KR, saw this thread very late as I'm still mostly on the tennis these days. Gotta hand it to you, that was/is one gutsy, macho'ish high-value wager (+Scott and others duely noted). In short - very well played, come what may. You can cover the wind player, McDowell, if you want or you can let things run - I guess your heavily hung over head will tell you what to do...

GL mate - hope you won't need it.

PS: Are you covering G-Mac to some extent before the start of r4...?

I have been a member of this Exchange for over 10 years but have

not had a bet on here for over 5 years due to getting entangled

with the PC charge.  How the OP is prepared to pay 40%+ of his

hard fought straight winnings is beyond me.

Evening all, or morning should I say, didn't see any of the action today but managed to get occasional score updates.  I knew the final standings and had an idea in my head of what Scott's price would be, figured it would be about 1.5, LOL  got that a bit wrong, suffice to say I think he is an absolute lump on job at 1.82, in fact tempted to go in again!  Don't really get the McDowell price, he is only 1 shot ahead of Woods, they should surely be about the same price or perhaps Woods shorter.  Not looking to dump Woods either at this stage, think I'm gonna go into R4 on Scott & Woods still. GL all.

make adam a 4/6 shot at best, a lot of bunkers to avoid and he looked slightly rattled when he
made bogey today, on the plus side you got tiger for back up

good luck however you decide to play it Cool

KR, i think the Scott / Woods / Mcdowell prices have been heavily influenced by the coverage yesterday. A lot of the TV talk was about the predicted high winds and how Woods would'nt be able to use his 2 iron, how it would be tough for anyone to hold on to a lead down the stretch and how Mcdowell  thrives in the wind. Not saying the prices are right but that was the opinion most were pushing.

The BBC were just trying to make an incredibly boring tournament sound interesting and keep people watching, it's been really poor this year. They talk up the weather because they know they need it to generate some excitement and interest, and of course Alliss hates anyone shooting low scores, his kind of tourney is where the winner shoots even par. If the wind got up and people started having triple bogeys he wouldn't be able to contain his glee.

Always been the same he hates the course being shown up.

Now then...

Ernie wins... and KR surely layed off sub 1.1 and got all green

Scott wins... and KR showed balls of steel and let it all run.

Right? Cool

well, probably the sickest I have ever felt.  got back from a hotel earlier and the laptop was in the car and decided to just leave it there and enjoy the golf with a few beers.  obviously thought Scott was home & hosed an hour ago so didn't even bother getting the laptop to lay off at short prices.  an absolutely stunning turnaround as the fella who played by far the best golf all week bogeys the last 4 while a guy under no pressure whatsoever steals the championship.  no problem admitting I am absolutely gutted and annoyed with myself, off to the pub and a meal with the wife to simmer down a bit hopefully.

Congrats to Ernie backers and also to those who take enjoyment from my loss Crazy
