Absolute bonkers Cheltenham festival that one for me! The first day started quite well landed a few winners at bookies but after Tuesday that was it not a single horse won on my bookie accounts after altior won at 11/10! Fortunately I was using skybet and betway promotions which helped a lot ! My trading of the horse markets on betfair was going okay but still landing no winners even though was building up £100 hedges with no horse racing knowledge! I needed mall dini to win in the 5:30 on Thursday for £500 when that finished 2nd I was resigned to defeat on the festival! Then today I made plenty of mistakes trying to make something work and was £150 down going into the 4:10! I tried to pre off trade the favourite burning ambition by backing it as soon as the gold cup finished but the market wouldn’t allow it to shorten so had to take a scratch ! I was then stuck for ideas until I scrolled down and bumped into pacha du polder ! I quickly realised it had nearly doubled in price 19 out to 34 and it was last year’s winner I remembered trading the market from the year before! I decided their and then I was backing 34 and not laying off until it shortened in running ! I got the 25-26 exit in running and nailed the win for £1026 leaving me £800 up on betfair for Cheltenham! I put hours off work in so it felt like a huge relief and felt it was well deserved! I feel like the markets where a big learning curve and next year I want to avoid putting to much money on the lay side as my lays where getting to easily blasted through and was difficult to get out at times without taking a red! My backing was pretty solid all week though didn’t get into much difficulty so must of been taking some decent prices which i’ll Remember for next year! Back to normality tommorow with football back

After missing out on the Watford vs Everton draw and the Burnley vs Everton draw in recent weeks i’m Hoping to make it third time lucky by backing stoke vs Everton to draw at 3.3 today at the Britannia! After Everton best brighton at home last week I think allardyce again will try and come for a point which takes them to pretty much guaranteed safety! With Leighton baines and seamus Coleman back in the fullback positions for Everton hopefully this will help finally earn Everton a point on the road where their form has been pretty shocking! As for stoke i’m Not a massive fan of Paul lambert I think very good chance they go down this season! In fairness to lambert he has tightened up the defence since mark Hughes departure they have drawn 4 of 8 premier league games since lambert took over! With no sigurdson in the creativity position for Everton today that hints even more to me the draw is big value! Everton have struggled to create chances on their travels since allardyce took over his tactics do look questionable and Everton fans are not to impressed! The 1-1 draw looks good at 7 to me I think both sides might nick a goal but unlikely to be a goalfest this one !

Glad you got a good odds winner PS .......Amazing price for that one, for last year winner, from a class trainer ( who obviously set his sights on that race...with number of entries). The GOING was key factor though, as was likely a race where a good odds winner would win. As jockey was inexperienced , then this
was probably the main "reason" ffor odds to be so high. Apparently her shoulder popped out over the last fence ( think it was the last)....and she could not use the whip on run in.....fantastic brave performance on a horse that had many factors in its favour. =================================================================== I'll cover some matches now, as won't have time later. 12:15 Swansea City v Tottenham Important FA cup game......and with KANE out I believe, then SPURS may be open to a very difficult game . SWANSEA been playing a lot better recently, and are playing now better as a team. However, as they have games against MU/MAN CITY/CHELSEA in next few PL games, then to avoid relegation they can't really burn up too much energy in this CUP game IMO. If they do I suspect they WILL be relegated. The combination of the circumstances of BOTH teams makes this game very hard to take a view on...but will try. I suspect SWANSEA will play a defensive game 1st half.....and most of 2nd half. SPURS are, when, fresh a very good team attack wise, but they may struggle a bit to break down SWANSEA 1st half. I suspect goals will be scored in last 20 minutes, if SWANSEA open up to go for the win. If LAYING a CS , the "best" one, based on my opinion on this match, is 0-1.( As I expect SWANSEA and SPURS will score late in game. MGOFS is 1-1 or 0-2 or 2-1. GL with bets. Will post maybe another 2 matches in due course!

15:00 Huddersfield v Crystal Palace
PL game and a vital game for both clubs in relegation zone . HUDDERSFIELD appear to have found some form recently......and they will be well up for trying to win this game. They used up a lot of energy against SWANSEA in last match........but I am sure their coach will get them motivated. CP appear to be a hit on the break team.....and are well capable of scoring. So I expect a cagey approach by HUDDERSFIELD 1st half. CP - Their coach will probably adopt similar defensive tactics 1st half.....and will know that the longer he game goes without a goal being scored, then HUDDERSFIELD will open up to go for goal. CP nay well score 1st on break 2nd half. Both teams have had plenty time to recover from previous matches....so 2nd half could well be a very good game to watch! MGOFS is 1-1.2-1/1-2.......A DRAW likely. If LAYING a CS it would be 0-1. GL with bets.
|
By:
15:00 Stoke City v Everton FC
STOKE in desperate trouble in relegation spot......EVERTON in "safe" position probably. STOKE really need to go for 3 points. I suspect they will wait til 2nd half before they go for lead. EVERTON May well play defensive game 1st half and try to score on break 2nd half as SAM A will expect STOKE to attack 2nd half. If LAYING a CS it would be 0-1. MGOFS is 0-0 /1-0 or 1-1. Agree with your earlier post PS.
|
By:
HT 0-2 SPURS.....
SWANSEA saving energy for run in to avoid relegation.......SPURS dominating possession ......SPURS should now win this match. If they sit back though their defence , they will probably score another on break.
|
By:
17:30 Liverpool FC v Watford FC
WATFORD will be in serious relegation trouble looking at the games they have to play.....and they are very likely to lose this match. They have not scored an away goal in last few matches, and I suspect LIVERPOOL will score at least 2 goals. Hard to see what CS is best to LAY.....so no LAY on CS appeals to me. I suspect LIVERPOOL will score 1st half first so perhaps a bet on LIV/LIV as a BACK, with cover bet on 0-0 BACK to utilise if 0-0 HT. MGOFS is 3-1 or 4-1. ============================= The RED CARD in EVERTON game ruined the FT DRAW bet.....but you probably are still in profit with it going 1-1.....PS.....hope so! Cheers the nooooooo...
|
By:
19:45 Manchester United V Brighton
MU likely to go for goals....and POGBA and SANCHEZ not on from start....so MGOFS is 3-1 or 3-2 If LAYING a CS it would be 1-0 MU. ....believe BRIGHTON will score at least 1 goal. GL with bets.

people over complicate betting and get too emotionally involved in it. either you do it for a bit of fun and enjoyment, or you take it seriously take emotion out of it and do what is needed to turn a profit.

DFC Charlie Adam has done us over yesterday on stoke vs Everton game! It really makes me laugh when I watch football sometimes as although These are very talented footballers some of them are not very intelligent blokes and when it comes to using their heads in certain situations their isn’t much going in their and that’s why we see situations like Charlie Adam sliding in through the snow trying to break rooney’s Leg after half an hour ! His team in a relegation battle but that obviously didn’t cross his mind! And he’s not the only one we see it on a regular basis for example players dragging each other down on corners in the penalty area and giving away penalties! That’s a prime example of players acting braindead!

My football game has been called off today because of the weather so going to trade most of the live games today starting with derby vs Cardiff! Unders are being cut 1.73 into 1.63 and pinny have chopped the draw from 3.3 into 3.14 so i’m Backing the draw as usual at 3.25-3.3 with a view to it trading lower! Derby have the third best home defensive record in the championship and Cardiff have the best overall defensive record in the league! When these two sides met earlier in the season it was a 0-0 draw and with derby drawing 4 out of their last 6 matches I think another stalemate could take place at pride park at lunchtime! Cardiff are on a good run and might tactically set up under warnock with the main priority to avoid getting beat! The correct score plan for this game is 0-0 1-0 0-1 1-1!

Wigan vs Southampton should be an interesting match up at 1:30 and I don’t like the 2.08 price on a Southampton win even with the potential new manger bounce coming from Mark Hughes’s arrival! Wigan are cup specialists this season and have stormed league one , they are for me rated as a mid table championship outfit ! After knocking Bournemouth, West Ham and City out the competition I have to side with Wigan in the double market with being the home side! They are a big competitive side and was recently fortunate enough to see them close up when they came back to draw 2-2 with my blackburn side down at ewood Park! The correct score plan for this game is 0-0 1-0 0-1 1-1 2-0! I think another low scoring game is in the offing but I want 2-0 Wigan onside at a big price at 26-27 incase they price to much for the saints!

Adams in a game 2 or 3 weeks ago should have been sent off.......Just committed numerous fouls, with some reckless challenges. He is showing the "symptoms" of a player at end of career, where his pace is getting slower, and they tend to commit
more fouls, and some "nasty" ones. REFS must stamp out this type of ....basically thuggery.....as well as all the other "cheating" .....such as players claiming throw ins /corners....NOT shoulder charging BUT using hands/arms to push players off balance. Claiming for throw ins and corners , when it is clear that the decision is against the player making such claims IS UNSPORTING BEHAVIOUR AND SHOULD BE PUNISHED WITH YELLOW CARD. Still far too much of this type of "cheating" in game........and youngsters seeing this juvenile behaviour will pick up bad habits, and "cheat", as they see it goes unpunished. ADAMS does have "skill", especially on hitting ball on target from distance, but what I saw 2/3 weeks ago was ludicrous behaviour by him. I never saw the ROONEY challenge, but his track record is very poor on discipline, especially in younger days, and it is a great pity he cannot control how he plays as it is not good for youngsters watching the game. Will post after 11.00 am. GL with bets today.

91,
You talk about some footballers not being very intelligent. Many of them are total planks. But they know how to kick a ball, hack fellow players not giving a thought to injury, and of course, last but not least, spitting. That last one says a lot about the dregs for whence they came, doesn't it. Filth is filth. You can't change what you are. Good or bad. Money, fame and celebrity buy tolerance.

My tipster @ratings mike on twitter owner of the foxpunter site sent us all an email at the start of the season recommending us all to read a book called “the slight edge” by Jeff Olson! At the time I was thinking i’m 26 now and I haven’t read a book since I was 16 years old pretty much 10 years! I thought if my mates find out i’m Reading a book i’ll Get the piss taken out of me , but I decided to take mike’s advice anyway and purchased “the slight edge” book and what a great decision it proved to be ! It’s transformed my outlook on life and improved my mindset and trading results over the past few months! I never thought a book could make such a difference but I appreciate a lot that i’ve Been able to read it still in my mid 20s! I niw want to read a book once every 2-3 months and have just bought another one this week “the subtle art of not giving a **** “ by Mark Manson ! I never thought I’d be reading books 12 months ago but it’s working and i’m Happier than I’ve ever been so going to carry on doing so seen as they help

Will post WIGAN game now :-
13:30 Wigan Athletic v Southampton SOUTHAMPTON - Really should be concentrating on avoiding RELEGATION. They can do so over next few PL matches.......but if they get caught up with FA CUP games, they probably will be relegated. So I expect SOUTH to conserve energy , as much as possible, by playing TIGHT game .....and a few games ago they showed they could do this. So how they fare will depend on WIGAN. WIGAN - Have games in hand in L1.....and appear to have strong chance of getting automatic promotion. They must have a good defence having got past MAN CITY, though SOUTH' style of play is completely different from MC. If SOUTH adopt a 1st half defensive approach, relying on set pieces to try to score, then in first half I believe 0-0 at HT is likely. If SOUTH score first, then they may well win 0-1. If WIGAN score first ...again they may well win 1-0. So IMO the "best" CS to LAY is 1-1 based on my opinion. MGOFS is 0-1 or 1-0......or 0-2 or 2-0. I agree that WIGAN "logically" look the more likely team to qualify for next stage, BUT SUSPECT SOUTH MIGHT PULL OFF A 0-1 WIN.......GL on your bets though P.....and 0-0 might suit both of us! Cheers the nooooooooo Howwever,

Cheers DFC ! I would be happy if it finishes 0-0 definetly a score I want onside! I’m only 45 mins away from Wigan and the weather conditions are awful so maybe a tight game in blustery conditions is going to happen! Wigan are very good defensively anyway Bournemouth, West Ham and City all failed to score against them at home !

Leicester vs Chelsea match /correct score preview! My angle on this game is I can see both teams scoring in the match for sure! So my BTTS template is coming out once again ! Because of Chelsea playing in midweek and getting the runaround off Barca and generally not being in good form for a long time now the 2.06 on them to beat a Leicester side that have only lost 4 times at the king power this season looks very unappealing! I’d much prefer to back the 1-2 Chelsea win instead at 10.5! They won this fixture 1-2 back towards the start of the season and it’s the likelihood of Leicester scoring in this match that puts me off backing Chelsea to win to nil scores! Vardy And Mahrez should give this ropey Chelsea defence plenty to think about and find atleast one goal! However Willian is in great form and hazard is exceptional on his day so I have to give Chelsea a goal aswell they created some good openings in the nou camp midweek but didn’t take their chances and left the back door open for messi to capitalise! Although conte dosen’t seem to know whether to play giroud or morata and neither really setting the world alight it will probably boil down to Willian and hazard making the difference again in the attacking areas! With an under 2.5 price of 2.1 the market seems to agree with my correct score plan and that both teams will find the back of the net and we’ll see 2-4 goals inside 90 minutes! My four score plan for this game is 1-1 2-1 1-2 2-2! It’s difficult to call a winner so I definitely want 2-1 either side!

Cardiff have drifted 3.1 out to 3.5 on the exchange huge drift ! This tells me the market believes Cardiff would see the draw as a good result! The draw has shortened from 3.3 into 3.2 already and might even go further !

16:30 Leicester City v Chelsea FC
Agree with most of what your view is PS. LEIC - Have had more days to be prepared for this match....and should be fresher team. They appear to have been conserving energy in preparation for the cup tie. If LEIC sit back in 1st half and allow CHELSEA to attack......it is a dodgy tactic IMO...as CHELSEA may win a lot of set pieces and may score 1st goal. Best strategy for LEICESTER is to attack flat out at start of game and try to get a first goal......then they can play their normal game of hitting on break. So I'm hoping for a furious start by LEICESTER and them grabbing an early goal. CHELSEA - Feel they are at a disadvantage today due to FRESHNESS factor. I suspect their coach will adopt TIGHT defence 1st half.......as he knows the danger of getting caught out by a break away attack from LEIC.. If they also adopt the same strategy 2nd half for 25 mins....then go for a winner that might work for them..........However, I believe LEICESTER will score 1st goal in first half ..... The key factor in game is LEICESTER NOT giving away free - kicks or corners...if they do this too often, likely they will concede at least 2 goals. MGOFS is 2-1 or 2-1. The "best" CS to LAY , based on my view on game, is 0-1 CHELSEA. GL with bets.

RULE 15 FIFA......
HOLDING AN OPPONENT INCLUDES THE ACT OF PREVENTING HIM FROM MOVING PAST OR AROUND USING THE HAND, THE ARMS OR BODY. ============================================================== Was it not a penalty for CHELSEA for the strong HAND into MOSES chest to prevent him getting to ball???? IMO it was.....REFS never apply this rule.
|
By:
Should read....RULE 13
| ||
|
By:
As LEICESTER need to chase the game 2nd half at 0-1.......then they might score ON THE BREAK again. LEICESTER have put a lot of effort into 1st half....they may run out of steam last 20 mins.....and perhaps CHELSEA strike then.
Perhaps PS ...covering 0-2 when odds higher last 20 mins would be reasonable thing to doo in this match ? Away for FOOD as running out of steam as well ![]()
