Lots of talk that we may see a record-breaking 62 this week - what does Rickie Fowler think? "I wouldn't put it past anyone. These are the best players in the world. It's not too soft out there, but it the wind is down, it's definitely scoreable."
Fowler obviously need to check the weather forecast. |

By:
Well whatever the weather is, I hope it doesn't suit Mr. Spieth!

Basing my picks on the last 2 Alfred Dunhill Championships with the combined 4 rounds at St Andrews.
-26 Tommy Fleetwood - 100 is OBSCENE. -23 David Howell - 240 is Massive. -18 Louis Oosthuizen (Only played 3 rounds because missed cut thru scores at Carnoustie & Kingsbarns), but hey he won by a street last time the open was held here. - a Solid bet at 25, |
|
By:
And the Alfred Dunhill is held in October so the wind and rain would be welcome with me.

DJ could make this course look ridiculous but will he? can you really come back from what happened at the US Open at the very next tournament. I was listening to an OLGB preview earlier and a guy had studied how a player who had a collapse would do at the the next tournament, answer: dreadful.

How different is the St Andrews setup for ADC to the Open LA tougher rough/pins or tees pushed back?
|
|
By:
Definately a lot tougher for the Open Leroy, but I am a strong believer in horses for courses.
|
|
By:
Plus you rarely get many non europeans playing in the ADC.

Xmoney,
If your having a bet on the Top Amateur can I advise a bet on Oliver 7/2 with a saver on BEN TAYLOR (+5 H/cap) - a member of Walton Heath but for some reason qualified at Royal Cinque Ports on June 30 making birdies at three of his last seven holes - even though Walton Heath held it's own Qualifying event (presume it had something to do with Regional Qualifying events). Earlier...Benjamim Ben Taylor, who holed the clinching putt for LSU at the NCAA Championship, was one of 12 players who qualified for The OPEN today. Taylor, whose par putt on the final green gave LSU a 4-1 victory over Southern Cal on June 3, shot 5-under 137 to share medalist honors with amateur Alister Balcombe & Gary Boyd at Royal Cinque Ports. |

gives tiger ZERO chance speith will find to many bunkers with his driver picks DJ,Stenson |
|
By:
eldrick has less than zero chance
|
|
By:
he has a chance. His proximety to hole at the greenbrier was the best of his career.
The open is the most open of all the majors, links can be a lottery at times. If he plays well, holes a few putts and gets a fewlucky bounces he has a chance |

There are still players over 800 who could win ! Dont think I have seen a market so interesting, Tringale of note!
|
|
By:
Yes, the market is buzzing! Pretty much every time I hit the refresh button more money is being matched. It could be close to 10 million before the off???
I'm in no rush for this tournament to start cos I'm enjoying the trading, and all the gossip leading up to it. |
|
By:
Can't see it being a procession like Woods 2000 and Oosty 2010, really looking forward to this one could be a classic so many with chances.

Friday morning looks the worst time to be out - very wet and windy. The Friday PM starters will have a huge advantage imo.
|
|
By:
Laying Tiger @ 40. Realistically, if you've got the 40, do you need the 1.
I'm anti Kaymer and McDowell. Np idea what to do. Lump on Speith might be my move. And will wait for Ski-Wiz's team before committing myself to anything else. ![]() The racing is rubbish. No recent NH form to go on. Good luck with yours. ![]() ![]() |

Where's your team Quincy?

By:
When looking at the wind direction....blowing NW by N....it could help Bubba...left handed fade shots would become straighter.
