Still upset about Chelters being called off. Will probably start to look at something later in the week. Am already on Mamlook for Saturday but wouldn't want any more rain for that one if it runs. Am also still upset about the RP website, absolute garbage now and have hardly been there since it changed and have now stopped buying the papers in protest. Other than that, I am very optimistic that I can dig out a winner or two before the year is out.
I am very keen on a horse that owes me nothing and is due to run at the big meeting at Chepstow after Christmas. Notebook selections aren't normally my style, but I will have to do this one and am looking forward to it running. :) |

Well, another half successful day and no complaints. Both my selections for Saturday are now confirmed runners. That one up north is looking good and I'm hoping it does rain a bit, heavy ground would be a bonus. A good price anticipated and will post later. ;)

I like them all Fastbear, Blackmores Night, Whitesanke, Rainbow, all the Purple offsprings were brilliant. Five selections yestersay and not a sausage between them, few placed but no cigars, had better do some maths on Monday as I think our banks may well be near the desperation mark !! Once again I find myself indebted to the late, great Clive Holt, without whom I would never have backed either horse in todays fantastic double. All this after the other big one just a few weeks back. I had a strong 'gut feeling' that M de B would win and gave daughter an boyfriend a betting slip each for the singles and double. To hear the screams as M de B did the business was Christmas come early for all of us. Sentry Duty of course ran a great race and my worries about the ground were unfounded. Great stuff, what an end to the year!
Will be starting from scratch on Jan 1st, minimum stakes, mustn't get carried away, as we all know, a purple patch can soon become poor street! Off out with all tonight to celebrate. Merry Christmas all! :) :) :) :) k's. |
