Rahm price a tad strange for me still....
Keopka could be 6,7 under easily. |
By:
Koepka shooting about the worst he could now leads alone. Ominous doesn't even cover it.
By:
Nice from Ricky.Adam.

Wallace back pedalling quick.

that looked thick and no crowd to find it.Might only get to the front of the green.
By:
Yeah, from there will need to pitch in for eagle rather than putt it.
By:
That's a decent shift from Jason Caron.

typical big cat
By:
now you see why he didn't bother to play a tournament beforehand- he can warm up during the first round.
By:
I know where Tiger is coming from-no point me warming up before a round either as I only have 80 shots in my back
if i take 80 then that's it anyway!! |
By:
Just a machine ,no emotion after a poor shot.
By:
Tiger's doing fairly well considering the Koepka intimidation factor.
By:
is brooks now -6?
By:
there are some good players in golf but you'd have to say on current evidence Koepka seems at least a level above everyone else.
By:
didn't expect him to miss that and he didn't
the rest of the field badly needs him to show some humanity cus currently he looks like a golfing robot the only mystery when you see this is why he hasn't won a lot more on the tour. |
By:
Let's see how Rory and DJ respond but on A-games it's certainly those 3 then the rest. The difference being Brooks' A-game shows up at the right times.
By:
still hoping for tommy but currently this is looking like it could develop into a rout
I'm hoping it doesn't |
By:
Guy on sportsbook saying this side of draw now favoured by forecast chaps...
Keopka layers check it out... |
By:
I wonder if what Koepka is doing will make more golfers try and get stacked
seems like his huge strength is a massive factor, I recall after he won the us open the first time he was saying later than he knew he'd win as he was the strongest player out there. very useful for muscling those shots out of the rough. he certainly has a uncommon body type for a top class golfer and maybe we'll see this type become more common? although you could build all the muscles you want and you still won't have his temperament. I was saying earlier that his three majors in recent times was a bit of an outlier, that looks like utter crap now. on current evidence he'll easily get to six or seven and could well go deeper. |
By:
Difficulty for the late starters is how much do they push? Level is still a perfectly good score but if they see Brooks out there at -6 it changes things. Think we'll see a few good scores this afternoon but might also see a few punished for getting too aggressive in the hope of chasing him down (and I'm thinking Rory could very much go either way).
By:
wouldn't be surprised to see Koepka post eight under which forces them to push
By:
Doesn't seem like a major any more when you can't lay westy single digits
![]() That's just it though lewisham, players can hit the gym too, but he probably has a genetic advantage over Dufner - imagine Duf going all gym rat ![]() I also like the fact he went through the euro tour - I respect it when players like Koepka, Uihlein etc go that route instead of Web. He showed his mental edge coming through that way, and also he loves saying how he isn't respected, so that also keeps him going mentally. |
By:
Wouldn't surprise me to see DJ push too hard too TB
By:
tigers short putting is woeful
By:
something I read earlier was interesting- was from Koepka coach and he said something about how brooks doesn't just want to be world number one he wants to be the best by miles- to crush the opposition.
By:
if Koepka keeps this up for four rounds then he won't be beaten, but still a chance that he throws in a sloppy patch at some point.
although must admit struggling to see where that sloppy patch is coming from. ![]() |
By:
He got pretty sloppy round two at Augusta, and there's a trainwreck to be had out here, so you never know.
By:
His miss from nowhere been the duck hook.
Like on par 5 but worse,he was flying at Augusta and hit one on par 5 2nd I think made 7,and opened it up for many. |
