If you knock on enough doors eventually one opens

Why does Dufner need to knock......?....use his belly to barge a door open.....easier

Bubba birdie birdie start......-10 anyone ?

It's a funny rule, Ski-Wiz. I don't like going back unless it's a pure trade. Mind you, now he's three under for the round after nine, it might not be a bad move.

Ah i see....well i've done the trade and made some profit out of it....so thanks for alerting me to him
Watson 4 birdies in a row.....oh i see -10 coming |

Plenty of quality players lurking not too far off The Duffer and he's maybe a little unfortunate that he's out with Graham Delaet tomorrow....good a player/scorer as Graham is...he does tend to throw in some absolute horror rounds on Sunday when in contention and that might be enough to put him off...he deserves to win one but has had so many chances over the years.....up until 18 months ago he was regularly 250/300 pre tournie every week and often use to contend but never got the job done in spite of shed loads of low rounds...the back 9 Sunday always being his achilles heel...then he shot to prominence in a couple of high profile events ( in particular last year ) and is now best 60 pre tournie (this week 30 ish ) without actually winning....could be to this decade what Briny Baird was to the noughties

I can imagine Dufner leading by 3 shots until the 17th and go wet on the last 2 holes and lose again.
By:
Luke at 14 looks like the best lay value.......5 shots behind is too far back IMO
By:
Tringale looks the best value at the moment compare to to others above him
By:
Imagine Dufner's price next time if he actually wins... Personally I hope he pulls it out, would be great to see him win one.
By:
Shame for Dufner that he did'nt make Eagle at the last. 2 stroke lead is nice but it's going to be squeaky bum time.
If he loses I hope someone else has a stormer and beats him rather than Dufner beat himself. Els and Donald will have a go im sure. Els has had a few chances this year but the putter has let him down - his stats suggest he is putting very well this week. May have a small wager on him to cover my loses if Burnt Beefburger brings home the bacon at the Balentines. |
By:
Morning all, still so far so good. May be wishful thinking but I think Dufner's finally going to get the job done.
Happy with Duke's position as well as think he[and Chalmers as well] are far more likely to run in to a place from a bit off the pace than if they'd been in last group or two out. As I said yesterday a win for Dufner and a top 5 for Duke or Chalmers will make a very good weeks work indeed. Good luck for final round everyone. |

There's a lot of permutations of what could happen in the last round here.
Dufner-Is this the week it all comes good?Very impressive in every department of his game yesterday and if he plays the same way again today,he would have to win.I'ts Sunday though and it's not his favourite golfing day of the week. Els-Been playing well the last couple of months and i think his putting looks better this week.Has a few demons to exercise though after that horror finish at Transitions. Rollins-Well i'm on Rollins each pre-tourney at 100s so i'm hoping he's gonna do it.He'll have went to bed last night though thinking about the two 5 footers he missed on the last two greens last night...same as i did! Tringale-He's been playing some terrific golf of late and does seem to like it around here but he's four back with some good players between him and the leader also.Too much maybe? Stricker-Good record here, proven winner and with his wedge and putting game could go low at the drop of a hat. Palmer-I'm gonna have to trot out the old cliche about being able to follow a real low round like he had yesterday with another one today.Chalmers followed up his 2nd round 64 with a level par 72 yesterday so i think it's just too much for Palmer. Donald-He went up a few notches in my estimation with that amazing final round at Disney last year to win the money list.Five back of the lead but i couldn't count him out. If the conditions are similar to yesterday i would say if you get to 20 under you win it.That would mean if Dufner could break 70 it would be his.I'm hoping it's gonna a 66 for Rollins that does it though. Also,a memo to Sky and the otherwise excellent Sarah Stirk. The majority of punters watching tonights coverage couldn't really give two hoots about the fact Luke Donald could go back to world number one tonight...nobody cares! It's like that Fedex Cup nonsense...inconsequential! |

Lots of permutations as you say TFI. I think Dufner stands more chance of winning this playing with DeLaet than playing with one of the big boys. Like I have said previously - I really hope he wins even though im not on.
I would not put it past Chalmers or Duke to shoot a low score today, but both are surely too far back. The way Stricker played the first 10 holes on Friday I thought it was tournament over - but after that he was very unconvincing. More than capable of going low again today, but his stuttering form is very un Stricker like, and I suspect he won't be winning today. I hope Rollins gives you a good run TFI - at the very least holds on for a place. My idea of the winner is Els though. His recent form has been top notch, and but for some wayward Putting he would surely have been in the winners circle already this year. He was desperate to play in the Masters by right and that probably added to the pressure of actually winning an event. The pressure is off now however and I think we will see an Els charge today - I think 7/1 is reasonable enough value. But if Els fails then come on Dufers !!! |

Dufner keep shortening this morning. I must say I think 2.24 as he is now is a bit short
![]() |
By:
got to agree eddie. I backed him at the close of play last night at 2.6 shocked to see him 2.26 this morning.
By:
Unbelievable...I smashed into Dufner after his round at 2.58 and 2.6 knowing he would shorten, and went to bed.
Woke up this morning, patted myself on the back and layed off at 2.48 ![]() |
By:
I'm now laying him as much as i can 2.2 is a joke.
By:
Oh well..they can't get enough it seems.
He has to drift from here...surely. |

Is this price drop based on a possible weather factor, thunderstorms predicted for afternoon? Would have thought pga would have moved tee times forward if they were worried though...
By:
Weather forecast is for sunny weather with winds at 9-10 mph all day.
By:
okay, I've got thundershowers from 2pm on TWN forecast, I'll check more widely.

thanks eddie, was worried I got caught in a weather price crash, feel better now!

By:
Have to agree the Duff price looks too low.
Where do you see the value? For me it's Rollins @ 14 out of the contenders. |
By:
SophieB, why would bad weather have an impact on Dufners price unless you think he plays well in bad weather that is ?
By:
Eddie, was worried about tourny being cut to 54-holes due to bad weather
