GRACE - Caoable of mixing it and price appealed.

I spend a lot of time looking at the prices and checking players out, and it stuck out for me yesterday. I actually backed him @ 580 damn it, but this happens to everyone doesn't it!

The thing is, if I'm thinking about backing someone I have to do it so I won't beat myself up if he wins!

No probs sheppy. I learned lots from the forum when I started on the golf and now I'm an addict In a good way though Great sport to bet on.

Sheppy , when Tiger was in overdrive golf was the easiest place to make profit . Basically all you had to do was figure out if the course suited Tigers game ( par 5 gimme birdies ) , back him and trade out when he went low . Lots of people on here owe decent bank balances to Tigers prowess !

Glad to see this back at Sheshan as i reckon this is actually a really good golf course.It could be doing with a few more electricity pylons and industrial chimneys in the background to give it that authentic Chinese golf course feel though.

I rate this as a ball strikers course and I've gone with 2 guys i think fit the bill.Both have never played here before though which may prove a drawback.

Matsuyama - Bit of a disappointment over the weekend in Malaysia last week but i'll forgive him that as he's not done much wrong this year.Seems to have a pretty solid all round game,although i have noticed he does tend to miss the odd short putt.Taken him E/W @ 40s in the hope that this course will suit him.

Donaldson - His tournament in China last week was basically done and dusted after a first round 79 but i thought he done well to play each of the following 3 rounds in sub par totals,even more so after his best mate Dyson was bombed out after the 2nd round.Previous to that played some really good rounds in Portugal and at the Dunhill Links without being able to put together 4 good rounds at either tournament.Has had some decent results in China before and i'm hoping this course will play to his strengths.Took the 130s win only on here and 18s for a Top 5 finish with the bookies.

The aggressors hoovered up Haas

Peter Hanson has been out for two months with a back injury and only came back last week to defend his BMW Masters title. He showed how rusty he was with an opening 79 but closed with a 63 to finish 8th. He has often played well in China before and indeed has been 3rd and 6th here at Sheshan. If he is back on song then the 50/1 is a generous price 0.5 ew
The other two prices I simply don't understand - Thomas Bjorn who has been 8th and 5th in China this year and back in 2005 he was 5th here on his debut. It was only the beginning of last month that he won in Switzerland and earlier this year was 4th,2nd and 2nd in consecutive events so how can he be 70/1? 0.3 ew
Jimmy Walker finally won on the PGA tour earlier this month and followed that up with a 12th the next week despite the obvious celebrations that would have taken place. He then flew onto Malaysia where he struggled in the opening round shooting a 74 some thirteen shots behind eventual winner Ryan Moore. He closed well after that finishing 6th only three shots out of the playoff. He is in superb form and I was surprised to see him pushed out to 66/1 0.4 ew

Bjorn is overgolfed, played ok last week but had been woeful for a month or so, needs a break, I'd avoid him like the plague personally.

as the time approaches i'm pretty excited. live coverage like last week's cimb for me in australia in 'normal working hours'. have to cash in and attempt some plays and let my itchy fingers get busy. laid some rat @ 80's as he was 81 on betstar like i said, now i've rebacked @ 120. overall stake on him $75 instead of original $50, but at better odds. dude can go low and not exactly playing like a mug right now.

plus, out of left field, a $100 free bet on dustbin @ 34 and going to move some of it onto someone else at somethings at some stage (on poulter/ernie/ishikawa/bjorn/horschel watch)

dustbin looks pretty happy travelling around with wayne gretzky's daughter, and here's hoping his last week spent in china albeit not playing can help break the 'last six winners have played the week before' stat.

it's something that sneaky, luke and duffman have to 'overcome' as well, not playing last week. but i dont think they've been in china for that long but i may be wrong.
