Tiger Woods shouting his gob off tonight about his chances.
Worth a pop @ 40 & 4/1 top ten? |

Its here again, the greatest sporting week of the year! The hum of the generators and the breeze gently working through the deep rough the only sound, then ROARR!!! the first birdie drops and an early starter who we all have to check the profile of as we cant place him leads THE OPEN!!!
Anyone can win! Tigers not really her, Rory's not here, Jordan's due a reality check! There are some prices to drool over still available, I could name 15 players who are over 150/1 who if things go their way could win smelling the roses! So its my team no doubt thousands have been waiting for my post, my cash is down so heres the list: Bubba, he can do it, Ala John Daly style and overpower the course! Sergio, I never thought I would be having serious money on Sergio again after all that's gone on with him, but six months ago I started to realise his game was back and that of all Opens St Andrews was made to measure, he really is due one and the next couple of years are the final chances, when better with Rory out Tiger down, Kaymer gone fishing and Spieth unproven! Big chance! F. Molinari, been playing sneaky good, of course the putting isn't great but often steady two putting and 4-6 footers do the job and he can do that. With a long iron game sent from the gods he just could mix it all week! JB Holmes, been watching him all year, the sound of ball on club is orgasmic, so accurate and long he is the new Calcavechia, really see him leading at some point then lets see what he is made of! Marc Warren, strong steady and improving, long shot but capable of being in contention. I remember when he was young I got 200/1 for him playing in some little event, got beat in a play off, he owes me! Danny Willet, long shot shown glimpses of heavyweight golf, worth a punt at 150/1. Happy with my team, views appreciated. |

I think DJ can over power this course like John Daly did in his prime
also Stenson, who is my NAP he's been at St. Andrews last two weeks preparing |
|
By:
Overpowering the course isn't essential.....short game and getting it near the pin is......the greens are not flat......closer to the pin the more chance of birdies.
DJ could do well but 99.99% guarantee to **** up the final day and lose it. |

I like Stenson, great long game very good aggressive player, its just the price 25/1, and he isn't too good a scrambler, 40s and he would be in my team.
|
|
By:
DJ just hasn't got the brain, could just run away with it he is that good but most likely it will come down to smart golf and we all know what he does normally!
|

By:
Tiger a good lay at 1.67 to make the cut?
Or 2/1 top 20? |
|
By:
how about random danny lee. he says he feels like he can do anything right now. he's kinda on fire. could have a crack for three days then pick his ball up on the fairway or something
![]() some kind of exotic could be on the cards.... |
|
By:
Pokeron, as a rule I never get involved with players who have shone in the week before the Open, Spieth, Lee, Gillis, Zach Jonson and the like will get murdered in the market as they are fresh in the minds of people. Remember the guys who didn't play the last few weeks haven't got any worse!I have made a slight exception with Marc Warren as I just got 200/1, but he is 170/1 now just because he played a good last round at the Scottish.

THE BIG 5 CONSISTS OF DUSTIN JOHNSON, MATT KUCHAR, JIM FURYK, GRAEME MCDOWELL AND CHARL SCHWARTZEL.
copy and paste from the rules section of the Big 7 vs the field market. EPIC FAIL ![]() |
|
By:
It's very confusing isn't it??? If it's the big 7 where's the other 2, and I would've thought that the big 5 would be the first 5 in the betting???
|
|
By:
nice find
putting gmac, furyk, kuchar in big 5 or 7 Shirley wrong anyway |

are all u guys on crack or smth?
it's blindingly obvious who's gonna win..step forward poults the peacock ![]() i look at the list & say to mysel'..he won't win..he won't win etc but i'm f*cked if i can find who is gonna win! they can nearly all choke(that's incl. the big boys) at some stage always fancied DJ for this from a long while back,Casey was r/up 2 louis, stenson should be suited but get 3 bigger underachievers the list could go on & on seeing that's it's going to be scoreable wouldn't surprise me in the least if a 'rag' were to prevail i've opposed Kaymer since his meltdown but just the type to find his mojo & hose up p reed should be well up there but fell away tamely at the US no value at all in the fancied runners smn is either going to do a louis & run away with it or it will go right down to the wire with a few in the mix..all will be revealed |

Well done xmx, you definitely did the right thing.
When something looks like it could be a mistake it always leaves you wondering whether the bet would still stand or not. The one thing you can guarantee in all my posts, apart from talking complete bollocks, is that I'll say the god damn obvious! ![]() |
|
By:
If Mcdowell was anywhere near his best he would be a great bet this week. He is struggling with his game, you could see last week he was scoring well but playing poorly, he loves links golf and if he finds his game 170/1 would be massive. Tempted to have a small bet on him but fear the worst, the Open exposes your flaws and I cant see him finding his game this late on.

Thursday weather looks like advantage to morning guys and not the afternoon guys. Cloudy all day but wind from 5 to 9 in the morning and after 1 pm wind over 14. Wind gust under 10 for morning buys and by afternoon over 20.
Friday the weather is nearly the same all day and can't see any advantages. |
