BJT, you really do seem to have got the wrong end of the stick.  Where the hell did I say I've only placed 100 bets in my life? I've probably placed several thousand bets overall. The figure of 100 refers to the number of bets I've placed doing this kind of specific Free Bet thing, not my overall figure.    As I have said a lot of bloody times now, this is really a system aimed at newbies, who can take advantage of the New User bets - or, presumably, experienced users who can find newbies to teach the system to, and then take half their money...

Using the same system to arb on a regular basis would be very difficult. A lot of bets would need to be placed very close indeed to the off time in order to get 'positive' races, and that could lead to problems in the case of power outages etc.. You'd be having to put quite a lot of money on to make more than a few quid. And yes, the bookies would soon start closing you down.  But I don't think I've ever suggested that experienced punters would be wanting to do this, or that it's something a punter would do on an everyday basis.

If you have a free bet or two, though, it's an extremely safe way of making a small sum of money. Not 'guaranteed', but very close to. I stand by that. I'm fully aware that the bookmakers have a clause that allows them to remove the Free Bets offers in the event of this kind of misuse. The point is, though, why on earth would they know?   Say a new user has to place five £50 bets in order to qualify for a free bet. Their account reads as such:

Race 1          7/2 Lost £50
Race 2          2/1 Won £100
Race 3          4/1 Lost £50
Race 4          9/5 Lost £50
Race 5          5/2 Won £125
Race 6 (Bonus)  4/1 Lost Free Bet

You're telling me a bookmaker looks at those bets and thinks 'We've got ourselves an arber here!'.    If they can identify you, or your computer or your IP address as having been with them under another account, they may suspect foul play. In general, though, those are just typical bets for a newcomer.  Nothing suspicious there from the pov of the bookies.

hmm ok lets just quickly clarify a few things.

Firstly the Ken's been trolling me stuff, lets face it you've been doing it to each other, both trying to wind each other up. I agree that like you Ken has said some questionable things but as he mentioned he is trying to move on from it now.

Next I understand the concept of forum banter but to say the same thing 483 times is not really banter is it it's just dull.

If you read my comment on the first page it was a glib response and so the pomposity was somewhat essential. I thought it was fairly clear however I do find it interesting that tell me take a chill pill and yet at the same time scroll back over the whole thread in an attempt to try to find something derogatory to say about me. Anyway moving on I would give an accurate answer to the original question as follows.

Only a mug would pay for a system that always won. If you take away the questionable concept of a system that always won, then in all reality only a mug would pay for a system genuinely believing it to work. If such a system were to exist then a so-called professional bettor/trader would need to see irrefutable proof that it worked before s/he believed it enough to buy it. And once he had that proof he wouldn't need to buy it as s/he already knew how to do it.

If you want to say anything else disparaging about me then please feel free, however please note that I will be unable to respond as I will be too busy chillaxing in my crib.

So how is it guaranteed? How does it never lose?

Explain all you like, there is no guarantee, and it does lose and can lose overall.  You have said it yourself in your posts, as slim as you think the chance is, you have said it.  So why all the long posts to explain things I already know, agree with me, under the guise of teaching me something?

You could have simply said "No it can't be guaranteed, but you can minimise any risk to the point where it is well worth it."

And been done with it.

Lets clarify a few points BJT.
The system is not a get rich scheme or scam.
Purely a way of making money from the  bookies.
The bets are placed with the bookie first to avoid the price dissappearing.
Five seconds later the bet is layed on here.
I take my chances on betfair going down or power cut within the five second window.
I avoid bookies with multiple bet requirements for bonuses.
Lord Bobbin has first hand experience of the system, he knows it works.

Are you guys fcuking thick or what is happening?

My point was, your claims that it always wins, is FALSE.
The claim that it could be guaranteed, is FALSE.

You want to try and scam people out of their money, then somebody needs to give them the reality of what is happening, and what the risks are.
By:

You might be very good at betting BJT, but when it comes to this topic, you're one who's being supremely thick.

Yes, I've said that there is a slim chance that the system could lose, on the off chance that a bookie refuses to give you the bet. But assuming you have no history with the firm, and you're not putting the money on longshots, there's absolutely no reason at all why they would pull the bet on you. I've done these deals with dozens of firms now, and none of them have ever batted an eyelid.

Sportingb*t blocked me, but that was more because my first bet coincided with an 8/1 winner, which made them suspicious. Had I put the cash instead on a 2/1 or 3/1 shot, I doubt they would ever have been bothered.  (And my dealings with SB, by the way, came before I twigged how to use the Free Bet offers to make almost-guaranteed money.)  In the case of Sportingb*t, they did pay up in the end, although they removed my Free Bet offer - had I been laying the bets back on BF, that would have left me with a deficit of £3 or £4. Hardly massive losses.

The truth is, if you have a bunch of these free bets, even if you do get stopped by one bookmaker (which, as I say, is highly unlikely if you stick to short-priced bets), you'll more than make the money back on the other bookies.

I really don't understand why you're getting your knickers in a twist about this, BJT. As short-term betting strategies go, it's extremely safe, and you're almost certain to make money on it overall. I can't say absolutely guaranteed. I couldn't absolutely guarantee that if I walk outside my house now, I won't be flattened by a flying elephant. I'd say it was unlikely though, and the same could be said of losing on this strategy - particularly if you have a number of different bookies to play through, and so can get compensation on the off-chance that one of the firms withdraws the free bet.  It's just a shame the strategy isn't really viable once the Free Bets have gone.

Can we at least get you to accept that, assuming the bookie honours the free bet, and mathematically the wagering requirements aren't so strenuous that they remove all of the profits from the Free Bet, the system is likely to work???

BJT is unable to understand the concept of free money Lord Bobbin.
You can take a horse or even a donkey to water, but you cant make them drink it.
What are the odds of a power cut or betfair going down in a five second  window?
By:
LordBobbin
When: 17 Oct 13 21:45
If you can do the bets with half an hour or more until the event starts, you don't even need to worry about the power cuts - well, unless you're incredibly unlucky, that is, in which case the worst case scenario is that you lose the £50 or so you placed at the bookies. (And who knows, that horse might even win, in which case you'd be really quids in.)

There is a chance of failure, of course, but it's a very minute one. BJT seems to think there's a strong possibility of things going wrong. Which shouldn't be the case at all if you take proper precautions.

Guaranteed means 100%.  Never loses means never loses.  Combine the 2, and you make money 100% of the time, every single time.

Ummm.  No.  You don't.  And you can't guarantee it.  Simple as that.

I understand you are trying to bring some people on board to scam them out of their free bets because you have no other way to make money, but blind Freddy can see exactly why you would even need to do that with a "guaranteed system that never loses"....

I have already posted and told them exactly what to do, so no need for you to carry on.

The simple answer to the 'problem' is just to
get your free bet on, going for a fancied
horse, if it wins, draw, end of. If it loses
also end of. Backing, say a 2/1 chance, assuming
it's a true 2/1 chance, you will break even twice,
win £100 once, every 3 picks. In theory that is!
If anyone sees that as feasible, GL, but I don't
think it will work in reality.

I really can't understand why a relatively simple and painless system is causing so much confusion amongst old heads..

BJT - You're just splitting hairs now. I kept on saying 'close to guaranteed'. As I say, provided the wagering requirements aren't too long-winded (which they aren't for the larger companies, like Paddys, William Hill, B365 etc. - you can get a calculator out and work out in advance whether the wagering requirements for any particular bet are going to be too much) then you are almost certain to win. The only things that can stop you from winning otherwise, are the bookies removing your free bet, a powercut hitting at an inopportune moment, or a mistake in your maths. Anyone following my simple guidelines would be almost certain to avoid the first two of those, and the third can be avoided if you know a little maths, or have a calculation program.  I stress, these problems are very very unlikely to occur. And if they don't, you'll make money. Hence, it's almost guaranteed. You keep telling us that it's a scam, but you won't say why it won't work... The remote chance that one of the bookies withdraws your free bet doesn't stop the entire system from working. Do it right, and there's a 90% chance you'll make money. (95% if you have multiple offers available to you.)

Ken - Not sure what your point is there... Your system would be feasible, as long as you've spent very little in order to get the free bets. You can keep betting on 2/1 chances, and you'll probably make the money in the meantime. You could hit a bad run - my way of taking a smaller but (almost!) guaranteed profit with every free bet is more consistent, if a little more complex.  What you do with the free bets themselves, though, isn't particularly important.  The crucial thing is that the punter earns the free bets by losing very small amounts on a string of races in order to get through the wagering requirements. Exactly what they do with those free bets is up to them.

2 simple questions.
Can you 100% guarantee it?
Do you "always" win?

You have answered both, to the negative, so not sure of your long winded replies.

The scam isn't in taking free bets from bookies, it is you guys trying then take those free bets from others (or at least a portion of them) guaranteeing a 100% proven never lose system.

The reality is, all you will tell them, is what I say right now.

Deposit money with a bookie.  Use the free bet, and don't bet anything else ever again.

Done.

Save your money folks, that is all that is on offer.

My point is, everything being equal, at the end
of a period, you will win every time, but I will win
less often, but get just as much as you without the
involvement, all in theory. Actually I may get more

simpler than yours for (at least) the same return.

Actually, Ken's quite right. In the long term, there would be next to no difference in terms of outcome between his and my system. Except that his is easier to do, and does allow for you making more money if you have some skill and can identify genuine value bets.   Mine is more consistent, which suits me perfectly. The only time I get a chance to play these, now, is when B365 give me a special free in-play bet for a major football game, and I get a few of those in a year, so it's nice to bank a smaller but essentially guaranteed profit - otherwise I might be waiting most of the year for my 2/1 or 3/1 free bet to come good.   However, both systems will probably produce a similar profit ultimately, so yes, Ken's system does have its advantages.

BJT on the other hand...  Cry

Don't know who you think I'm trying to scam, BJT. I've essentially outlined how to make money on free bets over the course of this thread. Why on earth (and how on earth!) would you think I'd be expecting to make any profit from it?        Iprefertolay might be, but that's up to him. And, frankly, if he's showing somebody how to use their free bets to make all but guaranteed profits, they'd probably be happy to give him a share of the profits - otherwise, they might well have frittered it away without making a bean.  That's Iprefertolay, though. Not me...

I can't 100% guarantee it. In one of my long-winded replies (the fact that you don't seem to have read any of the posts is probably the reason why your brain can't cope with what's actually a relatively simple concept), I think I gave the chances of success as being 90-95%. That's hardly 100%.   In truth though, I have played this system with many many bookmakers now, and the only time I lost money was when I tried it with a Scottish bookies, not realising that the free bets were only valid for people resident in Scotland... Get the maths right, and it is pretty much a case of banking the profits. The only drawback is that you stop getting given free bets by most of the bookies once you've got through the original New Customer offers. While you have the free bets, though, it's incredibly safe.

And I don't understand your last bit - 'Deposit money with a bookie.  Use the free bet, and don't bet anything else ever again.'  Eh?? How is that anything to do with my system?  You're basically saying, 'bet £50 of your own money, get a free £50 bet as a result, and then bet with the free bet.'   That's no system at all!     What I'm saying is 'bet £50 of your own money, lay as much of it back at Betfair so that you actually only lose £3 or £4 on the bet, and then use the resulting free £50 bet to leave you with a good profit.'   You see the difference?  Instead of risking the full money in order to get through the wagering requirements, you're only losing a small (but guaranteed) portion on each race. That way, you can seem to be wagering, let's say, £500 of money, but only actually end up losing £30 rather than £500. You then get awarded a free bet which, once you've made money on that, compensates you for the £30 lost, and leaves you with a nice profit on top.

That is it.  No need for more long winded explanations.  You seem to think it is a difficult concept to grasp for some reason.  It certainly isn't.  It is arbing with a boost.  Simple.
I know you were overjoyed, but an iq of 99 isn't as good as it may seem.  I know you probably think you are a genius as it only goes to 100, but I promise, 99 is way under par.

I apologise profusely BJT. You are, of course, completely right.   My post was aimed primarily at easing in punters who were relatively new and inexperienced (obviously not aimed at true colossi of the betting world, like yourself or Zeljko Ranogajec) with a method that would give them a 95% chance of converting a load of free bets into susbtantial profits - probably in the region of several hundred.

As you have pointed out, though, the system that I had described as **almost** guaranteed, is only 95% successful, rather than 100%. As should be very clear, this 5% gap takes an otherwise very good system and turns it into a total no-hoper. Clearly, I must be the disgraceful scammer that you have described me as, and that's revealed by the way in which I have detailed the system here free of charge.

I prostrate myself before you, and give you my most heartfelt regrets that I tried to offer some helpful advice. I see that that was totally utterly unforgivably wrong of me. I'm preparing the whip and hairshirt right now. I'm very relieved to see that the forces of mean-spirited petty points scoring have once more overwhelmed a thread on here. I understand that that is exactly what the Betfair Community is there for, and it's right that those who believe otherwise should be stamped out by pretentious little pr!cks who appreciate how important it is to take one disagreement over a tiny point and use it to slag off an otherwise perfectly good post ad infinitum.

I hope you feel proud to have scored such an important victory. You've now become a man, my son.  Now run along. I hear your momma needs you to make her her oatmeal.

Backing say 2/1 shots clinging on to the wing and pray hope one will win one in three times is hopeless.
Have you heard of long loosing runs?
If your so called system worked we would all retire and play roulette till the cows came home (backing streets at 2/1)

The issue you have here, is you have been trying to explain it to me.  Nobody else.  You have been responding to me.  I asked you 2 questions.  You felt the need to try to explain it to me over and over and over and over.

Not to mention, I asked you those questions, after you hounded me with your bullsiht.

The only thing I said to you, that your "expected" random 8/1 winner was a load of crap.

If you wish to go through your history here:

This is my opening post on this thread:

Some of you at least show a little intelligence, but the rest?

What he wants to do, is show you to new bookies who give new customer bonuses.  He then wants to take some of your bonus, and tell you to arb.
The initial few hundred easy money is the bonus, then the small outlay is because the bookies have throttled the account.

Not sure about the fear of making money though.  If you had 50k to spend, and never had an account there is no reason you couldn't get up around 15-20k in a month in profits.  Of course, that would be about it as you would have near gone through all bookmakers by then, but still not a bad return.

Now why the fcuk, would I want to pay 30% for somebody to simply take my deposit bonus?

I then made this comment:
BJT • October 15, 2013 12:59 AM BST
Apart from that, there is no such thing as a system that always wins.  Nobody in their right mind would guarantee it.

To which you felt the need to try to explain to me how it works, by going through the facts that it doesn't always win, and you can't guarantee it, even though I wasn't fcuking talking to you now was I, I was talking to the OP.

I ignore that, and then reply, once again, to the OP.

How in fcuk can you guarantee it?

Can you guarantee the power won't go out mid trade?  Betfair won't go down?  Internet won't cut out?  Price disappears?  Scratched runners with out of line reduction factors?

Reality is, you need for most bonuses at least, to turnover deposit and bonus a certain number of times.  So once you have qualified, claimed and bet your bonus, you can't get your money back without going through the arb process a certain number of times.  Each time you do, you open yourself up to any number of things that can occur mid trade.

Guarantee?  Once you have been betting longer than a week, I doubt you will come out with anything so ridiculous again.  Until then, welcome to the world of gambling.

Okay.. I did come back, just once..    Long post, but hopefully, even BJT will be convinced...    You're way overthinking this BJT.  It's only a modest money-spinner, so there's no get rich quick idea here. But it is very safe. The chances of something going very wrong are slim indeed. If you're careful, you'll lose very little money even if it does go wrong. I must have played well over 100 of these types of race, trying to get free bet bonuses, and nothing has ever gone wrong.  No total guarantee, but it is very close.

If you're leaving everything until the dying seconds before the off, then yeah, an unfortunate power outage could leave you out of pocket. However, you can usually get a decent price 20 or 30 mins before the race, which leaves you plenty of time to get everything back again.    And if the worst happens?     Well, bet with the bookmaker first and make sure they've accepted your bet. Then, just go and lay it back here. That way, if the power goes down before you do the Betfair bit, the most you'll lose is the cost of the original bet. That's unlikely to be more than £50, which is hardly a large sum given that it's the worst-case scenario.  I would say you should try and leave yourself at least 10 minutes. That way, you can check the maths very carefully, and make corrections if you've made a mistake.

If the Betfair price has slipped after you place your bet with the bookies, you just have to accept the inferior price. It doesn't generally cost you more than a pound or two. Late scratches can affect it, although the bookies and Betfair usually cancel each other out.

As for the tricky requirements...  A number of the bookies do 'Place a Bet and get a Free Bet in return' offers. Those are clearly the easiest, since you only have to lose a small amount of money (say £3 or £4) on the initial bet, and then you've got the free bet to make the profits on.

Some of the requirements for these bets are trickier, particularly when it comes to the smaller outlets - they do sometimes ask for some ridiculous turnovers.  It's not always as difficult as it seems to get through these, though.   B365, for instance, runs frequent offers where you have to participate in around 20 races in order to get the full bonus. You can actually go through that number in the space of a couple of days, though. And as long as you're restricting yourself to races when it looks as if the amount you'll lose on each race is relatively small (ideally £2 to £2.50 for each £25 wagered), then you can often lose on every race and still wind up very much in profit. As a rule, I assume I'll make a profit of around half the total bonus - B365's £200 bonus, for instance, would net you £100.  You do have to work out how much you'd be losing per bet, though, and make sure you'll have enough profit left over at the end to more than compensate you for the string of minor losses.

I would also say that, if you're getting Best Odds Guaranteed, that can make a massive difference. If you've backed and layed a horse at 3/1, for instance, and it ends up winning at 7/2, the extra profit you'd make on that should pay for the losses on a string of previous races. On the B365 20-race offers, for instance, I've done two lots of those. The first time I ended up in profit over those 20 races - that's over the races themselves, so I also got the full amount of the free bet offer - as a result of the Best Odds Guaranteed offer, and the second time I ended up losing only £5 in total across my 20 bets.

And do remember that you often lose the entire amount at the bookies before you've had to work through the requirements. Break the wagering amount into small bets, if possible. (So if you've got to get through £200, you might work with 20 x £10 bets rather than 4 x £50 bets, for instance, assuming you're very patient.) Over a substantial string of races, you're likely to lose most if not all of it if you're just 'blindly betting' on horses. On four or five races, of course, you could get very lucky and end up making a bit with the bookies.

As I say, I've done quite a few of these. If you're careful, give yourself enough time to double and triple check each bet, and either know the maths or have a little program that does it for you (that was my solution!), then it's very unlikely indeed that you'll lose money on them.  The only real risk I can think of is that the bookie refuses to pay you. However, assuming you're going for 2/1 or 3/1 shots, that's unlikely. Most of the time, you'll end up with less with the bookies than you paid in in the first place. If you are in profit with the bookmaker, the profits are likely to be modest, unless you have some real luck with your races....

I didn't need your explanation, I was asking the guy, the OP, iprefertolay, the one that said it was guaranteed and never loses, how he could possibly make such statements, given all that can go wrong and cost money.

You wanted to stick your nose in. You wanted to try to show your superiority by butting in to show how smart you are and how stupid I am for not understanding something in your mind.
That is the reality of this thread.  You being too thick and arrogant to understand your place.

So keep hanging around waiting for the next email offering you a free bet.  You can eat that week.  Good luck.

I assure you BJT, I wasn't responding to you as such. If you were the only person in existence, I wouldn't care to waste my time on you. You've been here a time, and are almost certainly past the point where you need or can use the free bets awarded to new users. Hence, I wouldn't bother to explain something that you don't have any interest in or need to understand - your reasons for why the system doesn't work change with every post, and most of those reasons haven't made any sense, so it's not as though you want a mature debate about anything.

The reason I keep posting is because you've made quite a few accusations along the lines of everything in this thread is total tosh, and we're just scamming people. I can't speak for iprefertolay, but for my own part, I know from over a hundred different bets (and doing offers with countless different firms) that the idea does work. And works well. If a newbie comes to this thread and thinks it's something they might want to try, they have plenty of details to learn from, and would gain quite a bit of useful information about calculating and placing bets, even as they're making money. It won't be that easy for them again once they've gone through the free bets, but it may give them a few ideas they can work on.

It's for those people that I've posted. Not for your sake, but to give newcomers a quick start - and a little bit of information that I wish somebody had given me a few years ago before I spunked away my best free bets on things like my pointless 6/1 system.   Do such newbies exist? Will they ever bother to read this thread? No idea, but if they do, I'm really directing my comments at them in the belief that an exchange of information is what this community should really be about. And I certainly didn't want the last word going to a conceited jaundiced arse like yourself.

Now, perhaps the two of us could agree to differ and just leave this thread alone. If anybody ever finds it to be of use, great. If not, so be it.

iprefertolay, you're right. You can just sling your money on the free bet, although you could hit an unlucky run and end up making nothing that way. At least with the approach that I outlined, you're guaranteed to make something.

Also, the system I mentioned would be unlikely to bring you to the attention of the bookmaker. When I was relatively new to betting, I got a £50 introductory bet from Sportingb*t, and I placed it on a horse at 8/1. The horse won, and Sportingb*t practically closed my account down on the spot. I did finally get the money out of them, but they then closed my account down a few weeks later due to 'betting irregularities'...

The annoying thing was that my betting with Sportingb*t was completely honest. I was experimenting with a system where I was betting on horses who met certain criteria, and who had odds of 6/1+, and I was already on a five-race losing sequence. It was just unfortunate for Sportingb*t that my first bet with them coincided with an expected win. Doesn't take much of a win to put you on their radar though.

BJT 19 Oct 13 18:47   .......The only thing I said to you, that your "expected" random 8/1 winner was a load of crap
==============================================================

BJT - If you have a real "system" that consistently enables you to select horses that win at average odds of say 8-1 ( from top 4 rated horses), then you would "expect" future winners to approximate 8-1 odds. The "system" takes many factors into account and churns out winners that average those odds.

So you might believe the winners are achieved at "random".......but they are not if you truly have a robust "system" that has many "edges" etc etc etcDevil.

To say what you said re LB's expected winner is accurate ( in that cannot be precise re odds of the winner being specifically 8-1 ) to the extent that the winner's odds can cover a wide range.....but if they average 8-1 then that is what you would "expect" to achieve.

"crap" shows a lack of understanding re "system" betting....
...

Generally the "system" referred to at start of thread is not really a "system" that is sustainable for long....and profits are not a lot for "free" bets ....unless you have a method of betting that achieves a ROI. Your comments are otherwise fairly accurate on OP's "system".Cool

The question is erroninoninoious!!!!
If a Systim wins ever time, the develepor of said Systim would not sell it cos he don't knead the monet and wouldn't want to deal with gambollers hassling him.

But the main reason is:

"A goose thay lays golden eggs is never for sale!"

I hope this clarifies the matter!

In reality your system cant work, as you have doubts yourself.
Backing say 2/1 shots clinging on to the wing and pray hope one will win one in three times is hopeless.
Have you heard of long loosing runs?
If your so called system worked we would all retire and play roulette till the cows came home (backing streets at 2/1)
Tell a horse it must win its 2/1 and the last two have lostLaugh
Our system, LordBobbin and I consistently win, without a pray mat.

iprefertolay, was the above post meant for me?

Slicer, depends what the system relied on. If it relied on something that the 'developer' could no longer get access to (free bets for new users, for instance), then your logic wouldn't follow. The developer might not be able to get the free bets himself, but by telling a new user how to turn them into decent and fairly safe profits in return for a cut of the profits, the system would make some sort of sense for all parties.

Not my system, just a suggestion. You ask
me if I have ever heard of a losing run,
but ignore the fact that it is simplicity
itself, and everything being equal should
with every third bet and maybe more often.
