Heres 4 that i think WONT win the derby..killbarry rover..camas..cool imp..and bugatti ..probably make myself Unpopular with fans of these dogs ...THE best value left is tock 33/1 with boyles and PP..Cuil Cougar 16/1 with V.C. ..Droopys jet is running 3 L slower then his best but has been getting the luck in running but hard to leave him out if he gets back to his best...Suger at 5/2 is a crazy price he and bugatti will most likely make the final but suger will need the inside 7/2 is his right price. ..to me its all about VALUE and a fair bit of luck.

I think Camas is the best value still, he didn't run well last night i didn't think but he wasn't impressing me that much a few weeks back and then did a massive run in the Champion Plate final. He is the only (w) left in the competition so is guaranteed a good draw if he is to qualify.
The chances of the railers will all hinge on the draw. |

i dont fancy Camas at all PF in fact i dont think he will quilify for the final..raz luke had him just after the line after making up 6L last night..not for me M8

You're quite right PF, inside runners draw dependent but whatever fares best wins, cant be having Camas. Would be disappointed if that was the Derby winner, to be honest

365 priced 2nd semi virtually identical to my tissue. Think Ladcrooks 14/1 Kilbarry Rover a bit generous though.
1st semi some discrepancies. Loved Fatties 3/1 Puma but 365 same as me 13/8. I see Crooks go 2/1 Puma though, thats the bet in my book. Like Fatty, i thought Bug might have been a shade shorter than 7/2, apparently opened 9/2! And, 9/2 Billy okay, i had him in at 7/2 and Camas bigger than about 9/2 |

Think Imp will cross Puma before Puma realises what day it is. Puma comes from behind and should mow them all down. Yeah, worry about Rover but worth the risk at 14/1 imo

Just as Saturday night gone, Skywalker Puma is diabolical value. Off course they are constantly underpricing him now it seems wheile on course they are laying him, he went as big as 3/1 Saturday night after being put in as short as 11/10 off course.

Ladbrokes were 9/1 Laughill Bill last week in an easier heat, 9/4 this week in a harder heat! They were 7/1 Tyrur Sugar Ray in an easier heat, 6/4 this week in a harder heat! You couldn't make it up.

Reading posts on other sites questioning where the improvement came from Tyrur Sugar Ray, my god are some people seriously that clueless??
He had drawn trap 5,5 and 3 so far in the Derby and is probably the tightest railer in the competition. He was totally boxed up in the 3rd round with Newlawn Tock on his outside and Coolykereen Imp on his inside, Stevie Wonder could see he wasn't going to get a clear on the run up. He missed the break in the 2nd round and moved rails when the other dogs had got out of his way, added to that it was a messy race with plenty of trouble in it and in round 1 he moved rails too from 5 atfer breaking pretty well. They want to know where the improved sectional came from?? Perhaps because he ran in a straight line to the bend for once, he got a solo to the bend for once, and he trapped better from a brilliant draw inside a dog who doesn't come away well and lacks pace to the corner. A huge run as i've been saying for ages was coming from Sugar Ray when he got a good draw and if people couldn't see that i am seriously amazed. |

agree with you about puma PF ..good tracker that he is he will do well to avoid trouble before and and at the 1st bend..i would go as far as saying he will be last coming out the 1st bend..he may well quilify after that but puma is a big lay about winning ..2/1 with the laddies is a joke.

after small antipost bets on captian america and jayfkay going pairshapped i kepted backing droopys jet at odds between 6-1 and 8-1 over the last 3 rounds just added all the £20 and £30 up and ended up with just under £200 on
ive not seen a single race and only been looking at the result on a sunday morning any views on if jet could win? and ive noticed on the rsults hes not been leading when i put the bets on it was with the veiw the dog had to make all if i was going to collect |

He's led every night bar the 3rd round where he would have been knocked out had Cian Jamie not gone wrong and took Crossfield Star out at the same time. He ran better Saturday night showing good pace and bravery to the corner to get around but was aided with the 2 inside dogs coming together, had that not happened he may have struggled to get around in front.
He's got a tough enough draw in the semi with Cuil Cougar on his inside and with pace up in 5 and 6 too that will be moving inwards. The run to the bend is crucial, i think he is on the short side O/R but then again if he qualifies and draws trap 1 he will probably be favourite. I thought George would have beaten him Saturday night had Newlawn Tock not done him for middle and make him check on the 3rd. |

Sorry to disagree Frank and PF, but think Puma good at 2/1. He's 4 lengths to the good of Camas on Quarter final form and hard to hold granted a relatively smooth passage, imo. Bug's got the draw but misses sometimes which is a worry with Imp up there. Would fear Billy and worth a saver at 9/2 but Puma should prevail.
Not even got Puma antepost but if he's going to drift like some say, may back him in semi and roll winnings up onto the final |

Well if you want to back the worst drawn dog in the semi finals at 2/1 off ya go, it's a rubbish price imvho. Bugatti was massive @ 9/2, massive @ 4/1 and still big @ 7/2.

Yeah, obviously very competitive at the semi stage of the Irish Derby but thought it a big run by Puma Saturday. Wouldnt expected any dog left to have gotten that close to Sugar Ray after not the cleanest of runs. Puma could improve, imo. Imagine what he would do if showing up a bit closer earlier!

There is a load in close proximity, The Grand Canal Hotel is not far from the track [probably the closest], just up to the crossroads from the track and turn right and it's a couple of hundred yards down that way.
