You have a liability of £88 to win £19 after commission based on blind hope masked as educational guessing. Do you not understand a coin toss is an analogy and Im not flipping any coins? Its to illustrate what you are doing is doomed to failure long term but you crack on..

I set a back on the initial lay of 1-0  to be taken at 9s BF.....odds at that time were no more than 5s BF......FLEETWOOD scored.......and the BACK must have been taken after the goal went in.......

Is this normal now for BF.....normally the BACK bet was just be vacated?

Still made a profit ......but annoyed about BACK bet being taken.

Was actually a LAY to gain £ 21 to cover commission........

£9 less commission roughly £8.55 from ..........so ROI on initial "risk" over 2%,
and that is likely the ROI rate achievable by me over hundreds of lays in CS market......

You should ask for it to be voided if it was taken after the goal

The World Cup is fast approaching so what do we make of this current England side and our chances at the World Cup? Looking at the front four of rashford on the left , Sterling on the right , alli in the 10 role and Kane as the focal point that looks pretty impressive , plenty of pace and one of best strikers in Europe to spear the attack! But if we look into it more can we really expect that front four to replicate club form on the international front I don’t think we can personally! A major part in the rise of Raheem Sterling this season has been the tutorship of Pep Guardiola! Fair play to pep he has sterling playing right up to his maximum potential imo! Also to help sterling out , de bruyne and David Silva have pretty much been the best midfielders in Europe this season it’s obviously helped him massively playing alongside those two in sensational form! When we look at England ‘s centre pairing we have to choose between Erik dier, Jordan Henderson, jack wilshere and Jake ****g Livermore! So where on different planets really and England are nowhere near on Man city’s Level yet we have to play on the biggest stage of all! Moving onto Tottenham Harry Kane has the help of the superb Cristian eriksen to create chances for him and a superb tactician in pochettino to get the best out of him! England unfortunately have Gareth Southgate who has never crossed me as a master tactician since i’ve Been watching and studying football! We also have to remember dele alli has gone 15 games in a row this season for a decent Tottenham side without scoring now that’s concerning! So the cracks are well and truly their for England and where relying on Southgate to pull some sort of master plan together to try and get the front 4 to replicate their club form! With a midfield two of Erik dier and Jordan Henderson I won’t hold my breath! The two fullbacks Kyle walker and Danny rose i’m more than happy with only slight concern is rose being number 2 choice behind Ben davies at spurs but in terms of quality both are good enough to hold their own at the World Cup! Now onto the CB positions where again we have major problems imo but maybe with the right partnership we can retify the problem somewhat! Gary Cahill shouldn’t be starting he’s never overly convincing and this season he looks to have aged about 5 years in one season! He will get ripped apart at the WC if he starts! Now smalling and Jones don’t exactly convince either when they start together for Man united nothing ever seems to run smoothly and united struggle for clean sheets when those two play! I am a massive fan of phil jones though ever since he broke in Blackburn’s first team! I think he should be paired with harry maguire and those two given the chance to be England’s first choice Centre backs! Both comfortable on the ball , aggressive and can defend! The keeper situation is a tricky one both butland and Pickford don’t fully convince me that’s a tough decision for Southgate! I can’t picture how England get past the last 16 of the WC unless Southgate turns into some shrewd tactician overnight! I do believe we are likely to see the harry Kane from euro 2016 who was awful and the raheem sterling of manuel pellegrini’s reign at city looking a bit lost and running into dead ends! Hopefully i’m Wrong though!

YUP - You have ripped ENGLAND chances apart. Most of post I totally agree with.

I don't want to go through team, as I would be ultra critical of certain players....but won't do that.

The main "strength" of ENG is their level of fitness ....physically. This is an important factor in a team and it having chance to progress past GROUP stage. Not sure about the coach, other than he was a very good professional player, and should be strong on DEFENCE side of a team. He may well have them well organised DEFENCE wise.

Trouble is certain players in DEFENCE are limited in their capabilities IMO. However, if well organised, their fitness level, physically, combined could get them through GROUP G.

They  are in relatively "easy" Group with BELGIUM, TUNISIA and PANAMA.

BELGIUM appear the team that will fight it out to gain top spot. They do have many players who are good individual players, but as a TEAM......not sure that they play well together. ENGLAND may well be better as a TEAM....so suspect they will finish top of Group.

Got no time to expound more on World Cup. Will wait til have more time to do so.

Believe it or not, as a Scot, I do want ENGLAND to do well.....but there are still too many players who need to substantially improve their skills and abilities to get ball forward in a more aggressive/direct way, exploiting the real areas where crosses should be delivered etc etc etc.....

Impressive view PS...top stuff.

Nice one DFC!  The upcoming friendlies should reveal more and i’ll Be watching with interest to see what happens ! Not sure why England are 20 and Portugal 30 to win the WC i’ll Be investing in the Portuguese again they don’t look great but seem to have a decent knack with getting through tournament football !

NETHERLANDS V ENGLAND....FRIENDLY

Probably TIGHT game 1st half.

ENGLAND might win on break 2nd half.

NETHERLANDS will try to get free kicks/ penalty......so we will see how "bright" the defenders are!Tongue Out

Tried a bet on DRAW/ENGLAND plus some other small bets.

FRIENDLY game so neither team will want to have a LOSS tonight......So backed DRAW ...plus both teams ahead at HT and going into DRAW at some stage of 2nd half. If it does 2nd half ....will try to go all greenTongue Out

MGOFS though is 1-1/2-1/1-2......

The best LAY on CS , IMO, is 0-1.....as NETHERLAND likely to get a set piece and score.

Might be a good game to watch......

HT 0-0....Have both teams DRAW and one of them ( main bet ENG) winning FT.

Plenty running by ENG forwards and left back....but very naive in final third. No clear chance created .....NETHERLANDS at least hit ball  more than ENG at goal....

As only 1st game in build up for World Cup.....a run about so far.

I suspect at least 2 goal 2nd half....both teams might score.

As also a small bet on 0-0 in CS...will lay that and back 1-1 and 2-2 for cover on DRAW either team to win.

Crystal Palace vs Liverpool match / correct score preview! I’m off out tomorrow on the beers and the match for Blackburn vs Bradford the live sky game so posting my thoughts up early for the lunchtime kickoff on Saturday! I think we could be in for a real treat for this game 9 out of the last 10 games between palace and Liverpool have seen 3 or more goals these are good omens! Liverpool have notched in 13 of 15 away games plundering 35 away goals in the process this season its hard to make a case for a palace clean sheet ! They might take belief from Swansea’s 1-0 win over Liverpool at home the other month but carvahal and hodgson are different types of managers and I can’t see a repeat score based on what I’ve seen from hodgson’s tenure at palace! Having said that if palace play their cards right they can get a result on Saturday but they might need to score atleast two goals! With the return of Wilfred zaha it’s possible but hodgson has a big part to play tactically and needs to set out his team right! The zaha /benteke combination could work on the left side of the palace attack just like the rashford/ Lukaku combination proved to much for Liverpool to handle at old Trafford two weeks back! Mourinho cleverly targeted Alexander Arnold/ lovren the right side of Liverpool ‘s defence and surely hodgson will look to target the same two defenders after viewing the video footage ! He has two players their which can provide the key to getting a result against this Liverpool side straight after the international break! Although hodgson has done a great job at palace this season I still think at times he’s not the sharpest tool in the box for tactics this proved also during his England tenure! When palace played Man City at home around Christmas time I noticed after 20 mins watching live playing zaha on the left up against the superb Kyle walker was an awful tactical move! Walker is one of the best fullbacks in world football and one of the only defenders that can match zaha for pace so it made complete sense to switch zaha over to the right and play against the weaker Danilo who was playing LB! It took hodgson another 50 mins to realise this and finally around the 70th minute zaha was transferred across the pitch away from Kyle walker and duly won his side a penalty in the last minute after Terrorising the city left side for the remaining 20 mins! Hodgson needs to get his tactics right from word go vs Liverpool and I’m thinking this will involve get the ball to zaha as much as possible on the left to terrorise the Liverpool Right back AA! From a correct score perspective it looks a banker BTTS for me and with salah likely to continue his sublime season we have to give him atleast one goal! The first two scores for my correct score book are 1-2 1-3 Liverpool I want onside! With palace losing 2-3 at home to both arsenal and Man united at 25/1 area it makes complete sense to want this onside aswell so that’s score number 3! Liverpool have had 3 3-3 away draws this season at big prices away at Watford , Sevilla and arsenal so with it likely to be trading around 75-85 region I can’t ignore this score either at those prices! With palace scoring twice at home to Chelsea, Arsenal , United this season  and having 4 2-2 draws at home under hodgson’s reign i’ll Be looking to add the 2-2 draw at 20+ for score number 5! The final score for my 6 score plan is 2-1 palace which could trade around the 25/1 mark ! If hodgson gets his tactics right this score could be the most likely to land if palace get a surprise win! In terms of which way the market will move pre off I like 1-3 Liverpool backs 13.5-14 and also 1-2 Liverpool should stay below 10.5 I’d expect !

Excellent discussion lads and well thought out..regarding Liverpool this weekend, the young Scottish fb has an injury and won't be playing, the defense is dodgy at the best of times, up against a marauding bentecke and very fast zaha, I can see it falling apart again..I don't expect salah nor firmino to start either due to the far bigger game in Europe the following Wednesday. Palace still fighting at the bottom and have more to play for, ergo, home win and draw for me.

Looking at the past fixtures between these 2 at shel hurst park, you may be onto a decent bet with 1 of your correct scores..

Since 2005..1-0, 2-1, 3-3, 3-1, 1-2, 1-2, 2-4

CP V LIV

I'm almost "drunk" reading your post PSTongue Out

LIV play MAN CITY in 1st leg CL game SOON.......so makes this game a hard one to fathom.

CP can score goals........but suspect LIV will play TIGHT game 1st half....then try to win game last 20 mins.

LIV should have the pace at back to negate CP moves 1st half.

If CP can win set pieces, then probably best way to try to win game. I suspect they WILL score at least 1 goal.

Just have this doubt on LIV risking injuries to key players before MC game.....They are likely to score a goal as well ( if they commit forwards to attack, then more goals can come....BUT DOUBT STILL THERE RE THEM DOING THIS !!!)

MGOFS is 1-1....or 1-2.

The "best" CS to LAY, based on my view on how game might go, is 0-1.

NEW must fancy winning this one.....but HUDD know they cannot afford to lose....so likely they will fight hard in this one.

I suspect HUDD will score and NEW will score....

Could well finish a DRAW....

MGOFS is 1-1 or 2-1 or 1-2.

Based on my view on game. the "best" CS to LAY would be 1-0 .....may be a dodgy lay though...so not too confident on this lay.

17:30    Everton FC v Manchester City

Interesting game.

MC have a hard run of games after this one....and will want the 3 points.

EVERTON been getting good results recently....and appear safe from relegation...so they should be relatively relaxed and can make it awkward for MC.

It may well be another defensive display from SAM's team......and trying to score on break. THIS IS A DODGY GAME TO PLAY......BUT MIGHT WORK, AS THERE IS SOME PACE IN THEIR TEAM TO COUNTER mc FOR A WHILE.

EVERTON's best chances probably will come from free-kicks....which they will try to obtain.

MGOFS is 1-1 or 1-2.

The best LAY in CS market probably 0-1.
......as can't see EVERTON not scoring if they have a go.

13:30    Arsenal v Stoke City

A play CSKA in 1st leg CL soon......so won't want too hard a game, but STOKE might cause some "problems"....as they should be desperate to do well today.

Set pieces will be best way for STOKE to grab a goal...or goals...and if they get enough of these, then I suspect they will score 1 or 2 goals.

ARSENAL should have enough pace in team to create chances to score, and I expect they will score at least 2 goals.

MGOFS is 2-1 ...3-1..or 3-2.

The best CS to LAY, IMO, is 1-0.....as STOKE likely to score....

SPURS likely to be "happy" with a DRAW and likely to frustrate CHELSEA.

So TIGHT game by SPURS 1st half likely.

CHELSEA need to win....and for once they really need to try from outset.....not play Italian style football!

MGOFS is 1-1 or 1-2

The best LAY in CS market , IMO is on 0-0.....though odds are a bit high.... but strong chance a goal will come ( though might be 2nd half) as CHELSEA push to try to win game....a goal from either team can come.

Very interested to see how derby bounceback from getting slammed 1-4 at home to Sunderland on Friday they were pathetic! Preston have had a good season up to now and I don’t think their 4-1 defeat at Sheffield Wednesday was a fair reflection of the game ! I like the look of Preston at 2.34 to win the lunchtime game and the 2-1 correct score at 11 looks a decent price

15:00    Bristol City v Brentford FC

BRISTOL know this game is a big one for them.....so fair chance they will want to win this one. The stats indicate that they seem to do well 2nd half with going for goals.

BRENTFORD appear to be a team that play it TIGHT ....and likely to do so 1st half.

So 1st half a very TIGHT game expected. Set pieces again very important and the team that gains them likely to score first.

Game could be won by either team.....and suspect the away team might be the one that scores first.

MGOFS is 1-1 or 2-1.

The best LAY in CS market would be on 1-0....as expect away team to score
.

Probably a good game to watch......but won't be!

Derby got the vital first goal then in early kickoff! Preston seem to be missing Jordan hugill a lot the big target Man that went to West Ham in January! Another thing aswell it’s best for all concerned that derby don’t find a way to the premier league as it will be highly embarrassing! They will end up with two premier league records for having the lowest points total in a season Happy

It’s juventus vs Real Madrid tomorrow so will be getting involved with that game! I think Madrid can dictate this tie and I can see the current 2.76 price on Madrid crumbling into 2.56 at somepoint tomorrow! After watching Juve in both legs vs spurs where spurs dominated the majority of the match in Turin I can only assume Real Madrid will do the same! Real Madrid actually surprised me in Paris how well they coped tactically and were very efficient and managed the away leg perfectly! One concern about backing Madrid for the win though would be whether they would see 1-1 and 2-2 scores as a good result and I think they would knowing at the bernabeu they will likely beat Juve and finish the job! Those two scorelines I want onside for sure tomorrow night and I’m leading the assault with 7.2 backs on the 1-1! I do have a feeling though from a trading perspective that real will get backed tomorrow and the market will favour them!

I’ve just been weighing up the Juve vs Real Madrid market and I’m making another move! I’m laying the draw at 3.3 and 3.35 double ticks with a view to it trading a bit higher!  I have two reasons for siding for an aggressive entry laying 3.35 and normally I only need one reason to go in ! The under 2.5 price is an interesting one currently 1.81 I can see that rising past 1.9 at a guess I reckon 1.92-1.93 potentially! I don’t see how anyone can back unders at odds on with any conviction after what we witnessed in the last 16 ties! All four games involving the two sides went over 2.5 goals and I think BTTS will land tomorrow! I’m not convinced the Juve backline is anywhere near as strong as the one that conceded only 3 goals on the way to the final last year! Bonnuci has departed for Milan , chiellini has aged another year and perhaps also their style has changed a little ie not as defensive minded! Let’s be honest spurs could have scored 3+ goals in Turin but Buffon made some good saves! My second reason is as mentioned before I think Madrid hit 2.56 tomorrow so I can’t see both Real Madrid and the draw both shortening together I think the draw could make way for more Madrid gamble! It’s not to often i’ll Try and move the market myself but in this instance I’m very confident 3.35 lays will hold so I’m getting the ball rolling myself before someone else does! For correct score market I’m bringing my BTTS template out again so 1-1 2-1 1-2 2-2 is my initial plan and maybe add 1-3 Real if the market goes to plan !
