this is over already

I would certainly describe the start as somewhat ominous.

Condition ideal and half the field getting ****g massacred....

I can't think of a comparison for Brooks in golf over the years, as in someone so lethal on the biggest stage and so meh week to week. He's the Robert Horry of golf and Robert Horry is not worthy of the comparison but he's the best I got.

Earliest shout ever on forum....
2 holes Thursday. I do hope sincerely you are correct though. ![]() ![]() |

They weren't joking with the warning sign on the 1st tee Jedi.
By:
wow he is human
![]() |
By:
Theres the weakness right there.
Holing out. Not been as good. That was as easy as it gets, dead straight putt, hooked it. |
By:
Horry wouldn't have missed. I retract the comparison.
By:
I would compare brooks to the human equivalent of best mate. wraps himself up in cotton wool and always delivers in the big ones.
By:
Brooks suggesting fancies 10 majors.
More realistic when romps in next 2. ![]() |
By:
braveheart Wallace continuing his excellent form.
By:
birdie for Fleetwood on a very tough par four, lovely stuff
rock on tommy my son ![]() |
By:
Braveheart my arse.
Couldn't hole a putt for toffee when it mattered Sunday. And his behaviour embarrassing. |
By:
Rosey out to 40... looks a bit of an over reaction considering +1 thru 10/11/12 will almost certainly be better than the field average.
By:
If only this Koepka chap could putt.
By:
Braveheart my arse.
struggling to think of another nickname for him though. "****" doesn't have the same ring to it ![]() |
By:

is anyone else not a lover of tommy's demeanour, the way he carries himself, the hair-everything
By:
nah I think he's very popular and one of the sports nice guys.
just think he's made for this sort of test. placed in last two us opens and this is essentially a us open in all but name |
By:
ah right then ta lew
By:
Seems like a genuine, sound bloke to me. If anything too nice. I'd rather have Brooks down the stretch of a major, but I'd rather have a pint with Tommy.
By:
I'm not a huge fan TBH.
By:
Of his golf on course demeanour.
By:
yeah just off-putting,not saying he's not a nice guy
By:
Curious what you guys mean by demeanour? There's plenty of guys who irritate me in different ways but nothing's ever struck me with Tommy, seems to play at a reasonable clip, doesn't moan and whinge or anything.

Speaking of which, Hatton to -2.

By:
amazing shot tommy on the par three
rock on tommy! ![]() |
By:
For such a brute of a course the 18th seems pretty undramatic.
By:
Not that'll matter when Brooks has 10 shots to seal the win down there on Sunday.
By:
Good job he's on the bad side of the draw.
By:
Pile it on Brooks..pile it on...
By:
Think Tommy a pretty dull watch, nice guy off course, hes a fairway n green merchant, all right to left draw, akin to Furyk but doesn't get the poor press like some plodders.

Of course opinion usually inextricably linked to the pound note in this game...
