D Love and Z Johnson 1st round leaders both ew. Outright bets to be placed at the end of the first round when some huge overreactions have taken place(hopefully)

Although they've had wildly different results since, i got to see KT Kim and Bubba Watson go head to head in the final round down here in Oz earlier in the year. Bubba is 46s (fair enough too) while Kim is 850s - I'll take some of that thank you.
For what it's worth Bubba and Kim both fell away on day four, leaving Greg Chalmers to swoop in for the title. |
By:
I am with you Miss A - KT Kim is my best result going in. I think it is only a matter of time before he shows the world how good he is, has no end of talent and is very much a thinker suited to a grinding type of event

Just added a little Angel Cabrera at 570s. They say Oakmont 2007 was the toughest test ever, and that Olympic this year will rival it. Seeing as it was Angel that was last man standing then, I think he's worth a tickle.
By:
Taken stake out of Streelman, and chucked some of it on Simon Dyson.
May yet add Lucas Glover. His price has reached a tempting level. |

AD or miss anomally, any idea if the rank 'n file terrestrial viewer will get to see the US OPEN this year? Can't see it in my tv schedule. Gutted. Time is perfect for an early riser as well.
By:
Think it's Foxtel only Chosen.
By:
Damn! Sure I watched it on tv rather than online last year - maybe they didn't like the timing eating into midday tv this time around. To$$ers.
By:
Thanks anyway, rhino.

Will be interesting to see how this "play tracker" on Open site....looks good...
http://www.usopen.com/en_US/scoring/playtracker.html |

By:
usually look forward to the us open, but the course looks a bit of a lottery, and not a par 5 until the 16th
![]() no bets for me, but i've backed luuuuuuuke e/w first 6 at 14's for my mam was slightly tempted for an interest, but i didn't get to being the greatest propunter in the game putting on fun bets tiger at 10's looks fair playing in his home state, but i can watch the legend win and still get a buzz enjoy and i will be going in large at lytham ![]() |
By:
I thought it was only on Fox last year as well Chosen?
But there will be plenty of online links available if that is any help to you |
By:
Team going in.
Jason Dufner Bubba Watson Robert Garrigus Soren Kjeldsen Mark Wilson Kevin Streelman Trevor Immelman Scott Piercy Simon Dyson Lucas Glover Jason Bohn Stephen Ames Good luck all. |
By:
As others have said, I'm pretty sure it is only on Fox this year Chosen. I think one of the ads I saw said 'for the first time ever on Fox', so unless I imagined that it's always been free to air before.

Missed Blake Adams.

By:
Thanks AD, miss anomally.
Wonderful! As I said, the viewing time is a dream this year, but not if you're a the humble expat spouse of a PhD candidate living on a tight budget with a seven-month-old daughter down under. Oh yes, and laptop currently on the fritz - keeps cutting out due to fan issues relating to accumulation of dust. Just had a quote of $165 to blow away the offending cobwebs. I'll leave you to guess my response. Suppose I'll have to get out the screwdriver and get in there myself. The things we have to go through to see a bit of golf down here. |
By:
Stake back on Points and added Watney.
By:
I hope it works out for you Chosen, and you see some of the golf. Worst case you can probably catch the last couple of hours at a pub... if you feel like drinking from 9am
![]() |
By:
Surely the 7 month old daughter is worth every penny mate, make sure you get a golf club in her hands early on, you might get to see a US Womens Open live that way

Just about where I want to be with U.S. Open, except for backing Donald or Westwood. I can't really believe that two or three of the top six in the betting won't figure somewhere along the way. I have put some more into the parachute fund, just in case the golf goes completely t*ts up.
I expect to be abused for putting horses on the golf forum, but I don't want to be abused for after timing. Going for the record today as I have never laid more than 19 losers on the trot before. I have laid four today, with one more partly unmatched. The four matched are Les Verguettes (Nottingham 2.30) @ 5.00 average, Cantal (Yarmouth 3.50) @ 2.70 average, Razorbill (Nottingham 4.5) @ 2.96, Sea Fever (Haydock 9.20) @ 2.90. It'll give everyone a laugh if nothing else. Good luck to everyone with the golf. |
