Win bets are now 29/74 and place bets 50/74, Sunday to floow. |
|
By:
Sunday we were left with three bets,
One winner at 5.4, (Silver Spinner) for a profit of £228 Two placed at 1.9 and 1.2, for a negligible profit. Running total now, Win bets 30/77 and place bets 52/77. Win Bank would now be £5214 and place bank down to £2323. |

Another rushed day, a quick look brought these,
2.10 Lugato or chief Scout if it was backed to 8/1 or less. 1.40 Great Approach 2.55 The Dukes Speach 1.00 Brandywell Boy 2.10 Meerydown No time for owt else !! Good luck Fastbear, Jonny and anyone else. |
|
By:
A bad day, all five qualifying selections lost, only two placed at 1.25 and 1.8. Runnning totals now Win Bets 30/82, Place bets 54/82, will do the maths when I get a chance later. The losing runs will always be there with purely systematic betting, more so when there is little or no time to reduce the number of selections with some form study. A better idea of how it will perform will be gained after 100 bets and an even better idea will be gained after 1000 bets !!

Still looking good Magpie, you are still going to have at least 30% at 100, but probably a bit more than that I would say. Keep up the good work. :)
|
|
By:
Hiya Fastbear, I think I would have settle for a 30% strike rate at the outset, a good start gave false hopes though, as it always will, the 100 mark will show a much clearer picture :) Anyway still in a healthy and profitable situations despite some rapid falls, Win Bank down to £4714 and the Place bank down to £2123. there is always tomorrow.

Hi Magpie. I know you're not so keen on the big races, but do you have any thoughts on the Hennesey? I've already done Verasi at a big price (along with the rest of the forumites it seems) but I also like the look of one or two others as well. ;)

The downturn continues, just the one winner from four and that odds on !! Three placed from four though at, 1.7, 1.63 and 1.1 for a small place profit. Win bets now at 31/86 and a bank of £4454, on its way down !! place bets now 57/86 and a bank of £2144, slightly up.
Will have a look at the Hennessy Fastbear, and report to you soon !! Hope you have had a decent day ? |

Not my forte these big races but never mind. Snoopys Loopy has come up the weights quickly this year, still lightly raced for a 10 yr old which could explain the improvement at his age, won over the distance and has three from seven on the going, only had sixteen runs over fences but only out of the frame three times, if last weeks race didnt take too much out of him then currently trading at 40s looks big !! Albertas Run looks to have been laid out for this, his last race a Carlisle was over far too short a distance, typical of Jonjo O'Niell to do it this way, a four week break, only once out of the frame in seven attempts over fences and that was the aforementioned race, has won a Grade One over twenty five furlongs and is two from two on the forecast going, bloody hell I'm starting to tempt myself here !! :) stables in decent enough form too ! trading at around 13, looks tempting. This pair are also around 3.8 and 4.5 to be placed, although those markets haven't formed properly as yet. What else were you looking at Fastbear ?
|
|
By:
Oedipe, Albertas Run and if it had been alot firmer most definately Always Waining. I think Island Flyer, although on a light weight will have to improve a fair bit, but would have been tempted at a bigger price.
The fact now, is that Newbury looks like it could get a right soaking before the race and if thats the case I will go in again on Verasi. Just one other thing, a while back, I gave one of the biggest speed figures I've ever given a chaser in the mud, if it comes up a bog and it runs, I think My Will could surprise a few. :) |
|
By:
I can see where your coming from with My Will, he has a cracking record in Class One chases, 16/21 in the frame, but only three wins. Has form on the soft and has won over further, and three wins at this time of year, a negative though is the jockey, presumably Sam Thomas would have had the choice of mounts.? And a 581 day absence to overcome !! But like you say, if the going gets heavy and tough, could be worth taking a little chance on.
|
|
By:
The monster speed figure I gave My Will was in what I rated as very heavy ground, it's early days yet with the weather, but if it looks like coming up a bog, then I will have a bit on, don't need to have much at mo with the prices on offer.

Afternoon Fastbear, nice winner for you there ! :) I'm in Jersey at the moment so will post when I can, hence no posts for a couple of days, just a quick look at your namesake system toay,
12.45 Lake Legend 2.20 College Ace 2.55 Nothing is Forever, certainly true about systems !! and if there was money for Reigning Monarch in the 4.15, in to the first three in the betting. Have a good day. |

I sense a bad day today Fastbear, first time at the pc for a couple of day to check your namesake system and the last two days were pretty damn good !! Sods law says today wont be !!
|
|
By:
It will all level out in time, hopefully for the best! As for my little idea, I am happy enough at the mo. I am trying to keep selections down to 2 a day really because I like the idea of 1 double a day, as well as the singles, and it is an easy way sometimes of having a hefty bet on your real fancy (the second horse) with no questions asked! ;)
|

By:
A profitable day for the fastbearform system, three selections,
One winner 6.6, Two were placed at 2.4 and 1.15 |
