge at the prices could be a brilliant trade, gets an easy first round heat or one with little early inside him he will do a big clock, the whole country will soil their underpants with their sex wee and he will be a stupid price and you could take your profit immediately Bet placement failed ARC rejected bet due to rounding unit stake to 0! well that was great fun trying to get some of that 100s Vanfrankie
between them all i got just over €12 on @ 100s and then a few quid more @ 66sHe has been doing some nice trials around Shelbourne, even more gutting though that Ardfert Tee Jay just doesn't seem to be running Shelbourne like he did Tralee as he was different speed to Vanfrankie down there ![]() |

Trying to get £250 EW on one @ 100/1.
Paddy P0wer - don't want my business on greyhounds at all. Last 2 bets with them £200 win, £100 win. BOTH LOSERS. B0ylesports - £3.15 EW - won't speak to me - internet bets only allowed, so we can restrict you to coppers. They're the sponsors FFS. Betfair Sportsbook - £25 EW. Sid James - I can have £50 EW but they're only first 4. They'll revert to first 6 when the entries have closed. Isn't that ar$e about face? Ladbroke$ - £50 EW. Fair play to them. Hill$ - the dog's not in the list. BetVict0r & C0rals - they can't be bothered even pricing it up. I'd like to tell you that I've won money off some of these to$$ers but it's not so. I'm now going to have to travel round the shops with readies and do some begging. I just despair. |

Woody
We'll be there as always, hopefully with a runner (touch wood). Protest at NAMA offices Friday afternoon, followed by 5 hours in the Auld Dubliner in Temple Bar, then Harolds Cross and the Chinese near Shelbourne afterwards. Saturday, lunch in O'Neills for Arsenal v Man City, B0ylesports, send Mrs Wales back to the hotel, and join her 15 minutes before we walk to Shelbourne. Stay in the bar until just before I fall asleep. Sunday morning, off to Galway for a holiday! The things we do for love. ![]() |

Jerry Melia’s fears were confirmed when he brought Greenwell Hulk to the vet yesterday morning and discovered that the dog has a tendon problem in a toe.
“He injected it to take in inflammation down. He is a little bit sore on it and if we have the tendon taken out then that would be the end of the Derby. So, at the moment we are planning on treating the injury and running him in the Derby”. It is a gamble on the part of owner John Shannon and trainer Melia but the veteran handler is hopeful that the toe will stand up the racing. Greenwell Hulk has been second favourite behind Droopys Nidge in most betting lists but his price could not drift a little due to his problem. |

The flying Paradise Madison has run his last race and he will now commence full-time stud duties with Michael Dunne at the Frightful Flash Kennels in Portlaoise.
He finishes his racing record with an extremely impressive portfolio as the fastest greyhound ever over 525 yards in Ireland, a feat he achieved when clocking an absolutely sensational 27.67 in December 2012. Injury prevented this dog from challenging seriously for major honours but he did manage to win the 2013 Townviewfoods.com Champion Stakes. Coincidentally, he finished his racing career in the same competition last Saturday when he finished down the field in the second semi-final behind Vimmerby. He was found to be lame after that race and Dave Buckley decided to cry halt on his racing career. He has a number of litters on the ground, of course, and his first litter will be twelve months old next month. Buckley confirmed the retirement yesterday when he said, “He has a lot of pups coming along. He has been very popular with breeders and it he can one like himself then we will be happy”. In his interrupted career Paradise Alanna, a son of Head Bound and Paradise Alanna which was bred by Sean Meade, ran just 27 races and among his times were 27.67sec, 27.92sec and 27.96sec for 525 yards, 29.37sec and 29.46sec for the 550 trip and 30.94sec for the 575 distance. |
