The stat they flashed up during the round saying Rory had broken par just 5 of his 18 starts this year suggested it was fair enough to take him on today... The -7 he shot suggests otherwise Tongue Out

Didn't get to see much (any?) Spieth today but the punters love him. He's the same price as Rose, who started about 10 points shorter.

Based on what we did see it will be hard for the chasing pack to catch Rory, but of course it's no simple thing to play four great rounds in a row. Gotta say I LOVE having such a big tournament on at a reasonable time here in Oz!

To clarify, the stat said Rory had broken par in just 5 of his 18 first rounds this year. Make that six of 19 now.

Miss , when I was at school here in Northern Ireland 5 plus 1 was relatively easy .  The move up to the next level ( 18 plus one equals 19 ) was a huge step once upon a time .

Wherabouts in Oz are you ?  West coast ?

No, which is a bummer. Though I do wonder how much money I would win/lose if I could bet in play. I have a bad feeling I'd do much more of the latter Wink

Because ours is the great nanny nation my friend.Me, Poke, Miss - none of us can be trusted with our own money, we need our lovely govt to make sure we don't destroy ourselves as we are all incapable of doing that. CryCryCryAngryAngryAngry

And Meng is correct, over the phone. Nothing worse than being left on hold by BF when the seconds are precious, only for the moment to be gone before your ID check is complete...

Feck me rhino, that sucks as the yanks would say!

Mine were fine till holes 8 and 9 resorted to destroying their rounds, all to do this evening again and boy wonder looked imperious yesterday as well.

We make it work mate, and truth be told, if we got the crystal ball out we aren't necessarily worse off. I've been stuck on hold and missed out on placing losing bets too. The only thing I hate is I can't trade tennis the way it should be, would love to do that.

Wow, $43 grand was bet on Rory at $3 while I slept. Makes my $50 stakes look puny indeed!

Fairvenough point rhino, I suppose with the southern hemisphere time difference a lot of the euro tourneys especially, you would be in la la land snoozing anyway.

Hoping for some minor miracle from either Haas or Moli tonight and boy wonder to slow down hopefully, but he did look flawless yesterday mindScared

This is only my opinion, and it's probably not worth listening to cos I lose more than I win, BUT... Due to the fact that Rory is expected to win, it's created good value in a lot of other players. 7 shots behind doesn't seem a zillion miles away after day 1???

It's all down to Rory really??? If he starts to run away with it, I could be left feeling like a fool!

Backed 23 players due to what I consider to be good odds. But, what the hell do I know, I'm a loser!!!
