Both stinking prices...i know he looked good last week but didnt he look good a few weeks ago until the final round Confused  10/1 would be closer to his true price and even then im not sure it would be fair Shocked

The 3 ball of Woods,Mickelson and Watson will certainly be interesting to watch, but I couldn't back any of the 3 of them.

This thread has been unusually quiet, considering that we're only a few days away from the off.

  I've done very little.

Traded Dufner, Bubba, and Garrigus, all for some Ok greens. Other than that...

Hole one....par 5 or 4 ???

course tour on pga website says 5
Mr wacker said ''The 520-yard opening hole will be played as a par 4 (it was a par 5 in the four previous U.S. Opens held there) with a fairway that’s just 29 yards wide.''

Its played as a par 5 in every tournament previously, however this year it will be a par 4.

its a simple way of reducing the winning score in relation to par

Had a few bob on Blake Adams E/W with the books @ 500/1 top 6.

He's been playing some good stuff of late, and, although I believe that this is his first U.S. Open, I think that he has the game to do well here.

Kevin Chappell was third here last year and is close to 1000s. Worth a small punt for mine.

He certainly wasn't 3rd " here " last year anomaly.

This course is a different beast.

Good luck, though.

At that sort of price, why not ?

Must be bookies hyping no hopers on here cos thats the biggest load of tosh ive read.
We'll start with Westwood, undoubted ability but absolutely no bottle in the ones that matter,if we could rename him him think ide call him **** Westwood.
Luke(pretty boy)Donald, got it all but another that cant produce it in the big ones, world no1 on consistancy but got no balls.
Fatboy Els,bit insulting given what hes done but his best days are gone, never win another major,FACT,lifes nice when you have much as he has in the bank,a lot of the abilities still there but the fire in his belly isnt burning anymore.
Hanson, late improver?could pop up somewhere but has he got the ability to hold off the top players who are virtually all in form?i doubt it,not this time.

Thanks for that input 247.

Very informative, in particular the fact that you do not appear to have had a bet.

Would love to hear your view on Daniel Miernicki's chances.

All about opinions F aggot,i mean maggot, think you will find theres a lot of substance behind mine.
yours ???
Can't see Webb ever winning a U.S. Open, unless he improves on his driving accuracy.

Having said that, if they grow the rough like they did last year, then he might be a good thing at that price.
talk about sitting on the fence, why not just say,"look,i havent got a clue what im talking about ,what im really doing hee is after some free info cos i cant really be a rsed to put the work in and makr solid opinions of my own"!!!

I stand by what I said about Webb.

It was always pretty clear that the course would be far more punishing than last year, so I can't for the life of me, see what you're on about.

I have posted my bets, and you have not.

I think we'll leave it there.

So far, you have insulted Westwood, Donald, Els.

You say that all of the top players are in form, yet in the same breath, label Donald as having no balls, Westwood, a ****, and Els fat.

You have not given any hints as to who you think may fare well.

Yes....Plenty of substance.Laugh

Look ****,firstly i commented on 4 players,3 of whch get regularly tipped and NEVER win majors, nothing to do with bullying, westwood is a total p u s s y,regularly gets in challenging positions then makes a total hash of it before coming back when its all over, that is total fact.
Donald has managed to use his ability to at least get to world no1 and wins tourneys, but not majors.
Els was a great player at his best but its 10 years since he won a major, nuff said.
As for you, your either 1 of the many layers trying to put punters on duffheads like Westwood who should be 50/1 or as said earlier, your just to damn lazy to get off your ar se and put the time in to make proper assessments.

don't really care for the name calling 247 but to each his own....in your opinion 247 does Kaymer have any shot here ?
By:

When: 11 Jun 12 19:55
Okay, lovely. 247 you have expressed your position. A weaker stomach than mine might describe it as aggressive but I'll go with cliched.

Now, having thrown an accusation of being cliched, I'm going to offer one myself - Luke Donald to win the US Open. It's been documented that he is targeting a Major this year above all else. If The Open can become a dice game and the USPGA is run at a course measuring 7700yds, what must his mind-set be approaching a US Open at a short, tight course with a premium on accuracy rather than length and, as always, putting? There is nothing original about suggesting Donald but I imagine him to be the 10/1 fav here, not the 14/1 3rd fav. Beyond Donald, I think there is alot to like about the prices of Stricker, Snedeker, Roberto Castro & Charlie Wi. The 3-ball of Woods, Mickelson & Bubba makes each of them lays in my opinion; surely they will infect each other with waywardness off the tee? Or maybe they'll inspire one another? But I wouldn't bet on it.

Good luck all.
