JARDIN DE VIENNE is now at 6.6 REM, as opposed to 10.0 when i posted this morning, so i think i shall make a point of continuing to past after lunch, it might minimise such a wide margin perhaps, however of course, it would still have been a lay even at that price so im still confident it will be beat,
cheers :) |

Soba Jones wins! :) :(

would just like to say well done to 200 and good luck for the future. been following thread for a while now and really do hope it works out for you all. also good luck to footsoldiers i am sure he doesent need it though. just remember lads there are plenty of the knockers ready to wade in as soon as it goes wrong lets hope they never get a chance, keep it going and once again well done.
By:
well done bud, shame you didnt have the win too :)

200 - it's tricky to know what's best. It ain't nice laying at 10s to see it shorten. But if they lengthen you feel you've got a good price and the right horse.
With my flat (summer) place backing system I always wait because market position and confidence is a deciding factor. |
By:
(was going to lay Alex H - as a horse with no form at Sth is often worth opposing on a different surface)
By:
thanks pencil man, ive had a few knockers already but no where as many though if i was on the horses forum,
REM, i dont mind it going in, it would have done anyway, but maybe the price was in between at say 12.30 - 1pm the time i usually post?? it might be like a mid reasonable time if you know what i mean, :) |
By:
REM, i have to post them up in good time for the purpose of the challenge really, when its for real, ill have my best 2 and probably wait till pre race etc to see how the market is,
By:
I think it's also swings and roundabouts, plus you've got to do what's covenient for your day.
By:
I think ill just stick to posting at 1pm and go with the price available!! thats my final decision, lol
By:
well done 200 quid-it was backed as well

Well done 200 .... :-)

*** 30 DAY CHALLENGE ... DAY 15 ***
28/30 93.3% 11.9 pts (10.5,7.6 = -16.1 pts) **************************************** 16 consecutive losers and now in double figures at the half way stage, still a long way to go, dont want the run to end.. i posted my lays a little earlier than usual, and one of them was at 10.0 but ended up with a BF SP of 5.0, now im not afraid to lay at 10, if you look at my list, but it is i think a bit early to know what the market is going to do, so the second half of challenge all selections will be posted at 1pm, hopefully minimising perhaps such big margins, but its going to happen at both end, ive had loads drift so the most important thing is GET EM BEAT!! Cheers :) |

Think there's value in taking on Treasury Counsel in the next. Jumping might be suspect and the 2nd fav should still give it a race. Might trade out IR depending what happens.
By:
wtf - it got so short Ir I lost my nerve and took a small profit at the first chance.

treasury 1.78 to win/1.4 to place before the off.......laying prices imo.

Was going to suggest Cuccinello as a lay in 310 - but taken a huge drift so no value in it for me.
