its just a matter of whether or not in the next two races
ray will miss a break or not get the rail, ( sooner or later ? ),
then that will be that at this level Cry

Cashman obviously believes Puma will finish in the first 3, he goes 2/5 to make the final. He doesn't fancy him to win his semi over the draw obviously but still feels he will be good enough to stay on into the 3. If he does make the final he is one of the unseeded dogs that the draw will not be that important too [as long as not drawn outside Imp but he fancys him to get knocked out 1/5] so therefore if he scrapes through which is what he thinks he has a big chance where as if let's say Sugar Ray goes through and gets 4 or worse he will be as big as he is now surely.

Exciting stuff, no Alien Planet though?

The last one should be Granard Bound.

Sawpit Sensation will definately get into a 550y or 575y race
Warhawk will get into the Puppy race [Puppy Derby starts the night before]
Ballyard Buddy will defiantely get into the 750y race

Not sure about the others 2, maybe Granard Bound will get into a 600y race?
By:

When: 29 Aug 12 10:56
Shea has only ever ran over 480m, apart from one 485m race, so maybe there's a 525yds? May get 503m though.

Think 640m/660m Granard's distance, but dunno what that equates to in yards. Running exceptionally well

He won't get 2 dogs in one race so if he wanted Granard Bound over 750y he'd need to put Ballyard Buddy in the 850y race.

4 of them trial Saturday night. A lot will probably depend on how they go in them.

Buddy has won over 720m, think that might be roughly 800yds, think would be doubtful he'd get 850yds, certainly stepping into unknown territory. Think Granard could run 600yds, even better 700yds but dont think there's such a trip a Shelbourne?

Granard would need s taxi over 750 yds at shelbourne
he's a odd dog sometimes he looks a strong stayer than other races his breathing though his ass!
Alien was poor at monmore so can see why he ain't going over thought Shea run ok the other week after falling out!
think Ballyard looks tool round Sheffield the other week!
makes a change the english sending over nice dogs that mason up and coming !

Agree Fatty, Granard has won over 670m but 750yds is 686m, a 16m bridge too far, imo. Has been quirky in the past but none of it lately, sure things will be okay.

Wouldnt say Alien Planet was poor at Monmore, just lost all hope stumbling badly at the start but may have picked up a niggle.

Ballyard Buddy is antepost fav for out St Leger and is in irresistible form.

The Irish air may do Fridays Shea good, open to improvement

Anybody see Pat Guilfoyle's quote on greyhoundview after Laughil Billy's win last week.

"Greyhound Racing is like a game of Snakes and Ladders, you roll a few sixes and everything is going great, then you land on a snake and you're planning a new game again."

Laugh quality

talking about snakes, Coolykereen Imp, wasted every race it's been in, how thick could the authorities be when giving this thing a rails seed, the owners must be laughing, knocking out at least 3 dogs every round. cheers.

Dont underestmate the Irish air, great stuff. Change of scenery can do you the world of good too.

Covered most bases but still playing catch-up after main hope Ballymac Vic crashed out. Only dogs not got now: Camas, Diva, Tock and Cougar, looking for them out. By far best result Imp, but little hope, then George, must have a squeak. What was the last dog to do the Irish Derby double?

Incidentally, seems www.ite.ie are covering the semis

Spanish Battleship is the only dog to win it more than once and he won it 3 times back in the 50s or something like that.

Razldazl Bugatti - As we've said since the draw was made he is absolutely plotted up. Still think he is way too big at 7/2, level break he leads around with Imp moving off and he stayed on really well last week. Camas as always is well drawn and thought he was too big at 11/2 too. Puma needs massive luck from this draw in my opinion and thus i cannot consider him at the prices. Will be playing 1x6, 6x1, 1x6x5, 1x6x3 casts too.

Drumurrer Vixen - She is simply too big a price. Swift Marathon will lead her up along the fence but there is a strong possibility with a good start she could turn handy enough by following him up and if she does turn close she won't be far away. The race is only going to be won in 29.80 at best i'd say unless Power Of God somehow gets across and leads but he has a rubbish draw. The bottom has a brilliant draw but she is limited enough in this sort of class.

Ladbrokes are 4/1 Laughill Billy now. Correct me if i'm wrong but did they not put up 9/4 about him when the heat betting first came out? Also, they are SP only betting on the second semi. Hope there isn't a NR that they know of.

I remember The Two Ronnies doing a sketch. They said East Fife 5 Forfar so far 4! Laugh.

Personally, cant see Puma not qualifying, thats why i added him. Not impressed with the 6/1 antepost, when you can gett 3/1 for tonight but i can see him going off second fav for the final, thus shorter, or even favourite, if Sugar Ray dont make it
